You will have to eventually. At some point having a +3 weapon just isn't going to cut it, and you'll have to grind for hours upon hours to get large titanite shards. And worse, titanite chunks.

Your post confuses me.
I would like what has been mentioned before: Patrolling or random enemies.
Oh and also damn clothing physics for players! I hate seeing those sexy coats n' stuff on enemies and when I wear their armor it doesn't move an inch.
All I can say is: Ornstein's armor. The difference between him wearing it and the player wearing it. I want the red tuft, damnit.
And which enemies are you talking about that don't need to be where they are?
I didn't mean that they don't need to be there, I mean that it seems like they're just there for no particular reason.
A decent amount of enemies don't look like they have a purpose, and that they are just there to be there.
By which I mean that they just stand there, not doing anything.
They aren't guarding anything, they aren't going for some goal, they're just there.

I beat the game without grinding for items, my large club was all I ever upgraded. I'm not sure how it goes for other builds, but surely if you just save your stones until later on you'll have enough.

I'm saying farming for large titanite shards is tedious, but farming for titanite chunks is hellish.

Farming for slabs is hellish. Farming for chunks is tedious until you open the kiln. Large shards can be bought from the crestfallen merchant and the giant blacksmith.
Sorry to be pedantic.
I've never had to grind in this game unless I'm making PvP builds, I really don't see it as a requirement to get somewhere in this game.

If you are on xbox I have ~150 of each slab and you are welcome to have some if you want.
Should I do an Iron Tarkus build for NG+? or is it just not worth the trouble?
Iron Tarkus build is the best build.

You can finish your first playthrough with the lightning spear without ever having to even upgrade it

Besides you can just buy large titanite shards instead of grinding them from the leeches / balder knights
I currently have a level 55 faith build for helping people in Anor Londo, but I was thinking about getting up to around level 70 and I was wondering if this would be a good idea or not?

Chills up and down my entire body.
I'll have to play again tomorrow.

in my experience, getting coop at SL 60-80ish is very awkward anywhere you go, it's mostly 30-50 and SL100-125 in anor londo

In that case I'll probably go to 110 to 115, that way I'm right in the middle of the range.
How is the story presented to the player in this? Are there a lot of cutscenes or is it kind of like you have to figure out the story for yourself?

Poking around the files, and oh hey Dark Souls uses lua...although compiled..
If someone could decompile (regular luac ones don't work) we could probably make some Dark Souls mods when the PC version pops out.
And thus, it begins.
I don't want mods for PC.
Wouldn't work with the online components.

Nobody would force you though. Quite a few games disable online functionalities when altered game files are detected.

Well I'm sure they know how to force a user to be stuck in offline mode if a modified file is found.
Also at the moment, I don't believe you can recompress any archives. Most of the files are randomly named. There's still quite a bit to be done before there can be mods.

Don't forget the Hot Coffee mod. Ever wanted to bone a half-woman half-giant tarantula?
So I just beat the Asylum Demon to death with my bare hands
Well fuck, just got paid and was going to preorder the PC version on steam and the price has increased from $40 to $70 for Australians.

Oh wow, it fucking has.
I was waiting until it was closer to buy it and now I have to pay more.
The fuck?

And it's about exactly 1 month left to release. Now I'm scared the price hike will happen everywhere soon.
Time to preorder.
I pre-ordered mine as soon as I saw it was ready :v:
