And the conduct towards misplays/new players is more of anonymity than people wanting to change? All moba communities will have some sort of asshole in it and that won't change. As someone that used to go to street fighter gatherings, there isn't as much assholery since everyone can see everyone while assholes will just be ganged up on by others. They know they can be hurt so they don't do it. Now over the internet, even if someones being yelled at by 9/10 people to stop being an asshole will that really change their way?

That's main reason. It does have branches, one of which is people used to hostility being natural for these kind of games in general, which begets acceptance, which begets neglegence, and so forth.

Hey should change the name of Mjollnir, it's problematic because it's impossible to pronounce over chat. Im just fonna start calling it the upgraded Maelstrom

Try Keeper + Axe.

Constant battlehunger + illuminate makes for a lot of damage and difficulty to last hit without getting spinned on/hit by a wave if done right.

If I called NP whatever the fuck his current name is, people would think I'm fucking crazy.

I've called NP "Furion", I've called Brewmaster "Panda", I call Magnus "Magnataur", I call everything by their original name and have never had anyone be confused. I've never had anyone object to me calling NP "Furion" because "they read the lore and that isn't his name!" If they did, everyone in the game would call them retarded. I'm pretty sure professional casters call NP "Furion".

My friend randomed Beastmaster and I offered to take him off his hands
Problem is I am absolutely garbage at Beastmaster...
I got demolished in my lane but Weaver would come in and pick up the scraps
Apparently there were quite a few scraps because Weaver got like a 10 minute radiance and was Level 24 when everyone else was around 13...
Then I somehow got a Level 3 Necrobook and an Aghs and just spammed my ult and right clicked people who got black holed so all was good
