Dark Souls (PC/PS3/360)v2 - Prepare to Die edition. - Games

Prepare to Die Edition came out at my local EB Games today, picked up my copy. I tried to activate my key on Steam, but no luck, and I of course can't play the game until it's time for release, but the new artbook is nice, and I got a free mouse and pad with it.

Cool. If the street date is broke hopefully it'll be uploaded somewhere so people can unofficially pre-load the game.

UI and controls don't bother me because I'm using a gamepad, but if it ends up like GTAIV or Saints' Row 2, I won't be able to play at a comfortable framerate. If people were wondering about the size of Dark Souls, the folder it's in is 3.63 gigabytes in size. The opening, title and good ending videos are easy to access video files that add up to 387MB. It'll probably want to download a couple GB worth of stuff when it opens up though.

Well, some jackass invaded me and he had some kind of flaming sword and weird robe or some shit, tried chasing me down and stuff while I was hiding in that building in Undead Burg that can only be reached by jumping a roof. He saw me and spent like half an hour trying to shoot me and stuff, but he couldn't find a way up. Eventually he came out of nowhere and was running at me, so I just ran and ended up jumping off a ledge and losing all my shit. Taught his ass a lesson. Anyway, how do you aim your shots with ranged weapons?

Bugger it, I just ordered it on Amazon. It should be there by the time i get back from my little trip thing. So it's something to look forward to when i get back.

Apparently the Elite Cleric set has more black than the regular. Interesting stuff.

That [sp]escape death[/sp] miracle has no faith requirement I'd have thought something that powerful would have a high requirement. Or am I missing something here?

I'm guessing they ditched that Miracle just because, if you had it then Ring of Sacrifice's would be made redundant if it was something you could use every time you do anything.

Whatever that means.[/QUOTE] Could also mean they had the miracle in the game for a short while without setting a faith requirement for it, but then took it off after they realized how dumb it would be. There's a bunch of voice lines that aren't used in the game, too. Like Shiva lusting for the Chaos Blade and something else which I'm forgetting.

There is a glitch that allows you to cast for example sorcery with talismans. Its quite likely that was used. A much better use for the glitch is taking a catalyst one does not meet the requirements for and then casting power within. This way there is almost no health drain. Upon further investigation he seems to just be using velka's talisman and is probably holding the TCC to confuse the enemy.
