Dark Souls (PC/PS3/360)v2 - Prepare to Die edition.

Thinking about buying Dark Souls on PC, I'm still confused about the whole Invading thing, can anyone explain to me in details? Will I just run around and suddenly get one hit killed by a backstab by some random thief? (Atleast it's all I saw in this one "PVP" video.)
I'm also curious about all the different weapon classes, how do they all perform? From videos I saw it seems that everyone's using some sort of dagger.
You can only be invaded well Human, if you die well human you become hollow and can no longer be invaded, or summon people.
When someone invades you a warning will pop up on the screen.

Is there a way to become human again once you go hollow? I might have to buy this game, 90% of these terms doesn't ring a bell since I don't know shit about the game.

You get an item called humanity, there are various ways to get it, you use the "Reverse Hollowing" option at a bonfire
Bonfires are the games checkpoints
Which weapon class is the underdog? I'm always interested in the underdog for some reason.

Whips. Completely worthless except for roleplaying Simon Belmont.

Had some fun PVPing in Dickstab Forest yesterday.
Got invaded by two gankers in full Havel's, both with Quelaag's Furysword. Seriously, they had the exact same gear. The first guy hit me with a fireball while I was bowing, so that got me a little pissed. They the second guy showed up and proceeded to backstab fish me while I was fighting the first guy (and winning). So I died.
I came back (because I have loadsahumanity) a couple of minutes later and the first Havel shows up by himself. Payback time! I introduced him to my Balder Side Sword +10 and laughed as he tried to fatroll away. He even tried to run away and kite the NPC hunters to me, but I'd already killed them :v:
That felt good.

Then I lost 25k humanity because Sif is a cheap motherfucker.

How's the Sanctuary Guardian's whip though? Still useless?

Ouch, so it's not a case of the underdog just being harder to master or needing something else to make it good but it's just actually worthless? Any other weapon class that's relatively unused compared to all the other ones?

Dunno, haven't gotten that far yet. (Heading through the Tomb of Giants right now.)
But the problem with whips is their moveset. Unless the Sanctuary Guardian's tail has an entirely different moveset, I can't imagine it's that great.

I'm not sure, really. Almost all the weapons in this game are feasible if you're good with them. (Except whips and fist weapons like spiked gloves.) I don't think daggers are super popular because of their short reach, but they're not terrible.

25000 humanity? i thought it would cap at 99
I invaded someone once in havels with 2 greatshields so i could deflect em all
Just lost 70000 souls because my Transient Curse ran out in the middle of fighting a ghost.
:suicide:
Which weapon class is the underdog? I'm always interested in the underdog for some reason.
I would say use the halberd class weapons.
They have good range and good damage however if you get punished with slower attacks if you miss.

Oops, meant souls.
Shields don't really mean much when you're that slow. I could literally outrun both dudes and deal while they clanked and wheezed their fat asses over to me.
Artorias is so hard what the hell. I can't get one hit in without him taking half my health away.
After trying all day to invade, I successfully invade once and it's unplayably laggy. Fuck GFWL.
Does anyone have any weapon's I should be aiming for later in the game?
I'm playing a warrior/faith build, and prefer quicker combat with a 1H wep and shield
Right now I have a +2 Pickaxe, and I like the moveset a lot
Any other more powerful weapons you guys can suggest?
Preferably something with a swift moveset so i can stunlock enemies
So I bought the game from a TILT store today...
"The key is invalid or already in use."
I tried to take the game back "no refunds of any kind!" and I already tried contacting steam, told me to contact the store. Well, this sucks.

Aren't they forced to refund you if the product you were sold won't work?

Yupp, but apparently the guys working there are completely retarded.
"It's opened and it has a code... Hum... You cannot return this!"
Seriously, I fought with them for well over an hour and they just told security to come and get me out.
Take it higher
Talk to the Manager
Take it higher
With the little money I have left I'd rather just buy the game again in a few months.
Talk to the Manager
I did and he was the one who sent the security to come and walk me out because I was being "aggressive" :v:
Edit: But this is getting a bit off-topic so... Uh... Yeah.
About to face the capra demon.
I hope it's not as bad as everyone's making it out to be :suicide:
Make sure to get rid of the dogs instantly, so you don't start to bounce around and end up slaughtered.
About to face the capra demon.

Go through fog, shield up, dodge capra, run up stairs, kill dogs, plunge attack capra from platform to the right of the top of the stairs.

Once the dogs are dead he's easy. Run up the stairs and jump down, as the Capra demon lands hit him with a heavy attack. Repeat until he's dead.
level 30 thief in the depths after 2 days, not bad I suppose.
Fuck complaining about Blighttown and Sen's Fortress, the two archers alone in Anor Londo are harder than those areas combined.
I get right up to one of them and he still shoots me with his tank shell sized arrow and knocks me off.
