Dark Souls (PC/PS3/360)v2 - Prepare to Die edition. - Games

I bought an adapter off of Ebay for $3 that let me hook up one of my old PS2 controllers to my computer, then I just used the method in my previous post. Best purchase I ever made.

Just past those pesky archers. How do we get into the new areas?

I never played the first game. I never played this game on the consoles. I download Dark Souls and get that resolution fix all ready to go. I install the mod and hop in with my 360 controller plugged in. Due to the resolution fix, I can't read any of the orange floor text stuff. I have no idea what my controls are. I have no idea what warnings of danger there are from other players. Even still, I somehow got to the part near the start where the [sp]giant crow takes you to a new area.[/sp] I then made the mistake of [sp]attacking the guy that's right near the bonfire... I only got rid of him after he fell off a cliff.[/sp] I still have no idea what I'm doing but damn if I'm not enjoying it (for the most part).

Some people are saying turning up all the settings in nvidia control panel will make the game run smoother. Wouldn't that make everything crawl even slower?

Oh that's a bit worrying, if the game has trouble reading your save data, it gives you the option to overwrite it with a new one. The dialog for this starts with ok selected. I think I'll make a backup now.

I really want to download that that res fix but I really don't want the text to be fucked up

Configuring the controls for a PS3 controller is a bitch.

Managed to do through to the taurus demon and defeat it then defeat the first black knight and I haven't died yet, now beneath the bridge with the dragon on it. Curious to see how long I last before my first death :v:

Oh boy, oh boy. Doing a blind playthrough as a Bandit, so far having an absolute blast running around the Burg fastrolling, cutting fools up with my axe, and getting killed by the Black Knight/that asshole with the dragon tooth club. I don't think I've ever been this engrossed in just running one area of a game over and over.

Wow what the fuck, I was able to play Dark Souls smoothly before and now all of a sudden, my FPS starts crawling to hell

Alright just got home, time to see how the game works on PC.

It seems like the lower undead burg is the best place to grind for sun medals right now, I keep getting summoned right away. It's pretty satisfying too, helping people get past a hard boss.

Taurus demon knocks me off the edge killing me then commits suicide by jumping off the same edge. VICTORY ACHIEVED.

So because of the fix messing up the messages, how do you do a downward attack? The Taurus demon is kicking my ass and it might help. And yeah, Undead burg is the best place simply because everyone just got the game and don't know what they're doing.

Running off the ledge helps so you don't fall straight down. It takes some practice to get the timing right.

My internet is shit, I want to play this already but I'm only getting short bursts of speed while downloading, it sucks.
