Recently joined the Darkwraiths and I was hunting people in The Painted World of Ariarmis and I'm on a win streak. Does anyone have tips other than nit running away and not healing?
Fight dirty. You don't need to follow any honor code, you're invading peoples worlds with the sole purpose to fuck their shit up, so do so. Use anything you can to gain the upper hand.
sup

I've played over 200 hours of Dark Souls but never once played a magic character, which I want play now. What do you guys recommend for a weapon?
The summons are coming in real slow for Game 1 Capra Demon, atm.
I just wanna help some bros and honour the great Solaire ;_;

When you're talking about cutting off the dragon's tail do you mean the large dragon above the bridge to Parish?
If so, what's the best way to cut off his tail without getting buttraped
many thanks
P.S: hail brolaire

He didn't seem too hard, just dodge his first attack and block your way up the stairs, then kill his dogs and jump on his head.
Granted I have a massive claymore and managed to kill him in just a few hits after doing a jump attack, I'm not sure how it is for others.

Apparently if you get under the bridge and fire arrows at his tail (just where it hangs down) you'll break it off after like, 30 arrows and get the sword

For my character I used a scimitar until I got the Shotel then I upgraded that to Quelaag's Fury Sword

Oh yeah, I'm looking to help because I want 10 sunlight medals for the great lightning spear. He's a very simple boss really, just intimidating to newbs. If you have a shield with even half way decent stability, you can tank him all day.
Not to mention that if you walk up the stairs and let him follow you and then jump off he has a very slow animation for getting back up. This effectively allows for infinite free hits.
If you can live for the first three seconds of the boss battle then you have won the battle.
That Fire sage demon is tearing my shit up like nobody's business, any tips on him?

Don't lock on, keep yourself loose so you can quickly sprint away from it's attacks, and not get fucked by by quick perspective changes.
As long as you are behind him he can do only two attacks.
His spell which deals magic damage in a large radius infront of him and slightly behind him and he can fly in the air and turn around.
He will dodge back every now and then so you are forced to face his front but it doesn't take too long to get behind him again.
Out of all the enemies I kill, why is it I can always count on rats to give me humanity? I just find it odd that's all.
Having a real tough time making the game run on a consistent 30 frames without it looking blurry and pixel. I think i might leave it alone until later. But i dont want to feel like i wasted money on around 16 hour so pissing around with settings and testing and a headache.

Pretty much, maybe extend that to if you've killed his dogs, you've won.
Sometimes they leap mouth first into your swings, the next time they'll go and jump out of the way. It's a bit awkward, but not terrible.
Once Capra is 1v1 you definitely shouldn't have any hassle whatsoever.

You got the resolution patch? The one that makes it not blurry and pixelated?
You got the resolution patch? The one that makes it not blurry and pixelated?
Yes, the main problem is that the game is stuck at 15 FPS unless i turn down the internal rendering using DSfix, which puts it at 30 frames around 80% of the time. But that's when it gets pretty pixelated.
So when I failed to kill lautrec ~15 times, I decided to throw a couple of dung pies at him and try to do a death from above attacks. That helped (not the dung pies, they didn't have an effect.)

You did read tne note about if you're locked at 15FPS, right? Check here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=488240

About having a 120Hz monitor? I dont have one of those. By "locked" FPS do you mean that it normally just stays at 15 FPS regardless of where i am? It goes up a little in some places for a second or so.

Quality walkthrough section really helped me out
So seriously, I've been hearing a ton of mixed opinions about this game. Worst console port in history, etc.
Tell it to me straight.

The port is awful, resolution is locked to 720p, FPS is locked to 30 and the kb+m controls are terrible. They didn't even change any of the button prompts.
And even then this game is fucking amazing and you should buy it.

With the Dark Souls fix, it's a fine port with the only really shitty thing being is that it's pretty much unplayable without a controller.
If you have a gamepad then it's a decent port. It runs fine, the 30FPS cap is easy to get used it.
I just got to the dlc area a few hours ago, it's surprisngly awesome

You really can persevere though, it's really not that bad if you get used to it.
