Sigh, games $70 in Australia too, that's fantastic, is there a demo or something I can play before i buy to make sure the PC port isn't awful and I can actually play it
yes apparently can fix the AA issues by forcing graphics options in the control panel, not sure on res.

It's called camera speed under options.

Considering the average PS3 game, this is pretty cheap. Only advice I could give is watch some game play videos, and test the game on systemrequirementslab.

Seriously?
Wait what, where did Lautrec go?
His cell is unopenable and it's empty?
I'm probably the only one who doesn't have issues with they kb/m, I just use WASD+surrounding few keys and numpad for the camera and the rest of the buttons like attacking :v:

did you beat the gargoyles before freeing him, if so then he will be at the firelink shrine
Oh right forgot something as basic as that :v:

It's $40 on GamersGate so I recommend getting it from there.
Bad. This is not a game meant for keyboards.
Actually last night I completely adjusted to my keyboard setup and rang the first bell using only my keyboard and mouse.
You can easily do it.
Poise is confusing me a bit. Is it worth getting a little bit of poise (like 8-20) or useless unless I get a ton?
This is so purty on 3840x2160...

Hmm, it seems as though they changed how enemy respawning works slightly, before if you left an area everything you killed would stay dead if you didn't use a bonfire. They respawn now.
I can't really complain too much, since I got this at a discount on GreenManGaming for only $20
But I do agree with everyone.. I was disappointed by the controls
I know the devs officially said they'd be doing no optimization for PC but I thought the LEAST they could do was change the menu so it doesn't have the xbox control buttons
Needless to say, it's still a fun (but frustrating) game, I just hope sooner or later we get an unofficial patch that fixes the framerate and texture issues.
This game would look fantastic with High-Res textures and in 1080p :P
I don't understand complaining about the controls.
would you complain about the keyboard controls for the PC version of Street Fighter 4?
or the fact you basically have to use a pad?
My only complaint is that camera, jesus christ you even twitch and it flies a full 360
So where to access new areas

v0.3 is out, now has an F9 toggle that hides the mouse

How about read the thread because even before the game was out the textures have been fixed...
[sp]Ash lake, after you kill the Hydra[/sp]
Spoiler tagged for good measure.

Eh, maybe. I've toyed with it briefly but the bottom line is gamepads are infinitely preferable.
Still having a "Use your right analog stick to move." hint in a PC game is a sign of very lazy port.
Uh you pick that as lazy control design when the ENTIRE control context menus are set as the Xbox controller?
All these fucking bloodstains
People sure do suck at this game
You know that bit with the channeler and like 10 hollows in undead parish? I saw 4 blood stains on top of each other :v:
Honestly they really should put a warning on the steam page that a controller is highly reccomended for this game.

I'm sad to say I managed to die to that guy once. Totally forgot that his melee attacks are actually kind of potent, so I killed the hollows, charged over, and he just smacked me with his trident. :(

Anyways I've been wasting time helping people beat the Gargoyles since I'm really not in the mood to fight the Capra Demon. Every time I hear the bell ring after I help someone, it makes me smile inside.
Yo, dying is how to learn in this game. My first playthrough and I died to almost everything there is. Now I know how to avoid that BECAUSE I died. So yeah.

Been wasting time slaying slimes to get a good practice of the Balder Side Sword moveset. It's fucking fantastic.

It's okay if you don't have one. If you just lower the sensitivity on the camera, reconfigure some of the buttons, it's fine. I'm halfway through Blighttown and I only used keyboard and mouse.

Assassin's Creed 2 was the same though, but you got used to it.
How would I go about getting my Dualshock 3 to work with this?
