The 2 hand alt of that weapon really works well with the damn narrow paths Sen's fortress is riddled with.
Also, P3 ost, nice.
Maybe its just me but that build looks godawful.
If you have strong magic shield on people will just dodge for 30 seconds.
Mask of the mother only gives 5% more hp now and you could be using the crown of dusk.
Also this is a matter of preference but the sunlight straight sword has the same power but IMO a better moveset.
Where is the key to that locked door just before the fight with the taurus demon?

Most people use the master key however you get the key to go there after killing the moonlight butterfly which can be found in darkroot garden. Darkroot garden is just past the blacksmith in the undead parish.
However chances are if you didn't know that you should pretty much always pick the masterkey as your starting gift that you do not want to be in that tower right now.
I want to stream some of my gameplay to my friends. Anyone has suggestions what program should I use?

Oh, sorry. It was my mistake then. Too focused on answering one person.
Hey guys whats harder then killing the sanctuary garden using only a whip?
Trying to cut its tail of with a whip god dammit.
I did it in two tries but still that took me 15 minutes.

In an arena with 3 other people I doubt all of them will be dodging you for 30 seconds (hell, I welcome it), it helps when you have no poise and shit stamina. It was mostly a placeholder for some other spell but I could see it working. I decided to use the mask of the mother because even with the 5% it will still bring HP past 1000. I didn't use a crown of dusk because that, with a bellowing ring on with crystal spells is pretty overkill for levels 50 and below, I figured. I haven't thought of using the ASS, but I might try it. I was probably gonna go for a handaxe next because I've had great experience breaking shield guards with minimal stamina, and it weighs less.
Am I right to liken this game to Monster Hunter? The genre reminds me of Monster Hunter so bad, everything about it.

I had forgotten to take in to account that the battles would be in an arena.
Either way I think enemies wearing xanthous set could survive a spear or partial soulmass so I would say the crown of dusk is still worth it.
Handaxe is quite decent although there is a little opening if you miss so its a bit risky in a 4 man arena.

I do, probably why I enjoy the Gaping Dragon and similar fights as much as I do.
Woo! Just beat NG+ Ornstein and Smough solo. Normally I summon someone, but I guess there just aren't enough people on NG+ yet.

It only checks your SL, not your NG count.

Generally it's harder to find people to summon on NG+ because people usually stop leveling after NG for PvP or just stop playing after their first playthrough etc.

Yeah, that's what I meant, you'd have to grind pretty hard to be around 105 when fighting them for the first time.
What SL should I stop at
Artorias is such an asshole, sometimes his attacks just home in in a weird way the last second making them impossible to dodge if you don't do some amazing ass ninja flip 0.000001 seconds before the attack hits you.
What SL should I stop at
On the consoles, the accepted PvP SL was 120 or 125. You won't reach that in one playthrough unless you grind like a fiend, though.
Here, have some giant's ass.

You're supposed to hit him after he finishes a combo or a move that takes long to recover from, so he won't get the opportunity to hit you at all.

His attacks are pretty easy to dodge, except for the one where he flips around and jumps back if you stand directly behind him.

I remember my first elder dragon fight, took me 3 rounds to take it down, had 2 minutes remaining in the third round so it took me about 148 minutes to finish him.
Does Dark Souls have any awesome fights like that?
Oh dear, turns out the PC audio is borked.

Nothing in Dark Souls will have the length of some of the Monster Hunter fights, though boss fights can get really drawn out in NG+ runs.
I'm really excited to fight this though: (DLC boss spoilers)
Lets be honest, this boss fight feels like your playing monster hunter huh?

Speaking of Monster Hunter, I keep getting the controls mixed up with this whenever I switch over. It's not exactly fun attacking when I want to roll.
And yeah the bosses do feel MH-ish because you can cut their tails off and because I don't use lock on for them.

Lol oh lord, this fight DOES feel like Monster Hunter.
So does this mean if I'm good at Monster Hunter that Dark Souls won't kick my ass as much?
Mostly the games play differently but some skills could transfer over I suppose
And I now realize why isn't there a MH Megathread?

Yeah the transition should be very smooth. The only basic things that would take getting used to coming from Monster Hunter are equip/character build setups and you'll want to get hit less.
Ok I plan on going a dexterity PvP build after I beat the game on my first guy.
Does anyone know any pretty solid dexterity PvP builds?
Also for weapons, what weapon can I get early on that I should keep and upgrade throughout the game as Dexterity heavy? Not looking for drake sword, I want something I can upgrade to be a beast.
Same goes for armor.
What SL should I stop at in NG if I want to be PvP heavy, and same goes for NG+
What shit should I also do early on to strictly focus on PvP?

I've been meaning to make one, sadly it seems any time one pops up it dies shortly after. Usually in a hail of complaints about the size of the weapons.
If anyone is using a fire or lightning (chaos too) weapon in prepare to die, could you do me a solid and tell me how much damage it does so I can compare it to what it does in 1.05? Apparently elemental weapons were nerfed, but I'm not sure how much.
Let me know what level the weapon is as well, please.
Can anyone help me out here?
Can anyone help me out here?
I'd like to know this too, being a lightning claymore build.

Info on the nerf in that link.
I just beat kalameet with a whip in one try.
Funny how practice makes you better.
