You've seen his item choices entire game. Why not just ask "Void, why the Tranqs and what are you going for?".
If he answered "rushing Mjollnir" and you wouldn't agree with it, just suggest "You might want to invest in battlefury. This might be a longer one ( 3 carries on enemy team pretty much) and BF will cover HP regen and give you a lot of farm. Then you can get Hyperstone. Before that try to keep TP scroll and assist-chrono if possible."

- person realises you give a damn because you typed that much and in that detail
- you show arguments, i.e. you validate your experience of the game so teammate can see it
- you open up chat for discussion of further tactics because teammates won't perceive you as another random pubber but as well spoken teammate
Give it a try, shit's like weed at times. I am sometimes surprised I ain't angry, just curious and choking a laugh when Tide double-clicks blink instead of clicking it once and Ravages air while we are teamfighting. Sure I lose games but I try my hardest even though it ends up with other players doing badly usually, but it still means I am still getting experience even after years of playing dota, and it is still fun to me.

Fiery Soul confuses the fuck out of me
Lina is a perfect support/ganker but Fiery Soul is basically screaming "buy a Desolator", especially since they buffed the attack speed.
