Dark Souls (PC/PS3/360)v2 - Prepare to Die edition. - Games

I went through all of Anor Londo without noticing any archers. Where are these archers you guys keep talking about?

The new DSfix patch doesn't play nice with my mouse lock on fix :/

Since we were discussing it earlier, I just went to the DLC area and got the new whip from the Sanctuary Guardian. Moveset still sucks, but it does look pretty cool... He's obviously resistant to lightning, so if you use a lightning weapon usually, I'd switch. I wasn't having a lot of luck with Quelaag's Furysword either, but my Uchigatana ate it alive. I was reading the wikidot about the DLC PvP area, and apparently one of the tiers is levels 1-50. So I toyed with the idea of making a level 50 build and seeing what I could do with it. Killed the Tower Knight. Still haven't died yet. Decided to kill the boss in 4-1 so I could get to the guy that sells Darkmoonstone so I can upgrade my weapon. Spawn into the world, kill the first monster and a Black Phantom invades me. It wasn't a terribly hard fight, but I managed to kill him. I quickly left that place. Now I'm afraid to go back...

this is fucking silly, I'm in anor londo and the fucking second I become human I get *ASSHOLE HAS INVADED*, like literally 3 seconds after, I'm still in the bonfire room. Then when I try to summon sombody, it fails, every time without fail. and the rare time it works, we both get killed by an invader, how the hell do I disconnect from GFWL just so I can kill this boss

Well I died once. Was trying to kill a Reaper to get a Darkmoonstone and I ended up getting hit by this weird phantom thing's laser beam.

You could also beat O&S while hollow solaire is pretty useless anyway.

I'm never short on humanity, you can farm it so easily from the rats in the depths with the CGSR.

I decided to stop trying to dodge and parry, just two handed the furysword, put on Havel's armour and went head to head with him (with Havel's armour 90% of his attack don't interrupt you anyway, like when drinking from the flasks). I can get him down to 1/4th like that, but the furysword won't output enough damage. Time to try another weapon. Bought the game, having lots of fun with GFWL. Installation process went fine otherwise, but it can't authenticate the game. Seems like my version is GFWL is too old. Okay, I launch the GFW client. It says it's too old and I need to download an update. Sure. When I try to install the update it gives me a GetLastError 5. Nothing fucking works.

A bog standard crystal halberd absolutely wrecked the Sanctuary Guardian.

It tells me to download an update and then close the game. It downloads the update ingame and then I close it, but the installation does not continue like it's supposed to.

Has anybody managed to successfully rip the models and textures from the game? I know some people at the Xentax forums managed to do it, but I've got no clue how to use all the custom extractors and shit they've all got.

What is your current weapon and movement speed? You could try going light and dodging more attacks instead of blocking. The moment you kill ornstein the battle is pretty much won.

So is Artorias weak to anything? He's not that hard, but I do what, 40 damage with my Furysword? I can dodge his attacks and survive long enough, but obviously if the battle takes 30 minutes I am going to run out of Estus/fuck up.

Hitting him with a stick seems to be effective enough. Just +15 a dex weapon

I'd say go for good old claymore and a shield with high stability, or light load and dodge all their attacks. I feel a bit cheaty, I just wondered what was past the Queen's lair and I came upon the demon ruins or whatever it was called. I equiped my homeward bone and decided to do a little searching and after a long, weary walk I found the giant demon. I slowly walked past him and saw loot so I quickly looted it, saw a health-bar for a boss appear so I boned my way back to a bonfire :v: Long story short, I don't think I should have this yet [img]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/938127448254279126/570D5CA58311C57972C0A5F4E6839C98C35BD35C/[/img] It's incredibly good fire resistance and all the other stats are good for such light armour. Going to improve it :)

The boss that appeared can also be killed by any character by using the environment so you could also have had 20k souls so it could have been worse. Just a note you cannot upgrade this set of armor. If you just have more flasks you can probably beat O&S.
