It's fun after having played a primarily PvP invasion character to restart as a faith based sunbro and help people out wherever I can. I can't believe how many thank you messages I got after helping people out with the Capra Demon. I'm going to finish up the last couple of assists I need for great lightning spear helping with Quelaag. [editline]12th August 2012[/editline] Damn, I would but I'm only like level twenty-something right now and am currently stuck at the bottom of blighttown anyways. And all my other characters are above 90.
Ah, no problem man, this is actually my first time through New Londo, so it's proving a bit daunting, hopefully I can find a stray sign somewhere though, thanks anyway.
Get hype.
Who's that narrating? Is that Priscilla, or the Firekeeper or what? Also, Artorias looks pretty kickin' rad. Even though he sounds like he has chronic depression.
I realize I'm late to this discussion, but are they really saying that you can't play the game in a resolution higher than 1024x720? That's how I understood it, and that sounds absolutely horrid.

Yes it's horrible, I haven't played PC games in 720p since what, 2004? I have no idea how easy or hard it might be to fix that either. I'm not cancelling my preorder only because From made Otogi, so fine you can have my money this time.
As long as it doesn't look like a jagged mess I really couldn't care.
As long as it doesn't look like a jagged mess I really couldn't care.
Jaggies come from aliasing for which there is an AA option (and even if there wasn't, you can force it). The upscaling will make it blurry instead.

Also you can hear Sif's theme song play while she talks and You see Artorias's Sword
Does anyone know why Dusk of Oolacile [sp]eventually dies?[/sp] I randomly found her [sp]dead rotting corpse[/sp] in Darkroot Basin.
Does anyone know why Dusk of Oolacile [sp]eventually dies?[/sp] I randomly found her [sp]dead rotting corpse[/sp] in Darkroot Basin.
[sp]Full of her things?[/sp] Yeah. The deal is that she [sp]died a long time ago[/sp], but the time in Lordran is screwed up. I'm pretty sure you can still summon her to your time to make trades and stuff.
I really hope Darklurker isn't the final boss, they should have kept it a secret instead of adding him in the trailer and the Facebook pictures.

Mentioning this for anyone who wants to keep the new area a surprise. At the end of the video the developer explained the PvP matchmaking briefly. It's basically an area or arena built dedicated to PvP, where you can do 1v1 and 2v2 fights.
Just pre-ordered Dark souls. Can't Wait to play it when it comes out!
I want PvP, Hell I can't wait for the console DLC. Starting a new build soon
Does anyone know how the co-op will work in the PC version? Is there text chat?
Does anyone know how the co-op will work in the PC version? Is there text chat?
Probably not, they said it was a straight port and the Consoles didn't have text chat
Is the general level for PvPing in Dark Souls 120 like it was in Demon's Souls?
Is the general level for PvPing in Dark Souls 120 like it was in Demon's Souls?
Yes. [editline]15th August 2012[/editline]
Does anyone know how the co-op will work in the PC version? Is there text chat?
The only thing I can think of that could serve as text chat would be the steam overlay if you buy it there... Does anyone know how extensive Xbox Live community is on GFWL? If that allows for text chat it could kinda work too.
Its going to be fun tearing up some newcomers and messaging them "Welcome to Darksouls"
Its going to be fun tearing up some newcomers and messaging them "Welcome to Darksouls"
I might buy the PC version, Just to do this.
Its going to be fun tearing up some newcomers and messaging them "Welcome to Darksouls"
As much as I hate fighting the four kings, I'm definitely going to be fighting them early to get the red eye orb for this.
I'm gonna miss my Xbox characters once I switch over.
I had so much fun with one of my PS3 characters that I'll be remaking them on my first play though on pc. Pvp was great with the character too.
Thinking I'll make a pvp character off the bat and put points only in vit/end and play my first playthrough 100% human.
Can't wait to play this in a week. Just hope GFWL won't crap out on me. It's been increasingly difficult to sign into gta4 and arkham city lately.
Any tips for a sorcerer? I started a new character because my other one sucks balls. Should I carry a sword or something as backup early on?
Alot of vitality 50+ , 26 or 36 endurance, 45 dex for faster casting speed. and 50 in int/faith. The left over points go into vitality until you reach level 120-125. You would want a rapier or sharp weapon to get some nice parry/backstab damage on npcs and players.
I've been carrying around a scimitar for now and I'm progressing really well.
