My new challenge run is not so challenging as I assumed, although I am still quite early in the game. I decided not to level up at all, I picked the knight and it is relavtivly easy. Because I can still upgrade and such. Perhaps I am going to restart as a pyromancer because he starts at SL1 with even lower stats. Perhaps I am also going to keep the starting gear for the entire game. That would make it a lot more interesting. Although I am afraid of the 4 Kings.
PM me when you get to the 4 kings, im SL 11 pyro and im stuck at them, I even have furysword +4 and I still cant kill them.
Does using any of the pine resins remove the stat scaling on your weapon while it's buffed? I thought Four Kings was easier when I used charcoal pine resin on my BSS than when I used Quelaag's Furysword.
Began playing Dark Souls on Steam and I have a very annoying problem, every 5 - 10 minutes, the game wil freeze for something like 10 seconds, I tried everything I could to stop it, I disabled AA and MotionBlur, putted DarkSouls and the save folder in the antivirus's exceptions, forced V-Sync and Triple Buffering off, maked DATA.exe launched by adming, and tried to remove DSFix, but nothing works... Anyone has the same problem ?
I was fighting some skelingtons in the firelink graveyard. One of them got lucky and parried me. Right before he hit me with the animation, I fell through the ground to my death. Makes me think that that was Scorpion fighting me. Sending me to hell with his fatality,

ok being honest despite playing some 80-odd hours of dark souls on xbox i never played online since i didn't have Live. PvP is pissing me off because it's always a lag fest. not even backstabs or anything it's just every time i'm being invaded or something my opponent seems to phase in and out of existence and i hit him over and over (complete with the the "gore" sound) and they never take damage.

I just helped my first players fight off invaders and bosses It feels good
I think I'm a bit overleveled, I just killed the Taurus Demon in one hit
It's worse when someone invades your world, then you run around eachother waiting for someone to make a mistake then they just pull out a catalyst and LOL DARK BEADS INSTAKILL all my rage
I spent a couple of hours today sniping people with the dragonslayer bow in anor londo, mostly at the painting guardian rafters and silver knight archers. It's pretty fun. I'm ready to make a true PvP character though, think I'm going to cap it at 100 so I can fight at the Battle of Stoicism with it too, when it comes out.
Man, I got invaded three times while going to Sif. First guy was pretty nice though. He waited for me to finish killing the giant cats, then we went back to the open part of the forest. He even gave me a blue titanite chunk before we started fighting. Second guy I never saw, he left after like a mnute. Third guy... stood on the hill and stared at me while I was trying to summon someone for Sif.
I've only been invaded once, the guy had all really super advanced gear and all I had was the starting gear for pyromancer and just one shot me instantly. Yeah good job buddy you're real pro.

It's the reason why not too many people put signs down with the intention to fight Sif there; the signs at the crest door are typically people who want to be summoned so they can gank forest invaders. I'm actually surprised you weren't just killed.
AHH I need help here guys D: I just beat the Giant Rat in the Depths, and went down that small tunnel to exit his room. I fell down a fucking waterfall in the tunnel though, and ended up in a tiny room with some frog thing It proceeded to curse me, then insta-kill me.. Now i'm stuck back at the Depths bonfire, cursed, half health, and all my shit gone. What do I do?? Can I easily get back down there to snag back my crap? Then how can I uncurse myself? Seriously, I used to think this game was unforgiving. Now I fucking KNOW it is

Once I defeated Sif I helped this one guy twice, he said he got invaded and killed while coming back after the first try. At least I know where to go if I want some PvP.

You can purchase a Purging Stone from her for 6000 souls. It'll break the curse, allowing you to regain all your health and become Human again. You can use a homeward bone if you want to return back to the bonfire at the Depths. But you would have probably already killed everything on your way to the Female Undead Merchant, so it would be best to walk and save your homeward bone. After that, when you make it back to the room where the giant rat was, if you stay on the far left, hugging the wall, and go down where the waterfall is, you'll be able to skip the frogs and head straight to the boss, as well as open a shortcut back to the bonfire. From this area, you can go down some stairs and that will lead you to the frogs and your lost souls/humanity. I'll warn you now though, if you go through that area where the frogs are as a Human, you'll more than likely be invaded by a Red Phantom NPC named Kirk.

I ended up going back to the Merchant & returning to the rat room via the shortcut in the butchers room Unfortunately I fell down ANOTHER hole to the frog area, but somehow miraculously fought my way through and ended up in the large room past the waterfall you're talking about. Opened shortcut to bonfire, now I feel successful :) *EDIT* Pageking? better throw in a shitty screenshot
I just killed Nito on my first try. Kinda underwhelming, his design is awesome. He's probably the easiest of the lords. Bed of Chaos is also "easy", but the fight is such bullshit.
Fuck you gaping dragon. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Iy9Ji.jpg[/img_thumb] Also, I hate to say this but [SUB]why does solaire kinda suck so much.. [/SUB]I love the shit out of him <3 but seriously, I had him summoned along with another player, and he died about 2 minutes into the fight. Is it just that he isn't good at close combat or what? I was being sure to heal often as well ah well, we beat gaping in the end.
NPC Phantoms won't be healed by your flasks, so that's something to think about. They're mostly used as distractions, letting you get hits in. But yeah, sometimes NPC Phantoms can be pretty retarded.
I gotta say I sure do love the user base for this game, I manage to survive a backstab from the humanity I have, sprint like fuck away from the invader, chug estus like it's liquid happiness, turn the tide of a fight, and kill the invader, then I'm immediately spammed with threat messages about how the whole thing is on fraps, and how I'm a hacker, and how my account is going to be banned. I wonder why the hell it was never like this when I played it on ps3, on ps3 if I did something like that, or something like that happened to me, it usually ended in an exchange of pm's complimenting one another on the fight. Also, anyone know where the channelers shit is? I picked it up somewhere in the dukes archives on my ps3 run, but I've been dicking around there for the past hour and can't find squat.

I found the PC userbase to be really great so far. Twice i've had friendly phantoms send me PM's thanking me for the help Maybe you just ran into an asshat.
Nearly every invader or summoner has always messaged me after a boss or a duel saying "gg was fun" or "thanks for the help". This is by far the friendliest community I've ever seen.
Really? Because I always end up going against some jacked-up assholes who kill me in one hit. Except for today, one guy ended up at the bottom of Blighttown's swamp, was poisoned, and didn't realize I was all the way back up. He eventually just gave up and left. Anyway, how do I use that Black Eye Orb? It's always dark for me and I wanna get that bitch back in her cage so I can reinforce my flasks.

I put my controller down and went to take a piss - I'm in Anor Londo. Came back, sat down, accidentally clicked. Even though I was facing the opposite direction I somehow swung my Zweihander in a complete 360 (no, not really) to hit Solaire. I tried to run, he died to a Black Knight. Now I'm fucked for Smough and Ornstein. Time to abandon this run. Goodbye SLVL 64, I hardly knew ye.
why the fuck are there skeleton babies in a room full of pinwheels (at least i think thats what they are) what am i supposed to do
Read the skeleton babies a bedtime story so they can have skeleton baby naps.
