there is a caster at the start of duke's archives. when his health gets low enough he teleports. he fucking teleports away AND HE CAN DO THIS IMMEDIATELY AFTER I HIT HIM AND I CAN'T HURT HIM AT ALL WHILE HE'S DOING IT
just wait until he dances or does some attack with a long animation, don't hit him before that

50 points for Gryffindor!
Man fuck twinks. They ruin PVP for everyone else. I'm not about to spend hours chaining gear down between characters to get it to a low level character just to keep up. The forest hunter covenant is impossible to be a part of because everyone you invade is a twink that ganks all the spawn points.
I'm a twink, though a somewhat fair one!
I will not even pull out my sword unless the other person also is a twink. (some exceptions)
Also, I was invading people in Undead Parish for a while, and I eventually met some guy that just had started playing this game. I was the first invasion he had experienced.
... and he didn't realize I was a bad guy :v:
He just kinda waved at me to follow him, and didn't show any intent of attacking me or anything.
So I sort of just followed him through the map, not revealing that I was unable to kill the enemies.
Then we finally reached the fog gate before the Gargoyle Demons, and I, as a Darkwraith, just had to end him.
I sent him a PM though, telling him that people glowing red aren't his friends :v:
He responded:

Try explaining that again...

oh god what the fuck are you doing carrying so many souls around
So, uh, I can't use Motionjoys DS3 tool if their website is down? It just says "This program can't display the web page" or such (finnish language) and won't let me do anything.
What kind of bullshit design is that? I can't play Dark Souls now, goddammit.

There's like, no bonfires in blighttown except at the end, I assume he died near the middle
There's like, no bonfires in blighttown except at the end, I assume he died near the middle
There are 2, one at the top and one at the bottom. The middle part isn't very big, not 200k souls big anyway.

I agree, but if you're careless and in a hurry to get your souls back I could imagine falling off, being poisoned, cursed, crushed or whatever else.
i like to carry around alot of souls just to show off, and feel big dicked
I just found a demon spear, is it worth using over the lightning spear due to it's range? Or should I just stick with the lightning spear
The Demon's Spear is considered to be one of the top tier spears along with the Silver Knight's Spear, the Pike and Dragonslayer's Spear. Moonlight Butterfly Horn can also be considered a top spear but it's magical damage so you have to do some sort of INT build making it all weird and shit but still a very solid spear nonetheless.
I'm personally stopping at SL 120-125 for the PVP and I'm using the Demon's Spear with Bloodshield and when statted right it's really good, Demon's Spear has a huge reach, I think it's the longest weapon in the game or the second longest or something like that.
Demon's Spear also has lightning damage to it and the requirements to use it are extremely minimal ontop of being very very light making you able to use more armor without having to waste a ring slot with Havel's Ring.
The Downside to Demon's Spear is the strong attack, in both 1h and 2h, it's a long delayed lunge thrust and there's no way to hit anyone with it in PVP because it's so telegraphed unless you're a master tactician and get people stuck in small corridors all day.

I have 370,000 souls on me right now at SL57, I'm scared as hell to lose it because I've been saving it up to upgrade all my gear, though from the looks of it, upgrading isn't very expensive and so I might just use all these Souls to level up.
Okay, here's my current stats

can someone give me some advice as to what the fuck i'm doing?
i'm trying to get my faith to 20 for sunlight spear, but other than that idk what to put points towards
I originally wanted kind of a quick dex build with light armor/weapons but now i'm not sure if I messed up my stats too much
Actually quite workable. Not ideal, but it won't be useless.
If you get your strength to 27 you'll be able to get the most out of 2 handed strength weapons, and do pretty good damage with one handed attacks as well. I'd stop leveling Int, but at least with 16 you'll be able to use oolacile spells like repair or cast light.
Vit and endurance are also really important, you should level them up.
[editline]e[/editline]
Oh and if you get your faith to 30, you can use weapon buffs like Sunlight Blade or Darkmoon Blade, which are really powerful and would complement your +15 weapons.
wow, pinwheel, was not expecting it to be so uh, brief :v:
Also, I've really progressed today, beat ornstein and smough and then pinwheel after (wasn't much of an achievement), now the worm thing has suggested the names of the big scary people from the opening cinematic so I now have to go after the big cheese peeps!

I was carrying around ~200k souls while I was helping people fight O&S, eventually I just gave up and leveled up because I got tired of waiting for like 20 minutes for every summon.
I spent about 4 hours in ocile township bonfire invading.
Someone made an orange soapstone sayings "be wary of darkwraith" and had like 13 ratings.
Felt good.
Also, anyone know how to get the arenas to work? I was SL 84 and stood on the waiting platform for about 15 minutes and nothing happened.
I also killed a cheater in The Depths early on, gave me 600000 souls.

Have fun fighting Gwyndolin.
Oh what the shit, the game kicks you to the title screen if your framerate isn't high enough.
Yeah, I'm amazed I wasn't booted back to the title during the Seath fight. When he did his big-crystal-shooty-thing my framrate dropped to literally about 1 frame every two seconds. Granted that only lasted for about 3 or 4 seconds but I figured that'd be enough to boot me, and make me do it over again offline.
Are most miracles defensive or are there quite a bit of offensive spells? I'm thinking of making a cleric for my next character.
Most miracles are defensive. The few offensive ones are really powerful, though... Wrath of the Gods and Emit Force are both very strong. Plus Tranquil Walk of Peace and Vow of Silence are fucking annoying to get hit by.
If I remember right your FPS needs to be shit for 30 seconds to be kicked back the menu.
Yo what? I just reflexively switched rings from the covenant of artorias to the silver serpent ring after killing the four kings, and I didn't die. I remember hearing that you would if you did that. I guess they changed it then.
You'd die if the 4 kings weren't dead. It's fine to take it off after you've killed them.
I'm trying to do what nobody else did and put my summon sign down in New Londo, but I've been here for like, half an hour and no one has even tried to summon me.
Where about are you putting the sign down and looking for signs? Also note that you can't be summoned / summon if the water is still up.

try the stone platform between the two wooden bridges

I've been doing that. And I know about the water.
How do my stats look?

I'd start upping that vitality a bit.
The Zweihander scales better with strength. It's not necessary to keep upgrading dexterity if you plan to keep using it.
I'd start upping that vitality a bit.
How far might you say?
Stats start to have diminishing returns at around 30 to 40, so around there should be fine.
