Seriously, fuck the channeler in the church
I got him to somehow fall off the ledge down, but his minions still gang-raped me
Use a thrust based weapon and kill the minions with your shield up.
Claymore thrust works wonderfully for me in that tight corridor.
Couldn't kill Moonlight Butterfly with melee/fireball only so I went back to that shop guy in Undead Burg and bought like 70 firebombs. :v:
Worked very nicely.

I just wait for it to land and charge up its explosion attack and just beat the crap out of it. I've never needed ranged weapons to beat it.

Don't be fooled by those stats. Even though they're in the 90's, they're not significantly better than level 50 stats.
Even still, I'd take him on.

Really, it's the soul level that gets me, he's invading people who just started.
Why do people hate sens fortress? It's not that bad of a level.

It is the first time through. I probably fell for every trap on my first run.

It was my first time through just now, but I was walking throughout the whole thing. I saw the axe pendulum things at the beginning and knew it was a trap-ridden level so nothing really caught me off guard. The boss is annoying though, hardly do any damage against him.

Run over to him as soon as the battle starts, and then bash his legs. Don't use lock-on, by the way. He'll fall over and you'll have a huge period of time to beat him up. If you position him right, he might even fall off the tower, resulting in an instant win.
Also, when I find myself dealing little damage, I usually just switch to using Pyromancy. Pyromancy is easy, cheap damage that anyone can use.
That archer bit on Anor Lando wasn't bad at all, for me. It's probably more difficult with a ranged/sorcerer build, but me with my BKS+4 just sprinted up the ledges, attacked and kicked them down one and then the other, and that was it.
Now Smough and Ornstein are brutally raping me, but I'm getting better.

I died 10 times in a row to those guys on my first go, fuck those guys.
Just got this, going through the prison is easy, i don't expect it too stay like this.
oh fuck, i nearly died if it wasn't for that note or something that was on the floor telling me to "run away"

You mean the area you first start out in?
Yeah, that's the tutorial area. Just wait until you get to the real game.
It'd not like it becomes impossibly hard so don't sweat the difficulty too much.
On a side note, I've decided to go use a quality build because versatility.

Is the Claymore worth investing in? I just worry about the lack of speed compared to say, a broadsword or something.

I'd say have one hard hitting weapon and one quick thrust weapon like a rapier or a pike.
Wow, Nito is such a joke if you have a divine weapon to kill his minions. I even had time to switch back to my main weapon mid fight. I can't believe I never tried that before.
Can anyone give any tips on killing the gargoyles, I'm fine dodging/blocking their attacks, but the fire fucks me over pretty hard
My method was to jump to the left of the one that shoots fire. It just sits there spitting so you can get free hits off. The other one probably won't hit you in this time period. Rinse and repeat till it dies. I used a halberd for this.

They both shoot fire, though, usually at the same time for me and they make a wall so I can't get behind them, maybe i just need to manage my space a bit better
I've been playing on the PC for a while and I just can't seem to kick. I'm using my PS3 controller running DS3 tool. Does it have anything to do with weapons or anything, I looked up on how to kick but when I try to he just attacks normally.

When I fought them pretty much only one gargoyle used fire at a time. It was rare to see both using fire. Try running across the roof once in a while.

Tap forward and light attack at the same time to kick. Heavy attack to do a jump attack.
I really wish more people would summon. Co-op through a level is a ton of fun and I love the extra souls you get when you kill a boss.
I've never had more fun dying in a game.
Any of you guys just around starting level? I'm going to get this tomorrow, could try some coop.

More people would summon if they were not busy getting killed by assholes with hacked characters.
