Slardar's pretty easy to farm with maxed E too. And your teammates will love you when you use blink dagger + W to initiate.
So how do you do this? Just land every last hit in lane?
Land almost every last hit in lane and jungle between waves, and get kills, and somehow take towers while you do it.
The guy is known as z-god for a reason.
Can someone list the best solo heroes?
Talking about heroes who can use abilities to farm from a safe distance, while soaking up EXP and shit.
I know windrunner and beastmaster, what's some others?
Would magnus solo work? You buy a soul ring and use shockwave to farm/harass.
[editline]29th October 2012[/editline]
Also speaking of magnus, he's insanely underrated.
It's kinda weird.
He has this amazingly powerful ulti, but no one uses him for some reason.
By the way, is morphling really that bad nowadays?
He has the 3rd lowest win rate.

It has taken him a shitton of practise to do so though.
I have similar sense of farm, but my lasthitting is quite awful at early levels.
So how do you do this? Just land every last hit in lane?
It's the art of last-hitting. Or the.. how it works.
Every missed last-hit from your lane creeps is automatically off from the total amount of gold you could have acquired from the lane creeps you will face in 20 minutes, starting from the very first creep reaching low health.
They spawn infinitely, but only so often and the games only last so long. So.. you see, right?
It's kinda weird.

He's hard to place in a team.
He almost always takes the part of a carry, but is quite bad in a safelane with support. He absolutely needs solo lane to do good.
Mid: It's the only lane he could be able to, but not as good as there are "better" mids like Lanaya/QoP who gank harder than him.
Jungle: Don't even think about this.
Hardlane solo: too mana dependant without items for that, he has escape mechanism though and farm ability, but they cost too much mana (taking his manapool into account)
Mag takes too much farming to become effective, and absolutely needs sololane and the only option is mid for him.
This is the biggest reason he isn't picked, he got buffed in recent patch, so we might see some Mag picks in the future, but I still doubt it because of the reasons listed above.
Can someone list the best solo heroes?
Any hero with an escape mechanism and/or wards can usually do well if that's your criteria. Just watch the map for ganks and if they make a move just fall back and if you weren't under their tower when they made the move you should get away unless it's like a double stun lane or something.
I find Lone Druid to be one of my favorite solo-laners just because I rush to level 5 and then become a ganker with entangle.

The buff to his shockwave is pretty big.
We might see some bottlecrowing offlane magnus because the range on that lets him get some decent last hitting in. He can be played as a blink initiator utility role rather than that of a primary carry. Throw empower on the carry in fights.

Certainly not the best, but I like clockwerk as an offlaner. You can snipe last hits with the rocket, escape with battery assault/cogs. Get to lvl 6 quickly and then the fun begins.
Can someone list the best solo heroes?
Any hero with a good escape mechanism and a ranged attack. Windrunner, QoP, weaver, mirana, and the like. Batrider can work because he can go over cliffs.
Natures profit and lone druid can mess up creep waves with summons, so they can guarantee some experience. Enigma and Liche can deny creeps to force the wave to push towards them eventually. Invoker can go tango boots (and with the update add a branch/clarity) and rely on the movement speed and quas to sustain himself, though this is kind of rare.
Some melee heroes also work because of some combination of abilities. Dark seer works because he has both ion shell and surge. Beastmaster and clockwerk are good because they can get last hits with abilities and have high starting armor. Tidehunter works decently against some lineups because he starts of supremely tanky, especially with anchor smash, and just needs vision so he doesn't get cornered. Brood, bounty hunter, and Treant can sit invisible to gain experience as well.
Bounty, Treant, Brood, pretty much all lvl 1 invis heroes.
And Furion/Lone Druid, if you can micro your trees into bringing the waves to you.
Edit;
Above post says the same as mine and much more, read that!
Oh, and I already knew about bounty.
Him and beast are my favorite solo's so far.
Dire solo beast has an advantage over radiant solo beast. He can stack while in lane.
I'm horrible as Beast. I played a bot match as him and did absolutely hrorible. I think I was 1/12/4
Anyway, tis a sad day when a I murderstomp in a low priotorty match compared to normal matchmaking.
Then again I was Drow and she's absolutetly overpowered. Just get a soul ring, toggle your Q and your on a kill streak.
Any predictions for when the halloween update will be? It would be odd if the update came out after halloween
Second time in a row that i have an Invoker that goes WE, is there any new skill build i wasnt aware of or what.
Any predictions for when the halloween update will be? It would be odd if the update came out after halloween
Knowing Valve, they will release it on Thursday, and make a silly joke about being a day late.
Any predictions for when the halloween update will be? It would be odd if the update came out after halloween
Only 3 possible days left for it. Today, tomorrow, or wednesday. Anything after wednesday is too late.
6.76c parity patch and bugfixes just rolled out.
support mag works
you play support early, carry later
I like getting battlefury on him, not for the cleave but for the regen it gives
The cleave and damage makes your ult super strong

I tried brood, she's really fun to play! I had to treant solo against CM and kunkka once
I fucking dominated their gay lane.
I never tried tide solo, but i've seen it in competitive games, will try to do it. I did clockwerk once, was fun shooting flares for last hits.
I played Sidelane Solo Invoker in a comp game before. I was against a dual lane Veno and QoP.
I think I killed them both twice before they got a gank from mid and killed me.
Invoker with a level advantage is fantastic, y'all should definitely try him sidelane.

Believe it or not, Lich also works wonders on solo suicide.
Believe it or not, Lich also works wonders on solo suicide.
Out of all the supports I've played, I never played lich
Out of all the supports I've played, I never played lich
He is fun, and hell of a solo too, also he is SO support that he even has lines when he buys Wards.
A while back I was playing SD with some friends
my choices:
Spectre
Invoker
Clockwerk
yea fuck you GAME. They all are good, but I can't play any of them
Spectre is pretty easy if you take 4 seconds to read the ability descriptions.
Spectre is pretty easy if you take 4 seconds to read the ability descriptions.
This, just rice rice rice rice, teamfight happening? use ult, destroy everyone, go back to ricing
Spectre is pretty easy if you take 4 seconds to read the ability descriptions.
Needs a heapload of farm to be useful though imo.
Needs a heapload of farm to be useful though imo.
I've never played spectre without somehow managing to outlevel and outfarm everyone, it just kinda happens.
When you get Radiance up you just snowball out of control, she is the Anti-Melee Carry.

Strange thing, that is true.
Unless its a pretty shitty spectre, this WILL happen.
I remember this game where we left her farming for a few minutes and thought "haha, we got this, she got nothing on us..."
Minutes later, we could NOT kill her without getting a fuckload of damage in return and dying.
I think we only killed her once after that. Even worse when she isn't exactly the only player in the enemy team.
Now I feel like trying her, but... First and last time that I did, I couldn't last hit for shit and also couldn't use her for shit.
Besides, it will only be useful if the game kicks into late game, and right now, I don't even think thats possible unless the losing team bounces back and people stall to take it to 1 hour without jungle ganks.
How should I build her?
Treads and radiance rush?
What about abilities? What to level?
