Sniper shouldn't even go shadow blade. Sniper relies on team to auto-attack enemies to death, not a ninja with windwalk to stalk around enemy woods at night. And sniper needs lane support, unless he happens to go mid, and even then he would seek for an easy enemy to lane against, otherwise he's better off farming on the safe lane. So, when it happens so that Sniper can farm and team counter-ganks any ganking attempts on Sniper, or so, he should go for mad attack speed and damage because that's what his team expects from him during team fights.

Am I the only Dota 2 player that doesn't rage and insult other players? I still sometimes get upset at bad teammates, or sometimes feel like bragging when stomping the other team, but I keep those comments to myself. Raging at a bad teammate isn't going to make them play better, and insulting the other team won't get you anywhere or anything.
He can get more AS and an escape mechanism with shadow blade.
This is going off on a tangent here but you can do a hell of a lot more with BKB or Manta on Drow (as far as survivability goes) than Shadow Blade. I imagine Sniper is the same.
sniper is an amazing turtle hero though, you're probably playing with massive retards (or are just better players overall). his insane range + superb position makes him nigh impossible to kill without overextending or shit and i just picked him now. gl hf

As for Weaver, if you want to harass someone out of the lane, or possibly kill, you can Shukuchi through the whole lane and go behind the target enemy Hero, then immediately start attacking from there and the creeps either won't go after you or take a brief moment to run to you and you will have windwalk ready again. So when midding against sniper and the creeps are on the water, you can Shukuchi wind-walk through the creeps, through the sniper and up the stairs on Sniper's side, then just start attacking him. You get the double-attack 1 or 2 times and you can Shukuchi away fast all the time anyway.

Disruptor came to gank once and managed to kill him. After I was already dead. And then he died from tower fire and sniper's last hit... Yeah, in my games, ganks are hard to come by unless the guy mid has a good start, and even then thats a rare thing. It's mostly team fights that win games with me...

[editline]19th October 2012[/editline]
Yeah, I can't say I didn't fuck up either :/
Yeah Weaver's quite challenging and tricky Hero. Plus like most, if not all carries, Weaver needs to last-hit like a motherfucker. That can be a bit of a challenge itself when up against something like Sniper which is one of the best deny-heroes.
Huh, I feel like Maelstorm/Mjollnir is like core on sniper, and try to get them early as possible.
They give you AoE damage that results in increased farm.
Desolator is the worst item you can get on Sniper because it tells people exactly where you are. :v:
Gentlemen, we have Halloween soon. From the looks of it, it's all about trick or treating. Special event/gamemode for it.
I like how I win games where I play like shit, and then lose one where I actually perform well.
Medusa and Brad soon aswell apparently! No slark I guess, but that's fine.
Desolator is the worst item you can get on Sniper because it tells people exactly where you are. :v:
pretty insane damage though, makes killing supports easier and faster
pretty insane damage though, makes killing supports easier and faster
Honestly, I'd only get it if we really needed some tower busting power. If I wanted insane damage, I would pick up an MKB or Daedalus.
Honestly, I'd only get it if we really needed some tower busting power. If I wanted insane damage, I would pick up an MKB or Daedalus.
Myself and some friends who have played sniper have gotten an early desolator if we've gotten a good amount of gold early. It allows us to basically get some free kills as no one expects that much damage, then the team can start roaming around and taking towers, maybe forcing teamfights. If Sniper with a deso is in a teamfight early on, and is able to get even a few shots off uncontested, he's won.
yep, that damage is very surprising during clashes, especially when the enemy team has low armored heroes. a few pops could wreck their shit then you just assassinate them while hiding up that cliff like the little pussy you are. fun!
Gentlemen, we have Halloween soon. From the looks of it, it's all about trick or treating. Special event/gamemode for it.
You must run to many houses, collecting candy from the people (Which are all creeps or neutral creeps.) while killing enemy team players to steal their candy. Defeating Roshan yields the largest candy bounty, and drops a pumpkin aegis. Bring the most candy to your ancient within the allotted time or reach the amount specified before the other team to win. Edit: Defeating Roshan releases cursed spirits that will steal candy from players all across the map. Defeating them drops the candy it stole, and gives you slightly extra.
Anti-Mage you are fucking useless early-game, especially against Lina and Queen of Pain together.
Anti-Mage you are fucking useless early-game, especially against Lina and Queen of Pain together.
Then that means you shouldn't pick mana burn first, you should pick blink and mana shield if your heroes are very aggresive.
Anti-Mage you are fucking useless early-game, especially against Lina and Queen of Pain together.
He's good at running away in all stages of the game though :v:
Then that means you shouldn't pick mana burn first, you should pick blink and mana shield if your heroes are very aggresive.
I always choose blink first. For now on I'll just farm until mid-game the moment creeps spawn.
He's good at running away in all stages of the game though :v:
Blink into trees all day erry day
Blink into trees all day erry day
Except I blink into trees that block my path when we are rushing to a fight or a tower or chasing someone... Sometimes, I feel like I'm high from some of the bad moves I do.
Gentlemen, we have Halloween soon. From the looks of it, it's all about trick or treating. 700th win by the 9th victory in a row, woop!
