I noticed that as my computer suddenly began shitting itself.
Why is it only dota 2 that instantly maximizes my disk usage?
Because the game dumps it's memory contents to the disk after crashing, in the Steam\dumps directory.

by the way go there and delete these gigabyte and half big files.
centaur is the BEST
THE BEST
Is his W magical damage? I think double edge did less damage when i got magic resistance.
Lesh + centaur lane is fucking funny, you both are prancing around then turn into killhungry savages, and want blood.
Just played a game and holy shit Lifestealer went into carry-mode and wrecked my entire team on his own. Then we get him alone and I use my ult and we all run into him and he couldn't kill us at all. Especially with the stuns.
He's my new favorite hero.
Wanted to play Centaur, someone on our team with 20 wins instapicks him
So I say fuck it and random Skeleton King. Game went to 60 minutes because they had Void, Dark Seer, and Witch Doctor so it was impossible to rax (new Witch Doctor ult rapes face by the way). We still managed to somehow win because their BH stole Aegis (I assume) from Void and we managed to pick Void off with a Bane ult as soon as they left Rosh pit
[editline]25th October 2012[/editline]
Centaur wasn't absolutely horrible though. Seemed to look at mini-map and use his global skill a lot better than I assumed a guy with 20 wins would've been able to, got me a few early kills that I might've missed had he not used it
And yet another game that people unpaused to get an advantage, then they gloated about it. Only difference is, me and bloodseeker fucking raped their faces. Then they were "Lulz so tr0llzor" and tried to spam pause the game near the end.
It's called reporting them. That's considered ability abuse and you can infact report them for that.
[editline]25th October 2012[/editline]
And the fact that you beat the shit out of them helps.

Actually you can't report for that. Ability abuse is only some in-game actives such as bane nightmare, pudge hook, or tiny throw. Sure it's unfair but that's what happens.

Lots of stuff.

Pretty sure you can report people for being dickheads.

I also consider ability abuse anything that a person can do as an ability such as pausing, disconnecting, afking, etc.

So pretty much anything that isn't feeding or flaming goes there
Can anyone suggest some easy to play heroes for my friend? he prefers strength, tankier heroes.
He's only just started recently

When updating it seems to rewrite massive segments of the game files. I've watched it with some tools out of curiosity. It has nothing to do with crashes. This occurs on every system I've ever installed dota 2 on, and people bitching about steam freezing up during dota 2 updates is pretty well known.
I have a feeling that the Dota 2 Halloween event will be released tomorrow with the TF2 Halloween event.
I have a feeling that the Dota 2 Halloween event will be released tomorrow with the TF2 Halloween event.
6.76b might have messed up their schedule. They've been pretty transparent about the updating, so I don't think we'll see a secret unexpected patch. Maybe it'll just be a general fall patch, instead.

Same. I just feel like it would be too late on any other day.
Ideal build for centaur should be few cheap items, with auras on them.
Core is always hood(pipe) and blink, up from there you can go shit like AC or Drums, if you want to be useful.
Armlet is not half-bad item on him either. He can toggle it on and rape faces with it, it also increases the damage return does.
Skillbuild is getting stomp at lv1, then maxing Double edge, along with stomp, taking return's 1st point at lv10, it's not that useful early, but you can get it if there is mouse2 happy enemy support on your lane hitting you.
Starting items can be anything along Salves/tangoes, branches, gauntlets and stout shield is good on him too.
1st item you buy from the sideshop is ring of health (+5hp regen ring), next up you buy boots, and upgrade them after you finish hood, unless you're getting tranq's which is right after you get your ring. Personally I like Treads on him, since it gives atspeed to give him more damage overall in fights. After hood and upgraded boots, go straight for blink, you can farm it up in no time because how amazing animation centaur has on his attack so lasthitting isn't a problem. Adding to that he can also jungle above average once he gets some hp regen. (I still don't recommend doing this at lv1, he can do it but he isn't good jungler)
The reason people build Hood on him as core item is exactly the same reason Pudge does, it adds up his effective HP even more, due to his amazing str gain, and it also reduses the damage double edge does to yourself. (Like Pudge's Rot)
Vanguard sucks on him, don't get it. You're alot better off with platemail(not blademail) into AC than getting vanguard at any phase of the game.
Common build for some reason (propably recommended items) is people get blademail on him, its not a good investment, you are supposed to take the damage, not encourage enemies to kill something else by the item's active.
Advanced items on cent are heart and radiance (after pipe), Radiance makes you a risky guy to leave alive in fights, since you burn them as long as you stay alive. Heart just makes you unkillable unless you do something idiotic.
If you for some reason are carrying, you can get Halberd and Daedalus, buffs up your damage by alot while giving lots of suivability.
soooo uhhh
dark seer's illusions of silencer can permanently steal int as well :v:

Vanguard doesn't seem half-bad on him, as regen it provides is nice and block works well with his damage return, however I see how it becomes weak extremely fast due to lack of strenght.
Stout, regen/gauntlets, into Tranquils/Threads with Vitality booster, maybe Drums on the way ? Ac is good and all, but platemail will do for a while I believe, and bonus attack speed will matter later more so, while heart will jumpstart your invulnerability. Hood early on will prove useful for regen without VG.
Tranquils are tricky thing. Regen is good, armor is good, active is good. But, Centaur loves to fight to proc return, be around to double-edge and stomp, so they will break constantly. + His str gain is big enough to make heal miniscule at times. It will serve as cheap clone fo Ring of Regen, except it's usefulness dimnishes the moment you get hood of defiance and Threads offer thread switching for complete mana issues removal and str boost.
He looks flexible, with items like Heart, Hood and Platemail offering him a lot of bang for the buck.

I could imagine using it with shallow grave on to be fun.
I could imagine using it with shallow grave on to be fun.
uhhhhhhhh but he can't kill himself with it anyway??
But he'll be getting attacked the shit out of when he has 1 hp, then he can deal 400 damage at a time to his hearts content
uhhhhhhhh but he can't kill himself with it anyway??
No.
Centaur can't kill himself with double edge, shallow grave or not
I just used centaur and it seemed to be awesome! Except we had 2 people leave right at the beginning and never join back, so we were struggling to manage...
I hope drow doesnt get a nerf in the next patch, already disabled in CM for the time being.
