Wow, the Four Kings were... easy. I didn't even do anything special, I just ran up to them and starting wailing on them, only attack that really did damage was the grab.
ok so seriously fucking invasions how do they work i've only managed to invade three people. one was laggy as fuck, one was cheating, and one was actually a reasonable fight. (i ended up invading that third guy three times, lost twice and tied once.) [editline]3rd September 2012[/editline] where do i invade people as a blade of the darkmoon i mean you think anor londo would be a hotspot but nope i've tried undead burg, undead parish, sen's fortress, the royal woods, darkroot forest, the tomb of giants, etc etc "failed to invade" forward your fucking ports people, GFWL tells me NAT is open on my end so it's not my fault at least
I'm gettin' this shit too. There were tons of action on the PS3 but none here. I guess it's because people are only around level 50-60 so far, at least as far as I could tell from the book of sinners... give it a few weeks and people will start getting levels
How do you get past the big dragon before artorias? He can kill you in one hit no matter what.
Talk to Gough, the key to his tower is pretty well hidden in Oolacile township. There are some stairs leading down to a big roomful of enemies, you'll know it when you see it. There are some stairs going up to the right of the bottom of those stairs. Follow the path and you'll eventually come to a place where you can see a chest and an enemy walking around, the jump is pretty easy. The chest is a mimic with the key. Gough's tower is up the stairs to the left of the door leading out of Artorias' room.
Tomb of the giants sucks ass.
If you're having problems with the four kings, and don't mind being a little "cheap", just get Havel's armor and use that. Speed and rolling won't really be a problem, and all their hits deal way less damage. Just 2h a strong weapon and wail away.
I accidentally stumbled into Darkroot Basin, It is not a happy place.
Just got a message from a guy that invaded me. I killed him and he immediately sent "Fucking scrub gold hemmed faggot". Is the gold hemmed set cheap or something?
God damnit, I hate being invaded. Just minding my own business in Undead Burg until I get invaded and one hit killed by a crossbow from the guy that invaded me, is there no balance when you get invaded? Being invaded by dudes that can one hit kill you is pretty boring.
Well I just killed Old King Allant on my first try in Demon's Souls. I remember him being a lot harder. Then again, being a mage in this game is super easy.

Not like you were fighting a huge dragon, you were fighting a man that was desperately trying to cling onto his life, maybe I'm imagining things, but even his fighting style seemed super aggressive and desperate [/sp]
Im at 11 vitality, 11 endurance, , I do have pyro ascended to +1. But the second I get close those asshole kings just destroy me in one hit. I think I fucked up on my build and the only way I would take them down is if I just try and level normally and grind for better gear and more levels.
I managed to do it using a soul level 1 pyromancer which only had starter gear. I'm not even that good so its well in the realms of reality to beat that damn boss. Go light weight and just roll. I would advise getting some green blossoms and using great fireballs to dish out as much damage as possible. If you can keep it to one king for a large portion of the match you will be better of then having to face two all the time.
I really expected Ms. Spider tits, I mean Quelaag to be a bitch of a fight. But I found out that if you [sp]face hug her and hack away when she is swinging at you, she misses. Perfect time to strike. She'll still hit some times, and it mostly worked in the center of the boss arena.[/sp] In all it took me 3 solo tries to down her. Hell, the first time I got her near dead before I fucked up.
Is there a fix for killing ingward and not getting the key yet? Want to kill him for it since I am having WAY to much trouble in anor londo at sl 60 thief. Dying no matter what at those 2 imps that ambush you before going up the ramp for the 2 snipers.
i thought the key only didn't drop in ng+?
I think I may have just made the Number 1 spot in the Hall of Fame in Demon's Souls for Uniter of the World. Edit: And it was just taken by someone who is level 200 and something.
Man, Seath is an asshole. And so is whoever made the crystals curse you.
FUCK BLIGHT TOWN
FUCK BLIGHT TOWN
Doesn't the back entrance just skip pretty much all of blight town
Doesn't the back entrance just skip pretty much all of blight town
If you have the Master's Key, you can go down to New Londo Ruins, through that door just at the bottom of the stairs, into the Valley of Drakes, and right into Blighttown at the shortcut. The shortcut will put you right next to the bonfire, and you're in walking distance to Quelaag's Domain. If you don't have the Master's Key, the only way to get it is by buying it from Domhall of Zena, but only after he moves under the bridge near Firelink Shrine, and he'll only move to that spot after you reach Anor Londo.
In the DLC, especially Oolacile, what is with the little invisible bags that keep dropping from enemies? I can't pick them up. edit : what the heck? Live won't let me connect now...
I remember my terrible first playthrough for this game, I played as the Deprived, instantly attacked the dude by the bonfire, only to get killed a billion times before finally getting him to run off a cliff, then proceeded to go aimlessly down into ghost hell. Good times.
GFWL just stopped letting me connect...
Really, Why can Hydra's fly. Ash lake scared me shitless, the damn Hydra came out of fucking nowhere. Never going back there, I got my Dragon head, that's all I wanted.
GFWL just stopped letting me connect...
Oh good. I thought I got hacked or something. It won't let me connect to GFWL or XBL.
Me neither, thank god I thought my account fucked all up.
Holy shit, for the first time ever I've gotten Siegmeyer's big gate open. Time to go check out Sen's Fortress I gue-
So I shouldnt be using stone armor?
well if you want to tank it, then yeah, stone armor or havels armor or any sort of heavy armor would work. you could also wear the wolf ring, or use iron flesh or something. personally though i wear <25% armor all the time, though, because i find not getting hit is usually a better strategy than tanking
Besides faster speed is much more satisfying and fun to play, I dislike tanking. It usually takes out a lot of depth and strategy. My first character was a tank, it was okay but it makes bosses somewhat to easy. A friend of mine is a pure tank and is totally overleveled, the game is no fun that way.
I'm edging out of light armour and into the assorted knight sets now that I've arrived in Anor Londo (and have Havel's Ring). Getting hit seems inevitable and I'm still learning the moves used by the new enemies, whose attacks I'd like a chance of surviving long enough to learn from, in as few fights as possible. Speaking of Anor Londo, how hard is it to leave the Painted World once you're inside? Haven't gone in yet, but can I just use a Homeward Bone to warp out if it proves to be too much?
