I remember playing this when I was 10. Never really understood what happened and I was greatly annoyed by the fact that I couldn't find out how to aquire a lightsaber. Too bad I sold the game or I would've played it again to see if it's any good.
You get a lightsaber once you get to Dantooine.
[sp] yeah, I shoulda made a second save to play good and bad, but i just did good, on bad you get his mask right? i thought it was cool how you ripped the languages from their minds[/sp]
[sp]You get his outfit when on the ship at the end instead of the good outfit when you use that machine to generate armor.[/sp]
I first played this years ago, on it's release I think, and again recently. My first time playing it was my first RPG - and I had no idea how anything worked. I ended up only auto-levelling and had no idea how to use force powers, yet it was still more memorable than my second playthrough more recently.
I always find that when you play a game for the first time and you have no idea what to do, you wish you knew more about the game. And then when you become better you wish you were clueless again.
Bioware makes the best games. KoTOR is no exception. I mean, HK-47 is the best damn character in all of Star Wars. you can't beat a Homicidal Droid with sharp wit like that.
Best plot twist EVER.
Did The Sith Lords Restoration Project ever get done?
I'm doing some research on this as we speak. Their official site is down so it looks like the group died BUT it seems someone else picked it up and finished it. I'm not fully 100% sure on everything yet. [editline]11:27PM[/editline] Ok, I think I've got it figured out. Team Gizka is dead and only the last beta release from them is available, so anything relating to that project is dead. However, two other users from some other site got annoyed at how Team Gizka was taking their sweet ass time so they decided to make their own restoration mod. This mod goes under the name of "TSL Restored Content Mod" and is actually completed with the final version being 1.5. Here's the link: http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/TSL_Restored_Content_Mod;111657 Thank god someone uploaded it to filefront because the site the creators were from is gone aswell.
Absolutely loved every second of both games.
If I replace the steam exe with a no-cd for the widescreen patch, will it still launch through Steam properly? Like, my status will say in-game and I'll be able to access the overlay.
It will work fine. I ran 1920x1080p with the no-cd and the widescreen patch. Steam won't ban you for it.
I followed the instructions and did the patch, but when I select my res (1920x1080) from the in-game menu nothing happens.
