Okay so after about an hour of playing, I've learned that: a) the first boss took me three times to kill. the first I forgot how to attack mid-air, the second I was stupid and didn't circle strafe, and the third I almost lost. b) I am playing as a Wanderer and using the Keys. It's pretty good for me so far. c) this game is harder than anything I have ever played d) I LOVE THE SUN
Ok, I just bought this on Steam and it downloaded nicely and all that shit. But when I try to log in to my GFWL account, it says the username/password is invalid. Even though I can log into the LIVE website with it just fine, it doesn't find it when I try to play the game with it. Can anyone help? Am I fucked? I want to play online for Christ's sake... Furthermore, my computer also won't find my Xbox controller. I'm using the USB charge kit, which I was told would work just fine, but it's not.. I have the software to use it, but it doesn't work.. Fucks sake, I need help.
I don't think the charge kit works.
The USB charge kit is only for charging. You'd have to get a wireless receiver/wired controller.
God fuck, really? Jesus Christ, GFWL hypes that the Xbox controller can be used as a gamepad, and doesn't say jackmonkey squat about the charge kit... I wasted 20 bucks today. Great.
See if you can get your money back or trade it in for a corded controller.

Sure, rate me dumb because something that should be a function on a controller is not a function. Thanks.
Sure, rate me dumb because something that should be a function on a controller is not a function. Thanks.
It should be a function, but you could've just done some basic research before spending $20.

The usb charge kit for the xbox and ps3 work fine, If it doesn't install the drivers well you have to go into device manager and find the drivers manually. Also you can always use motioninjoy.
The furysword is pretty damned sweet

Has anybody who had problems getting invasions/co-op working got any tips how to do it? I've got all the ports but one forwarded(my router won't allow it for some reason) and in GFWL it says my NAT is open and such but every time I try to invade someone it fails. Likewise when I use summon signs, if I even get to it to begin with, it just fails as well. As far as I remember I didn't have these problems on the PS3 either.
There isn't much more you can do besides making sure NAT is open and UPNP is enabled on your modem. I think it's mostly GFWL being awful and people not forwarding their ports.

Woah jesus christ, the Catacombs can blow my ass with all the reviving skeletons so I end up fighting skeleton mages with an army of like 15 skeletons behind them.

What do I do after I kill Manus? Is that just the end of the expansion?
What do I do after I kill Manus? Is that just the end of the expansion?
Kalameet :)
Kalameet :)
Killed him a long time ago.
Killed him a long time ago.
Kill every friendly NPC
I'm around level 80 or so on my Pyro/Dex build, almost to my goal of 100. Been forest invading for souls whilst farming chunks at the kiln, I'm really happy with my unbuffed Uchigatana, think I'll make it +15. I actually won against a few gankers!
Lost 20,000 souls in Blighttown because I walked off the edge while locked onto a guy and the camera clipped into a wall... :(
I heard before doing NG+, you should kill all friendly NPC's, is this true if so why? jw
Well, most of them drop humanity and some good items. Before ending the game you can simply kill them for their goods. As soon as you finished the game it will restart from the beginning, repspawning all the npcs and reseting everything except your level and your items, beside some quest relevant things.
At work eugh I want to get home and explore the londo ruins I just lowered the water level eager to continue!!
Any tips for killing Sif & the 4 Kings early (~SL15)? I want to invade everywhere.
