How is a faith+dex build? I really want to try it my next play through. Or how is faith+Int+Dex? and what should I know about them.
Depends entirely on what weapon you're going to use, certain weapons will scale differently to faith/strenght/dexterity/intelligence.
I'm looking at the wiki and noticed a good amount of the smaller weapons you would consider for strength also scale in dex. It made me think that Raw upgrades would fit in perfectly if it added more scaling to strength and removed the ability to be buffed.
You can get through the whole of the catacombs in like 10 seconds with a shortcut anyway. :v:
yeah i hated the catacombs so much until i found that shortcut, because i kept dying as soon as i entered the tomb of giants. which meant i kept having to go through the wheel skeletons. fuck wheel skeletons. most annoying enemies in the game.
-sneep problem solved-

However if there are multiple of them and you are a no poise wizard then you might as well just darksign.
I might be missing something here, but what's with everyone building to apparently arbitrary level limits? Is it something to do with what kind of opponents you get paired up against? I'm not putting much thought into levelling aside from what my next skill upgrade should be, I'm SL69 now and just placed the Lordvessel.
On consoles, people just agreed upon 120 or 125 as the ideal PvP level limit, which kept online PvP reasonably balanced. With the addition of the arena people have been making SL100 builds as the arena goes in 50-level tiers or so, so it's like people from SL1-50 get matched together, and then SL51-100 then SL101-150. I think 120's still going to be the optimal number, though, since it lets you build up Vit, End, and then usually two other stats as well. (Some combination of Dex, Str, Fth, and Int.)
Apparently Anor Londo ran out of sinners since I can't invade anyone anymore after the first 15 minutes.
I've done the Depths and Blighttown. Should I do Sen's Fortress or New Londo Ruins next?
I've done the Depths and Blighttown. Should I do Sen's Fortress or New Londo Ruins next?
Definitely Sen's Fortress.
I've done the Depths and Blighttown. Should I do Sen's Fortress or New Londo Ruins next?
Sen's Funhouse. There isn't much to do in New Londo, other than nab the normal +15 ember and Fire Keeper Soul, and to fight Four Kings (which you can't reach at this point anyway, unless you kill an NPC)
Sen's Funhouse.
You can join the Chaos Servants covenant if you kill them before placing the lordvessel, so that's useful
Chaos Servants, really? I think you mean Darkwraiths.
Apparently Anor Londo ran out of sinners since I can't invade anyone anymore after the first 15 minutes.
i can't invade anyone ever i'm thinking i'm just gonna go kill gwyndolin since all i really want is a buff for my sword. sunlight blade might not be as good as darkmoon blade but since i can't seem to ever invade anyone, i don't think i'm getting darkmoon blade any time soon.
i can't invade anyone ever
Having the same problem most of the time, sometimes it's fine though. It's also the reason I'm trying to get to SL 100 so I can start playing in the new arena properly.
How is a faith+dex build? I really want to try it my next play through. Or how is faith+Int+Dex? and what should I know about them.
Darkmoon blade + Ricard's Rapier riposte is a guaranteed 1HKO with your full build.
Darkmoon blade + Ricard's Rapier riposte is a guaranteed 1HKO with your full build.
Normal rapier +15 and Darkmoon Blade could be better though, I don't know if Ricard's A scaling in dex makes up for Rapier's higher base damage and critical modifier.
Normal rapier +15 and Darkmoon Blade could be better though, I don't know if Ricard's A scaling in dex makes up for Rapier's higher base damage and critical modifier.
Yeah, the normal rapier exceeds just about every weapon there is for backstabs and probably ripostes, even over the bandit knife, surprisingly. Something to do with hidden effects that rapiers (possibly thrusting attacks in general) get.

[editline]5th September 2012[/editline] the estoc i think isn't AS good but it has some really great reach to it which makes it useful for PVE too if you're just looking to hold up your shield and poke away until your target drops dead.

Well that's depressing. Solaire's sun has set. I shall carry on the search brother.

Quelagg is so hard. But then again that might because I'm cursed and I have 13 VIT (also poisoned cause swamp is a terrible place), On a side note, she would be pretty cute without that whole I'm-going-to-kill-you thing going on.

My condolences.
I tried to play this game using a Xbox 360 controller and I kept on pressing X to attack instead my dude did a weird dance This game is amazing Edit: I can't even get past the first boss This is amazing
Few guys above me talking about rapiers and shit, so I thought I should add something that's fun; Rapier +15, Darkmoon Blade +3, Hornet Ring. Now go riposte something. You're welcome! Now that I think about it, I wonder if the Leo Ring counts for rapiers too and not only spears. Time to experiment.

My main character has 66 dex and I have a Rapier +15 and I have those two rings, so I'm off to test this stuff out right now. Just gotta fetch my Xbox.
i can't stop playing this game helpppp
