So is the halloween patch not coming out this year, or is valve just playing the patient game with us?
Halberd is such an under-appreciated item.
I just remembered why people hate the DotA community so much.
Just played with a huge BM'ing Naga Siren and the enemy team had this jackoff Sand King and Kunkka who when I paused for our DC'd Void (who was getting quite farmed) unpaused immediately. We could have won the game if we waited for Void, but they just rushed the base and killed us with their farmed Lifestealer. Only one of them worth a penny.

They could just re-name it the Fall map and keep it all November.

This looks so ridiculous.
(It also looks awesome)
fortunately, no pub player knows what he's doing when it comes to meepo.
I remember my first time seeing Meepo do well, the only time too.
It was back in WC3 DotA. I didn't even know what Meepo did, but this guy picked him and solo'd bottom. This guy raped the ever living shit out of the game. After every kill he'd yell in all chat "MEEEEEEPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"
I've never seen someone do good with Meepo since.
Spam frost nova, a nova at the same level as them does the trick after 2 times, a nova that is 2 levels higher than them will hurt.
so you're telling me that you want to stick your head how far down the lane in order to harass, get stunned and die due to your abysmal health?
nice.
so, you don't waltz down the lane, you just keep denying creeps and staying in xp range so you level up. so what happens when the creep wave appears under your tower with a catapult, or a 3rd hero appears? You can't spam frost nova on 3+ targets.
nice, you've just lost the lane completely.
It sounds blunt, but a lot of teams ran the solo suicide lich on the same reasoning and worked great until a couple of teams came to the realization that lich has no anti-push and no lane presence by himself, so they just pushed the tower down and punished the team for picking the hero for suicide laning.
Don't get me wrong it works in most pubs, but in most pubs you get people who just can't lane properly.
Centaur bought gloves of haste as his starting item and no regen.
Tanks creeps, ignores harrassment and dies several times.
"Omg whyd u pick wisp fuck noob team !"
26 minutes into the game he finishes building power treads, his only item.
Somehow he has 136 wins.

the problem with meepo in dota 2 is the net is significantly slower in dota 2 than it is in dota.

there's a visible difference between the two if you test them.

Of course Lich solo doesn't work against competent players, were not talking about that however.
The chance of midlane deciding to push top, or even top lane deciding to push top, is so abysmal, that solo Lich will work.

I apologize for my teams behavior, but the thing is, faceless void didn't reconnect by 5 minutes... or the next 5 minutes after that. Saying you won because our team unpaused is a moot, point, he wouldn't have come back with or without us unpausing.

the chance of a jungler is high
e: also i dont know what your mmr is but i get people who can decently lane and know when to push so idk lol
having a bad night?.. stalker
:v:
how do i build luna
the chance of a jungler is high
Not at all.
I rarely see junglers, and if they do jungle, its the 30 min afk farm type.
Also, theres no MMR, there are just 3 skill level categories, and I am forever stuck in normal it seems. (Albeit from what I've seen, there are just as many bad people in very high as in normal)

I would say I'm decent with Meepo, but I would choose someone else over him if it was a serious match. I don't have that much of a problem with microing, since most of my games that I owned as a child were RTS games.
Edit: Can someone explain this to me? Just had a bot game where this Phantom Lancer was jungling from the start. And at the 25 min mark he had diffusal and heart. How.

First game played since almost 1 year ago. Not too bad I think.

there is MMR (proof, valve did remove the debug info showing mmr though.), the brackets are just a range of mmr values and that statement is conceptually flawed
think about it, you're saying that there's only 3 possible values to match make people on, and that if there isn't some underlying score or ranking determining these values then how do shift someone between these values accurately?

Badly worded on my part, I meant the MMR hardly matters seeing as theres only 3 categories with little difference (Albeit overall I guess very high is more skilled than normal or high)
Since the 3 categories range is rather large, a complete (bad) newbie can be matched with someone on the very end of normal bracket, which knows what hes doing but isn't quite there.

If you get slowed once by someone you're fucking stuck in nets forever.

are you trying to imply that mm is done on bracket
i give up
why wouldn't you use a value relating to the skill level of a person when trying to match them with people of similar skill?!
I love Beastmaster, nothing more satisfying than farming up your stack after 20 - 30 minutes. Walk in with Pipe, Tranquil Boots and Soul Ring, come out with Blink Dagger, Travels and a Point Booster.
Damn im so mad right now, i was CK and was doing really well, got Treads-Armlet-Drums at 14 and killed their Drow a lot, i saw their Dragon Knight had a Helm, so we went to his stacks and killed them twice, i told Jug to build a Deso since i had an AC and lowering armor counters DK...what he builds instead? a Vlads.... then when i remind him that, he builds a Butterfly...and then he yells at me saying it was my fault we lost and he was breaking his back carrying me... he was 8/5 and i was 7/5, he wasnt carrying anyone...of course we lost because of their DK

His comp restarted on it's own. He would've, but your team had deplorable behavior, especially Sand King.

It could just be like starcraft where leagues can overlap with each other.
I have a game under very high in the replays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love that feeling when the whole enemy team + creepwave is banging on your tower and you just walk up and deny it with 1 autoattack.
2 games in a row where they refused to pause so they won
Pause for what
You'd think lich is an easy hero to play? This guy has about 540 wins and can't even land his ult once through out the whole game.
