DSFix 0.4 released: [url]http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?p=114[/url] Fixes the ugly as shit depth of field! Edit: Wow. Such an improvement, again. I love this guy.

Running the latest DSFix with the DoF at 1080, my rendering is at 2560x1440. Blighttown is weird and I think it's an engine issue because other than that place, I'm locked at 30fps. Blight town was laggy as fuck on consoles too. It's just really unoptimized which doesn't help saying you see so far in blight town.

I honestly really want to like this game but the port isn't making it easy. I'm thinking about grabbing a gamepad because the PC controls are proving difficult to get used to. Ugh.

Since pieclocks and my internet hates eachother, anyone else wanna help me defeat artorias around level 60? :v:

What's a good level for the new DLC? I'l SL125 right now, but I have to wait till it's out on consoles

I know it boosts curse resistance and if you look it up you can find what else it helps with. 2. It allows you to summon other people for help. Whether they're NPC's like Solaire or just some friendly player who put down his summon sign, you can only access these other players if you're human. 3. Some weapons scale with it. The one that comes to mind immediately is Quelaag's Furysword, but there are a few others. 4. It boosts item rate discovery. Keep in mind that this only applies up to 10 humanity, but it's good to know if you're trying to farm certain items from enemies. 5. It allows you to invade other players. If you want to take out the anger this guy caused on some other (probably innocent) player, all you have to do is become human, use a cracked red eye orb, and get ready to ruin somebody's day.

Nah

that's the one bit in the game I'd call unfair. the only hint you get the first time is the oil on the ground but who looks at that stuff. also that the dragon just heals is stupid as heck. demons souls had some good dragons

The part I consider most unfair is the infamous [sp]Anor Londo archers[/sp]. In general though, neither Souls game is unfair as a rule they seem to stick to.

I just beat the moonlight butterfly and I need a new weapon, the katana isnt really doing it for me right now, do I just upgrade it or do you guys know any better weapons that are fairly easy to get?

I just had a fight the gods. I had Artorias down to half his hp, and at that point I was all out of estus flasks. I fight with full hp, but get hit a few times to the point where 1 hit would have killed me. I continued fighting and got this far without being hit: [img]http://goo.gl/p8k3R[/img] It's amazing how much better you perform when it all goes to shit. (image was chopped so no spoilers)

Getting the Dark Wood Grain Ring without killing Shiva is a pain in the ass... thinking I might just kill Shiva now. I like to keep him alive in case I want to buy more Uchigatanas, but I want that DWGR.

If so, it's no where near a bad weapon. If you're having problems with it then your build is wrong. Keep on the normal upgrade path (don't go making it lightning or anything) and keep putting points into dex and it'll be great. It's what I'm playing with and is by far my favorite weapon in the game.

I killed him in my first go. Granted I was level 55 or so and I had a +5 black knight halberd but he did not seem that bad.

Solo'd Artorias there now. I am feeling immense pleasure. I almost puss'd out and got help too but I'm so glad I didn't.

Since my build sucks, I'm going to make a new char focusing on the katana at the beginning atleast ,what class should I start with, wanderer or thief or?
