Where do you get the key to open the door stuck in the house in the lower undead burg?
Yesterday, I learned that Skull Lanterns make Tomb of the Giants a LOT easier. Too bad I've completed that area twice before I became aware of this. First time I decided to see what it actually does was when I was at the bonfire before the cliffside leading to skeleton babies. I was like "OHH! I was supposed to use this thing here! Well FUCK." :v:
men use the sunlight maggot real men run through ToG with no light at all
Most the NPC's are nice, even Lautrec says he considered you a friend when you invade his world. Best NPC's are Knight Solaire Dusk of Oolacille And The Pyrobro who gives your first pyromancer flame.
I've died 9 times now against the guy with the mace which kills in 1 hit, The drake sword seems pretty good against him but I always mess up one roll and get hit! It's more frustrating because the only thing I want to do is get back in-game and try it again :L

I roll too fast, he compensates his swing to hit me at the end of my roll lol
I roll too fast, he compensates his swing to hit me at the end of my roll lol
Stay out of his range until he's emptied his stamina with mace-rape combos
I roll too fast, he compensates his swing to hit me at the end of my roll lol
Heh, you'll have fun if you ever try New Game+. There's a little surprise with the mace-rapist. There's TWO of them. Caught me by surprise, and the other one looks like a summoned phantom and appears to withstand a lot more beating (not sure about the damage, I seemed to be able to block both equally).
That's a good joke Sgt, ha ha ha ..
Summary of the last few pages: People meet first blacksmith in game, and one of the nicest characters > kill him mercilessly > surprised when they discover that this was a shitty idea
I thought that he could only make shitty raw weapons and i didnt wanna farm 40k to get forest hunters crest
Also, is the guy sitting next to the bonfire in Firelink any good? I instantly killed him the first time I played, because I wanted his delicious humanity. Now that I let him live, he only complains and enjoys being a sarcastic cunt.
He gets bitchier and bitchier and then dies in New Londo Ruins
Backstabbed the shit out of the mace guy, beat him finally, ran into the next area to see 3 even larger more intimidating guys. This game!
I think I want to cry. I went all the way through blighttown starting from valley of drakes to the other end to come to a door that says "Does not open from this side." Now I got to go all the way back through that shit. :suicide:

Because the only thing more intimidating than the mace-rapist in Undead Burg that I can think of is Belfry Gargoyles.
Darkroot basin I think, I saw 3 big ice/statue looking guys so I instantly walked back the way I came, how bad are they?
They're easy enough. Really slow so you can easily out maneuver them. [editline]22nd February 2012[/editline] Watch out for the Hydra shooting water at you while you kill those things, because that'll fuck you up. Try lead them back a bit.

Also, if you have a key to the tower that's on the same area, well, let's just say be quite ready when you open the door and enter. :v:

You can go from VoD to Quelaag in about 45 seconds, thereby skipping all of Blighttown entirely.

For some reason I've never had much trouble with blighttown. Not to say that it was smooth sailing but I had much more trouble getting through the burg and parish for the first time for some reason.

Okay so I started up a new character for the 9th time now. This time, I had a build planned out. I went to Giant Bomb's Dark Souls forums and asked how my build looks; got positive/neutral responses to it. My build was to get enough to use the Silver Knight Straight Sword and I was going to go with Elite Knight Armor and generally have enough endurance to wear it light (or just use Havel's Ring). And then this amazing guy shows up, adds me on PSN, gives me a +5 SKSS and a full set of Elite Knight Armor with upgrades ranging from +5 to +9. And a Silver Knight Shield too. Like fuck, I don't even know what to say. My build is completed at the early level of 31, and now all I have to do is get better so I don't end up dying so much; so far so good.

But that's just me. Elite Knight Armor isn't hard to get, but you'd probably have to farm silver knights for a while to get the sword.

Honestly, to me, I don't feel like it's a big deal. In invasion, I'm more onto par with people instead of being ridiculously under powered and weak. In PvE, it doesn't feel any different. I do more damage and have more defense, but I can still get my shit wrecked easily because it's happened twice in Darkwood Garden.
You mean Havel? I think that was the "mace dude" he was referring to earlier. :v:
Ohh, I thought he meant the tower-knight guarding the Firekeeper Soul. :v:
