Hey Robbaz not trying to be an asshole but I would like it if you removed your Robbaz ending with the "please subscribe". I'll subscribe when I want to and it only makes you look like a douche bag by adding that at the beginning and the end of your videos IMO.
I have to say that OFP2 looks better, but ArmA 2 probably plays better and is more true to the OFP realm. All of the gameplay I've seen from OFP2 makes it look like a large-scale America's Army 3.
you can get shot in the head and all you have to do is take out a magical field dressing. This game is nothing like OFP 1
So tell me, do you actually play games, or do you just benchmark them?
Also, you should credit the Black Mesa: Source Team for that little exit tune that you put in all your videos. It's a great piece, and I fucking hate it when people steal shit like that without even crediting it. They're just a mod team, they deserve having their stuff credited.
I just ignore him and his posts to be honest, almost if not all of his posts are just of his youtube videos. And if you notice, he REALLY sucks at playing games.
Go look on the codemaster forums. It's not the only thing people have found.
Codemasters also put an invisible "box" around players, so only so many rounds being fired at you will penetrate this "box" allowing you to survive longer.
You're trying too hard. The AI may be able to see through grass in ArmA but they can't see through foliage like bushes or trees, how do I know this for sure? All the bushes and trees have viewblock objects in them, which is what codemasters should have done. Furthermore, the AI can only see through grass at short ranges in ArmA 2.

They're not. You can go ask them, they already released a player made fix for the AI engagement range and the "protection box". I'm currently using it. It improves the game a fair bit, but the game still has a truckload of faults that won't be fixed by any amount of value editing.
The 64 entity limit is a engine limit. Codemasters admits this themselves, also on the forums. I've always said that the idea of using a racing game engine for a "large scale" war sim is a bad idea.
EDIT: BTW it's not me whos ghostrating you dumb.

Uh no it didn't.

Lol you can't review ArmA on a one off basis, unless your review consists of playing a Shack tactical or some other major community event.
What I love is that even though you hate this game so much, you spend all of your waking time on the thread for it. Most people would just go onto the ArmA2 threadm but instead you come here to bash around people who actually like the game.
This game has many flaws but at the same time it's pretty good in some aspects.
I tried playing this but the forced, un-toggleable mouse acceleration (not mouse lag) made it pretty much unplayable for me. Lame.
I really don't know what to think of this game, I really want to like it (especially since I spent £40 on it), but it just makes everything a major task due to retarded AI. I'm sure the game would be alot more fun if they stuck the mission creator in the 360 version, but oh well.

dood, professional changes his point of view every so often at other topics just to make some great die hard critique. I wouldn't call it a troll since he's still serious. And in some other way he isn't.

I also find it ironic that the lead moderator/possible developer over at the Codemaster's forums has the same avatar as Professional does.
I've played the DEMO for ARMA II and it was laggy as FUCK. I played OPF2 and I didn't really lag. ARMA II was a little to ambitious in the graphics department and I think that even though OPF2 has the 64 entity engine limitation, that it comes out for the better just because I can play the game.
Another point is that I love Co-operative games. The fact that OFP2 forces you to work out as a squad in CO-Op campaign is great. I get a sense of "planning an attack" and carrying it out. Even though ArmA II is really really realistic I do not like the muffled gun sounds and the engine noises tanks makes. I know OFP2 sounds are over exaggerated and not realistic but I like that.
Multiplayer is good, but 4 maps aren't enough, and we can't load other poeple's homemade multiplayer maps
Another reason that I'm glad I bought ArmA II instead of wait for this messy game.
hmmm... glad to see OFP2, but.. no soviets?
damn.
It's an okay game. The coop is a blast. :fuckyou:

The young mainstream gamer won't associate himself with the awesomeness of the Cold War, which is why they have to use a "more likely" adversary like Communist China.

Its been like this since battlefield 2 or fallout I guess
Wait a minute, did I see bright muzzle flashes in the ego trailer instead of a puff of smoke? Oh, and a generic whiz instead of a crack when bullets go past you. I hope they change that or it can be modded out.
Speaking of which, the CG trailer they had at E3 has the complete opposite.
Have you ever even fired a gun? A civilian-model Chinese SKS rifle (Semi-auto, not bolt action) can have a huge fucking puff of flame out the end. Yes, there is smoke when you fire guns. But it DOES create light. Superheated gas creates light as it gets ionized, genius.

Now now, don't get your panties into a knot over smoke and muzzle flash. Most military weapons are equipped with flash suppressors which reduce the "flame". Even if the weapon is capable of producing a flash during bright daylight (particularly the short barrel ones) it would look more sporadic than a flash from every shot.
I'll let Dslyecxi, a former Marine answer the rest in his Tactical Gaming done Right article.

Lolol, Dslyecxi isn't a former Marine, he's a wannabe Marine.
But yes, his tactical gaming done right article is a godsend.

Aaaaand here comes the flame war.
Not a great game, wish i had not spent my money on it, but it's not terrible, when it does work it works really well, and the editor is piss easy to work with, but 64 units only, fuck me what are you suppose to do with that? I want to make realistic battles, you cant do that with 20 men each side on a 240 km map
