How do I perform the kick and the jump attack?

For kick you press the left stick forward and press RB at the same time.
Jump attack is the same but with RT.
The important part being that you need to tap them at the same time, everybody I know struggles because they try to do it while running.
For the kick forward and RB(light attack). Do note you cannot kick with some weapons for example the scimitar.
What is the key to use spells on PC?

Equip talisman or catalyst and attack.

Thanks.
I only managed to pull it off one time and then I kicked the bucket (literally, I did not die).
Honestly, and I know people are gonna shit all over me for this, but that entire boss fight is cheap as fuck and not fun at all. AT ALL. It makes me wanna just snap the disk in half and never play the damn game again. I've been stuck on the fight since the games original release, yeah, haven't even beat the game once. Fuck that boss fight. I've done every other boss solo, but that one for me is so far impossible.
Like nearly every single other boss fight is one-on-one and then they throw this one in where you fight two dudes at the same time whose attacks can take off most of your HP with one hit. Add in the fact that they always stand so close to each other that when you go to attack one guy the other one tears your ass off.
IMO it would have been better, if easier, if one dude attacked you while the other guy sat on the sidelines watching and then when the dude you're fighting dies he gets all pissed off and hulks up.
Well, you are right in some parts. I thought the same back when I got into the game, somehow now I find it not as hard as it used to. There are many valid tactics to kill them, it is at times fucking hard because sometimes there moves are simply being spammed, leaving me with no chance whatsoever.
The thing is that you have to attract one of them behind a pillar, leaving the other one behind. Afterwards when one died it becomes a lot easier, except for Ornstein, he is kind of tough. But you just have to stay between his legs, most of his moves do not even touch you then. Facing one enemy is always easier in Dark Souls than two.
The last three times I faced them I killed them on the first try, perhaps I am just that used to the game. Played it tons of times. O&S are really easy when you play as a mage, spamming the homing soul stuff and arrows.
Is it worth buying Domnhall's armor set before Gaping Dragon? I've been using the default Thief's set with the Spider Shield and Drake Sword.

I'll let you figure it out.
i got invaded in royal woods so i jumped off the cliffs instead of being humiliated otherwise

I wish it you didn't have to press them at the exact same time. I can do the strong attack + forward fine but I can never kick.
Me and my friend decided to do a playthrough as level 20 twinks. It's pretty fun.
At one point we managed to trade an Obsidian Greatsword from my level 106 account to my lvl 20, so I feel like the twinkest twink ever :v:
Anyhow, the obsidian greatsword is great! Does 480 damage when upgraded to +5, doesn't scale with anything, and has somewhat low requirements. Aka the perfect twink weapon. :D
I also have an armor set (of varied pieces) that gives me around 220 defence, and still lets me fastroll. Using Havels ring and FaP ring.
I do have a lightning Zweihander +5 laying around too, but I've not used that in PvP cause I'm a cool guy.
Anyhow, funniest invasion yet:
I invaded some guy who hadn't even killed the channeler in undead parish, so I had assumed he was new to the game and at his first playthrough.
I at first couldn't find him, but eventually heard the sound of magic missiles being fired at NPCs, and the damage helped me locate him.
He had lost a lot of health actually, so his next move was to run away from the NPCs and heal. So he did. Except when he went around the next corner and started the healing animation, I was there :v:
Okay, appears this guy is on new game plus. He has mask of the mother, and a terrible amount of health. I manage to get 4 hits in on him, but that wasn't enough to kill him. He started running away from me. I followed, and managed to get in a backstab that dealt about 900 damage. He still lived, damn this guy has a shit ton of health.
"Enough", I decided.
I switched to two-handing the Obsidian Greatsword.
I pressed R2.
Explosion.
Victory.
Just a note you can buff the obsidian greatsword.
The R2 is pretty telegraphed though so only use it against cornered enemies.

Cornered enemies, or enemies recovering from something like a backstab.
Also, can I buff it normally just like that? Sounds a bit crazy.
[editline]o[/editline]
Holy shit, even the AoE explosion attack gets buffed :v:

Gaping Dragon is usually a pretty easy boss fight and most of his attacks will take off a good deal of health regardless of what armor you're wearing. If you can make it to him in the armor you're wearing, I wouldn't worry too much about the boss fight itself.
On another note, this is probably the last boss you're going to want to use the Drake Sword for. It really starts to suffer after Gaping Dragon and Blighttown, so I would find another weapon that suits your stats real soon. It sounds like you're going with a Dex build, so I would recommend a rapier or maybe a scimitar. Feel free to check the wiki for a weapon that fits your stats, but you'll be thankful you made the switch later on.

Yeah, I realised how much the armour cost and ditched that idea, summoned Solaire which in the end felt like a bit of a waste, I didn't realise how open the arena was going to be.
I've got a Balder Side Sword +4 in my box at the moment, as well as non-upgraded Rapier and Scimitar. It's my first playthrough, so my stats just evolve into what I require at the time. Dex is 25 at the moment, put my Vit and End to 14 and my Strength at 16. I've got 50,000 souls after that fight so I'm pretty comfy if I find some weapon or armour that I want to use. :v: Haven't entered Blighttown as I saw on a wiki I had missed a lot of stuff at Firelink Shrine (The graveyard stuff), might start using the Winged Spear.
Wow get knocked down by smoughs charge attack, he then does it again killing me during the standing up animation fuck this cheap boss.
Would have tried again but a naked infinite health invader killed me at the royal sentinels. I don't understand why you guys keep praising the community, this game is full of assholes.
Do the DLC content before killing him.
Dem tears.
Where do I go to access the dlc content? I can't find a hint or anything anywhere.

There is a golem at the start of the Duke's Archives, kill it, take the pendant it drops then go to the spot you find the golden golem behind the hydra.

it was an easy fight once you know what to do
kill smough fast stand under super ornsteins legs
Holy god damn shit. I FINALLY fucking beat Barnum & Bailey. After nearly a year, I can finally continue on with the game!
Killing Ornstein first made the second half much easier. I still feel the fight has some things about it that make it beyond frustrating. Like how Ornstein can stab you with his spear through Smough and how the range on their weapons seems larger than the actual weapon.

Thanks, also, is the fight with Artorias epic? Or is it just like the fight with Havel.
Thanks, also, is the fight with Artorias epic? Or is it just like the fight with Havel.
How do you compare an actual boss fight to an enemy that uses exactly 2 different moves to 1-shot you?
[editline]9th September 2012[/editline]
Of course the Artorias fight is better.
Thanks, also, is the fight with Artorias epic? Or is it just like the fight with Havel.
The fight with Artorias will make you cry tears of blood.
I beat the drake, fuck yeah. I kept dying even when I ran into the water because NOPE 9 PROJECTILES THAT SLPASH.
Hey, I killed that fucking hydra thing. Is there supposed to be anything around that lake other than the knight set and the ladder? I walked around that big ass cave and found nothing.
Hey, I killed that fucking hydra thing. Is there supposed to be anything around that lake other than the knight set and the ladder? I walked around that big ass cave and found nothing.
The entrance to the prepare to die area is there,
it's also where you save dusk

I would advise upgrading the balderside sword first if you are going to use the spear. The spear only gets B scaling at +15 while the BSS gets A scaling. No harm in using both of them if you have the spare titanite though.

You need to refresh the area after you kill the hydra if you want the golden crystal golem that has oolacile to appear. You can refresh the area by moving between areas, quitting and of course you can always just kill yourself.
If you want to access the DLC go to the dukes archive kill the new golem and then go back to where the golden golem was in darkroot.

Just wait for the one that can fucking fly
Oh man, I hate the open progression a little bit because I don't want to miss out on parts of the games because I just had no clue I had to go there and stuff.
What progression do you guys suggest? So far my progression has been undead burg > undead parish > lower undead burg > blighttown > quelaag's domain > demon's ruins (Up to the locked door because I didn't have Lordvessel) > Northern undead asylum revisit > Sen's Fortress > Painted world/Anor Londo and now I'm back in Firelink Shrine.
I've killed the Hydra in Darkroot Basin/Garden but I feel like I've rushed through it too fast, did I miss anything there?
