Even with that big old ever-popular performance fix, I'm still getting constant 15 fps. The game is completely unplayable like this because even though it is still possible to run the game, the controls are so laggy given my framerate that I wouldn't even want to. System spec recommendations should mean that you can run the game properly if you are past them, From! I find it so weird that there are people out there having no problems at all, and then people like me who can't even run the damn thing.
Wait, so what have you actually tried?
Do you have a 120Hz screen, or is this another problem?

I started a series, I'll be doing every boss after gargoyles from now on. The goyles were really easy but better than starting at Capra or Taurus I guess.

What a convenient page king

Re-uploaded with better quality.
I always thought that people were exaggerating when they said that Pinwheel could barely be classified as a boss.
Jesus fuck he was a joke, I almost felt bad for getting loot from him. I managed to make it through the catacombs and then kill him without dying once.
Got invaded for the first time.
Good thing my friend's spell is retardedly powerful.

What level should I be for getting summons for Quelaag? I'm level 28 at the bonfire before her, not a sign around... or any messages, which is a bit worrying.

I've tried the performance fix, the disable-secondary-monitors fix, and absolute highest AND lowest settings give me the same performance. It just doesn't like me, I guess.
Ugh, I'm doing a Cleric run through, just got my Sunbryios Lightning Bolts does a nice amount of damage but my weapon just isn't good enough. I have the starting weapons+1 (Mace I think).
Any good miracle for someone with 30 faith? that I can get before Sens

I've talked to a few people who have the fps issues and all of them had amd processors. I don't know if it was just coincidence or if the game is just not optimized at all for them.
I finally got my PS3 copy in the mail and have been playing it for the entire evening. I just placed the lordvessel, I haven't decided when I'm going to make my dragonslayer bow invasion character yet though.
i remember when i first placed the lord vessal i did it by accident because i accidentally fell down his hole ran up to the bonfire and got stuck inside of it with no homeward bones left lol
and then frampt would no longer let me sell... :(
Welp, I finally gave in and bought this game.
My brother got it for Xbox and was on the verge of tears trying to kill one boss or some shit.
What can I expect?

Expect the game to be difficult but it's never cheap. You'll mostly be dying from mistakes that you quickly learn from.

Yeah something similar happened to me. I was talking to a friend while I initiated that conversation with Frampt that makes him eat you. I heard nothing about that conversation and then tuned in right as he started growling. I was like "Dis dude is gon eat me." so I instinctively rolled forward into the pit to dodge instant death.

Probably not that, unless you're autistic.
I need some help with a build. I just killed the bell gargyoles, and am level 24. Pretty new, ran a knight because I heard they are easier for new players. I currently have:
Vitality 15
Attunement 10
End 18
Str 17
Dex 13
Res 11
Int 9
Faith 12
What should I build this into? It seems that builds are important, but I just leveled up what seemed useful. Also, is there a way to sell items to shopkeepers?
For your first run builds aren't really important, but with that you should probably put like 3-5 in dex, 10+ in strength and pour the rest to vitality and endurance if you want to be a heavy knight.

Also making a semi serious but mostly fun oriented PvP Artorias build. What miracles/spells/pyromancies should I use?
So I got past Taurus demon, boar, and the two dark knights and I'm at the smith.
Am I doing okay? :v:

You're about halfway through the tutorial.

Don't worry about builds in your first playthrough, just level up what you want. It's generally agreed that upgrading Resistance is useless, though. You can't "sell" items, but eventually you unlock an NPC that you can feed items in exchange for souls.

For the record, DSfix isn't a performance fix, it's a graphical upgrade. If anything it'll make the game run worse.
All righty, thanks for the tips.
Though I don't usually notice a difference between vanilla and DSfix performance.'
break my automerge why don't you
Oh yeah and I looted a Black knight greatsword, I heard they were good
Ironically, the only boss I fear to encounter is Pinwheel. Not cause he's hard or anything, he has just NEVER been alive for long enough to actually let me learn his pattern, so I fear that one day I'll encounter him and be unable to simply outdamage him like normal, being completely clueless as for how his pattern and moves are and just get butt decimated :<
Wow, just got done fighting the Gargoyles. How does anyone actually consider them difficult?
I didn't find them difficult, just a lot of fun. Most of the bosses are actually extremely simple as long as you don't panic.
Oh yeah and I looted a Black knight greatsword, I heard they were good
I like the black knight sword more.
[editline]7th September 2012[/editline]
Also fuck trying to kill the stray demon as a sorcerer. Gonna have to come back when I get Quelaag's sword or something... or better spells.
Aww yeah, finally got my Demon's Spear and Bloodshield.
I'll be stopping at SL125 for PVP, I just don't know what armor in particular I'll be getting and what rings I'll be using though.
I'll be 40 endurance, 50 vitality, 40 dexterity and 40 strenght.
I beat Capra Demon on my first try, am I cool yet
