The only thing that is niggling me with Dark Souls is there is still a huge mystery over the pendant gift. Some supposed secret that no one has found out about yet with it. Either that, or he's trolling us.

Gah, I really want to know more about this Pendant. It's obviously used for something.
Miyazaki is really a guy who likes to play with the audience and tends to troll, although there is always something behind his hints.
I hope the pendant will be important for something, perhaps in the dlc?

Maybe it has something to do with entering the DLC, Like the doll with the painted world?
That pendant was in the game way before they were even coming out with the added features, right? How could he have known to plan that far ahead?

Maybe they put it in as a place holder, if they ever wanted to do DLC. Just leave it useless if they don't
Trying to get the gear of Ornstein but his second form is so powerful and kicking my ass.
Besides I get constantly invaded in front of the bossfight, in that great hall. It always takes some time to kill those annoying gigants, then I wait to summon some people. During that time some jerk arrives and backstabs me without even waiting. Sometimes they just stab me while fighting those 2 giants.
If you stay close, the only attacks he can hit you with are easy to see coming and can be dodged easily.
I hear that the way of white covenant reduces the chance of invasions if you haven't summoned anyone yet. Also, I always summon right at the bonfire, at least then you don't have to go through the level again every time you get invaded.
Doing PvP in Darkroot Garden.
Guy invades me and kills me.
I go back to retrieve my souls and successfully recollect them.
Lost souls don't come back, and neither does my humanity.
200k souls and 40 humanity lost because of some glitch.
God damnit.

It better have turned into a vagrant for someone because I spent quite a while getting that humanity and souls.
How do you guys deal with multiple human opponents?
I've been invading people for several days now, I'm always pretty polite and show myself before attacking. Problem is, many people got atleast one phantom with them and when they see me, they just flank me and one guy stabs me in the back when I'm looking at the other one. It's a one-hit-kill most of the time 'cause I'm just some sorcerer-assassin dude and I never really advanced vitality or resistence. What do?

That's just a hell of a lot of practice, really. Also wait for 3v1's, those are super fun.
All I can say is remember that you can use the right analog stick to switch between possible targets. So if you lock onto one, you can switch to lock on to the other one. so never try to stay locked onto one for too long.
if you can't figure out where the other one is, roll. As long as you're not fatrolling, rolling will save your life a LOT.
also, 2v1 means all bets of fair play are off. Fish for backstabs, abuse enemies, abuse the terrain, use humanity to heal if you want. etc.
If I had a dazzle I'd throw up some videos of me beating the shit out of 2v1s. It's so fun.
Also remember that if you parry and riposte or backstab, you're immune to attacks until the animation finishes.
and seriously, if you get flinched, you're boned. stay super mobile, don't get hit.

i've gotten to the point now where i actually LIKE 2v1s, which is kind of sad actually

Honestly, From Software are capable of that. They are excellent at providing mysteries and hidden stuff for the game. There are tons of lore and story descriptions hidden all around, they manage to explain things in weird matters. That is what I like so much.
I've gotten pretty good at this backstabbing stuff. Still need to practice a lot more.
Need to work on my Parrying skills now. Kind of hard to do all that when I keep getting invaded by two invaders who don't want a fair fight.
Fuck yeah
Invaded a guy in the Darkroot Garden and I couldn't find him. I ended up running all the way to the door and I noticed something off to the side, just before you get to the bridge that leads to Sif.
It was a Red Phantom Vagrant. I immedienatly messaged the host and told him that there was a Vagrant in his world, and he replied saying he had no idea what that was.
A blue phantom ended up invading and I led him to the vagrant to show him what was going on. I messaged the host asking where he was at and, after I found him, led him to the monster, while the blue phantom followed us.
He killed it in two swings. I'm not sure what he got from it, but he dropped a Twin Humanity for me. I bowed to both players, and the blue phantom left. I walked off the side of a cliff.
The vagrant did a really weird attack that didn't seem to do anything. It shot like 8 or so needles into the air that seemed to have gone in random directions. Didn't even come close to hitting the host, and that was the only attack it got off.

Got a message from the host saying he got twin humanity, so I'm guessing he gave me what the monster dropped. He also said that it was very sporty of me to do that for him :v:
Today I went to the Crystal Cave to defeat Seath. Suddently I find another invisible pillar which leads me to a weird crystal crab creature, which I have never seen before in this game and I have played it a ton. What is that creature, it dropped a lot of Blue Titanite.

God I am getting my ass handed by Gwyn. Somehow I am unable to parry him, which always did the trick for me.

Use a black knight shield and block the first two hits then parry the third. Repeat
I managed it, at first I am always freaking out because he is so vicious, fast and has an incredible range. Usually I got nuts first and panick first, then I get used to it again. I parried a few times and used some pyromancy.
I really love the fight when you are not constantly parrying or using that lame iron flesh tactic. It is an incredible difficult boss fight. The music is terrific to, Gwyn is such a sad sight. Besides the Kiln of the first Flame looks absolutely stunning.
Am I the only one whole loves the change in tutorial between Demon's Souls and Dark Souls? Especially how killing the boss that was supposed to kill you in the former's tutorial is the only way out of the latter's.
Gravelord Nito, the First of the Dead is defeated. What a badass name.

Was too heavy at that fight. His fucking blade ripped me apart from below. Fuck him.

I killed him with his own fucking sword, I am the Grave Lord now, I AM THE GRAVE LORD DANTE
Honestly, he is fucking weak and very susceptible to fire, the real challenge are the other skeletons. Also right when you drop into his cave, just stand there and wait for him to come. The giant skeletons won't be alerted if you just stand there.

I dealt with the skeles and then went straight up to him and hack-and-slashed his bones off. I only stepped back when he charged up his AOE.
I was never arsed to get a divine weapon :v:
I'm starting to try this game again after it royally pissed me off a week after release, causing me to not play it since then, and the first boss is wrecking my shit even though I've beaten him before.
I know you're supposed to jump down on him from the tower, but I can't get up the tower for any more hits because he's either blocking the ladder or knocking me off while I'm climbing.
What the hell do I do? I can't take him in a straight fight since he just stunlocks me until I die.
The taurus demon is pretty easy, just run past him after the first hit and wait for him to follow you. When he attacks, dodge him and run back to the tower. Works everytime.

You probably won't want to go down by the lava lake after Ceaseless Discharge then. There's like 5 of them standing around down there. Although, most of the difficulty in the boss fight with the Taurus Demon is the tight bridge. Still, there's a bunch of them.
Fuckfuckfuck chaos eaters fuckfuckfuck
Going to improve my PVP skills again. Wish me luck.

It was probably a vagrant. When someone dies in an area and loses a pile of souls there, it has a chance of showing up in another person's world as a vagrant enemy that drops some nice stuff.
I've only ever seen one myself in around 200 hours of gameplay, and I fell off a ledge before I could kill it.
