Still says 4 hours for me.
Where are you, out of curiosity? I'm in Pennsylvania and it just went up to 12 hours. (Ugh.)

UK.
Seems like they've matched up the time-zones so it's coming out in everyone's local midnight.
That's a bit shit to be honest, but just get a vpn. I did it with sleeping dogs and my account is fine.
I COULD HAVE HAD THE GAME AT 7 UGH WTF.
Yea I need a free VPN I can connect to real quick in a few hours...

meh it's just a night's difference
bit annoying anyways since we were a few hours from release and suddenly -- delay! but still.
So I'm curious as to why From said they couldn't fix the resolution, yet a guy does it in 23 minutes before the game even launches.

I think its hard to believe that From could be so lazy. Maybe it wasn't done because it causes problems later in the game? The guy said he is encountering a few problems already (He is fixing them pretty fast though) or maybe they really are that lazy and are bad with ports. :v:

He apparently spent a good deal of time preparing the tools he would need and so on before actually implementing them, which took 23 minutes.
That said, it shows that it can be done, and so it seems like pure lazyness on From's part.

That res fix needs to be released and then From need to make it an official patch right a way. I'm not usually to bothered by graphics but that's pretty disgusting.
What's the filesize for it? I'm thinking about buying it in a minute.
4GB or so
How are you guys preloading? I got my key from GMG and activated it but I can't preload. From sweden btw.

Restart Steam. It works now
I'm going to be anal hurting a lot if I don't get my retail copy in mail tomorrow.
Slowly convincing my friends to buy this game so I can slaughter them

You'll be more focused on the giant hammers smashing you into a pulp than graphics. It won't look even half as bad in motion.
I don't get what the fuss is about the graphics anyways. It looks just as good/better than it did on consoles.
Only thing that really bothers me about this port is GFWL. I'm hoping I don't run into any problems, but I have been fucked over by GFWL in the past...
So according to SystemRequirements Lab, I can't run this game even at minimum settings.
Dual HD Radeon 5670s
Intel Quad Core i7 Processor 2.67 GHz (Can be overclocked to 3.something)
12gb RAM
I would assume that I shouldn't trust SysReqLab this time, eh?
I love games like these. I've had my eye on this since I heard about the PC release coming out. I have been paying attention to the news that has cropped up and I understand this is their first time porting something and they admit there will be some faults. Judging from that posted video though, it doesn't look like the fps is being locked at 30 like they said it was gonna be which is good. Or am I missing something?
Regardless I have heard from countless people this game is awesome and I really don't know what to expect aside from the fact it's a hardcore type of game which happen to be my favorite. Also I'm sure a mod will come out to kill GFWL quickly, as it's been done on quite a lot of PC GFWL titles. I guess what I'm trying to say is I'll definitely get this game if the port is at least playable, I'm just skeptical since this is their first attempt.

It is, but it's honestly not that noticeable unless you're one of these people who cry about 30fps giving them headaches, aka, whining because they can.

The game is great, if you enjoy hardcore games you'll love this, it won't hold your hand. But don't expect a GFWL patch because there's no point to it. The game uses GFWL for it's networking so removing it will completely remove the online experience which is a large part of Dark Souls. The port will be playable, even with the port issues, because it's still the superior version out of PC, Xbox and PS3, and MANY people enjoyed the game on consoles.
I don't have work till 10:30AM tomorrow, I can quite happily stay up and play this at midnight for a little bit :)

I have class and lab at 10 but being in the culinary career I'm used to sleep deprivation.
Also DWGR got nerfed to 25%.
