1 hour game and you expect one of THE hardest carries (THE the hardest carries, alongside with Spectre) to not win ?
He is where he is supposed to be now I believe. You can't "lollygag" around with enemy having such carries and expect to win because you have kill-lead at 20 minutes.

PL managed to outcarry you in a one hour game.
I could do that against almost any hero BEFORE the buff..
PL was not worth it before, now he is actually worthwhile, no need to destroy what has made him viable.

In Dota 1 the Basher worked for melee and ranged equally and stacked with Sniper's Headshot, so the best strategy was to go MoM and 2 Bashers and permastun someone, I did it a few times back in the days and it was just ridiculous, imagine Enigma's Malefice but more often and it's on you until you're dead.
They fixed it later though.

He'd keep spamming the global armor on me and I was jungling faster than I had ever done before.

Uh...no.
Meld's cooldown is short enough that you won't need an item to go stealth, and with the fade time on Amulet in comparison it's not worth shelling out 1600 gold at all.

check lane comps and make sure its not just you going up against ass comps, then snag an early ring of health with whatever sparse gold you have, get bf, no fun allowed etc etc
Battlefury cost so much though, by the time I do somehow by some sort of miracle get it the game ends and my team will win.
