Dark Souls (PC/PS3/360)v2 - Prepare to Die edition. - Games

Gaping dragon was so easy, I thought it was going to be a tough fight by the looks of it, but I didn't get hit once :v:

So what's this game's current state on PC then? Is it really a badly optimized port or have they fixed it now or what? Been wanting to get this but then I heard about all the port issues and thought i'll wait. I do have a contoller and i'm not too bothering between using that or mouse but I'm just wondering how the game runs/resolution issues textures etc.

Buy it if it looks like you'll enjoy it, because you likely will. Between that patch and having a controller, you'll probably have 0 problems with this port.

Bearing in mind I have not read the past 10 or so pages of this thread[/QUOTE] It's an unofficial "patch", basically extract it to dark souls folder and open the ini file and set what 3D resolution you want (can be higher than your monitors resolution, example: my monitor is 1680x1050 and 3D res is 3940x2160) and other options.

It doesn't scale with anything and it becomes pretty useless pretty quickly. I don't know what class you are or what you're focusing on, but I can almost guarantee that whatever it is will end up better than the Drake Sword.

It's not a hard patch, you just drop 2 files into the games directory - it doesn't even replace anything either and it works really, really well. It's been updated 4 times since release already, and more is coming so I wouldn't worry about that.

I almost took a heart attack. I loaded up my game to find this: [img]http://goo.gl/8gMMr[/img] I kept pushing cancel, but it wouldn't work, I thought my save was corrupted. (Thankfully it wasn't) Make sure you pay attention when you're loading up the game, because if that appears, OK is selected by default and your save will be gone. Where are saves located? I'm backing this shit up before I do anything else.

That and I'm trying to figure out the optimum armor set to hit at least 55 poise and still have under 25% burden for faster rolls.

So, I got Dark Souls running last night just fine and stuff, but when I load it up to play it today, the frame rate drops to absolute unplayable shit. Anyone know why? It was running just fine last night.

invaded someone, killed them, as soon as i left i got invaded and died... now i cant seem to find anymore worlds to pillage

Is Green Man Gaming a trustworthy site to buy this game? And a friend of mine said that the resolution fix prevents online play, is that true?
