Fuck you, Capra Demon
You know who else I hate? Havel. One lucky shot from that bastard and you're dead...
Anyways, is there a guide for what SL is recommended for each area? On the Xbox, I didn't have Live so I never worried about having an SL in which I could find summons, but I'm being more cautious this time around... I'm about to fight the Gaping Dragon and my SL is 15.

I think you may be a little low...
Not like it matters much unless you really want to fight him with someone though considering how easy the gaping dragon is.
Can someone please tell me how to do a jump attack on the pc?

My God...
You do realize many different genres were made with different controllers in mind right?
FPS: Mouse and Keyboard
Driving: Steering Wheel controller
Fighting: Arcade Stick
games like Dark Souls: gamepad
get over it, you must play a very limited selection of PC games if you only go keyboard mouse
Well, I have absolutely no idea where to go now. About 4 1/2 hours in, rang the Undead Parish bell, and I'm trying to get past the god damn reviving skeletons in the cave past the cemetery, but I'm not having much luck. The best I can do is just run past and try to deal with them and that Charon type dude by the bonfire, but I've not been able to get it lit yet.
Having a fucking blast, though. So glad this came to PC.
I was kind of hoping they'd just let you waltz into the new content and not have you play through half of the game so you could go to this totally new place and then get absolutely demolished. :v:

Did you get the Basement Key? I believe it's on the steps leading into the church in Undead Parish. Once you get that key, go back to the bridge where that giant Drake was... there's a door at the start of the bridge that's locked, but can be opened with the Basement Key.
It leads to Lower Undead Burg, which should be your next stop.
Two hours in, I can now understand the previous complaints of keyboard/mouse controls. My only real issue is the batshit crazyness of lock on if you use a mouse. It's terrible.
Just +4 spear raped the golems with some pine resin.
Death count: 23
Edit: Also, still using unupgraded pyromancer gear. I'm pretty sure I should have stumbled across some slightly better gear by now, I am so squishy.
It'd be cool if Dark Souls had a thing like Demons' where when you finish the game, you get to see a bunch of statistics for that character including death count and equipment used end game.

Isn't the chainmail you can buy from the undead merchant better?
I remember I ended up using that for a while on my pyromancer.

It's just extremely sensitive, can be a bit frustrating ye.

Yeah, there's also the Elite Knight set which you can acquire (and probably only be able to wear a few pieces of) pretty early in the game as treasure.

I've found it before, but can you refresh my memory on how to get it early on? I always get lost in the forest :v:

If you just follow the path before you can open the shortcut you'll come across the stone knight clearing. It's the treasure in there. It's pretty heavily guarded, so be careful.

The Havel shortcut?
That fucking Channeler near the gargoyles killed me twice now. Extra shame as it's hardly the first time I play DS.
First time he called his zombies, and one must have fallen down because he came up behind me, staggering me and allowing the others to murder me from the front. Second time he jumped down and when I jumped after I pulled the three knights that are under there.

The trick I do is to kill the tower knight, then kill the channeler with arrows. If you stand next to the pillar right he can't hit you but you can hit him. Once you kill him he won't come back.
The Havel shortcut?
No, like the path after the bonfire and the Artorias tomb gate. The way towards the moonlight butterfly.

Yulia's dead now.
(So good at a normal texture resolution!)

Tried invading a world as my deprived boar man. got shafted :D
Got the Elite Knight Armor. Now to get Havel's Ring so I can actually wear it. :v:

Nah, I'm going up there and I will fuck him up in melee. I got quite far into NG+ on the PS3, I'll be damned if I can't manage to kill that pushover.

Also, you guys know that feel when you have a Firekeeper's Soul in your hand, know what it is and how it works, still press X, then sit there thinking "What the fuck did I just do?", all without moving a single facial muscle? Yeah fuck you too brain.
Havel just squished me :(
might use the glitch spot to get the ring :/
Sanctuary guardian.. jesus fuck how do i what
theres no room to attack
WHY
Yay, finally got the large club again. My mace was getting pretty underpowered. Just for fun, I've been doing a no dex build, leaving dex at its minimum value, 8. It basically reduced my weapon choices to just that mace. It should probably be fine from now on though.

Go naked and backstab him.

I swear that fight is one of the most tense in the game for me. I can take Ornstein and Smough, I can kill the Taurus Demon without blinking, but Havel is like a massive adrenaline rush.
I can't beat that one bastard in Undead Burg. The gigantic he-man thing in nice armor.
Alright I'm probably missing something stupid but is there any way to get rid of the borders? Like even with the resolution patch on and the game set to fullscreen and my native resolution there are still these big black widescreen-like borders on the top and bottom of my screen. Launching the game in forced fullscreen mode from the mod ini doesn't seem to work properly either (Flickering video, etc.).
