How do you guys mod the game?
I alleviated Lautrec's suffering by kicking him off the cliff by the Fire Keeper.
Would a Divine Longsword outperform Astora's Straight Sword? I've heard the Sunlight Straight sword is good, but I'm not far enough to have that yet. :( I like the moveset/speed of the longsword family so I'm trying to find a good one to keep using.
Divine short sword +10 is more powerful then the astora straight sword however the ASS has more holy for all its worth.
A holy +10 sunlight straighstsword only does 7 more damage total then the standard long sword while having 1 more weight, however it is slightly longer. You can safely upgrade the longsword though its a decent weapon.
Fuck yes, my flatmate brought his ps3 with him. Finally I am able to play Demon Souls once I buy it, I always wanted to play the prequel. I played Dark Souls to hell, is it still worth to play?
Just beat the Capra demon on my sorcerer, feels good man
Oh man, I just had my best forest invasion.
I invaded someone and we both bowed and fought for a while when a red phantom invaded and started blindly attacking me. I killed him, and then the host's white phantom showed up. The host allowed me to fight the phantom 1v1, and again, to my surprise, I won. I healed and then the host and I continued our duel, with me winning the fight with a blind parry with the parrying dagger.
I can't say I've had 3 consecutive pvp wins before, and cleanly, too.
Spent 4 hours last night trying to coop with my friend, didn't work once.
I'm level 21, he's level 14. We were in Undead Parish, he hadn't defeated the gargoyles yet. I tried placing the sign down every 10 seconds, every minute, I tried spamming it, we tried quitting and reloading many times, quitting to desktop, we both joined Way of White, we preferred each other on GFWL, he tried placing a summon sign down and removing it...
He saw me three times. First two times I disappeared, third time he just a bunch of times and it would always fail. He did get invaded twice during that though. :v:

Yes. Both our NATs are open.

You need to be patient with the signs. Don't spam it, just place it and wait. It can take minutes to show up.
Me and my friend have been co-oping through the XBox and PC versions. Place sign, wait 5 minutes. If your friend can't see it, place it again. If he does see it and it fails summoning, you'll just have to keep trying, or switch and try to summoning your friend.
It also seems that there's different servers that you join randomly each time you start the game, which makes it hard to see eachothers signs. I think signs cycles through the servers, and a failed summon means the player wasn't able to bring you to that server for some reason (just my guess). Once a summon is successful, you'll be able to see eachothers signs instantly and be able to co-op just fine until you restart the game or your servers switch again, which rarely happens if you're not taking long breaks between summoning eachother
Also, the gap between your levels might be a problem, I'm not sure about that though.
Just got Dark Souls for the PS3 and already have the lube prepared for my anus.
Any tips for a newcomer? I'm still in the process of creating my character.

Patience and method. That is all.

Death is not a punishment, it's your main method of learning.

Sheilds and rolls.
The Crystal Caves are so annoying. Specifically the clams, who's bright idea was it so that taking a small hit from them will break all of your equipment? Fully repaired armor and weapons and get smacked once and it's all at 0 durability.

I just run straight past them into the fog. Actually, that's what I do with all the enemies in the game. Basically every enemy can be avoided by running really fast, so I never need to re-fight them if I need to attempt a boss several times.
Nearly got to the bonfire in sens fortress with the help of a randomer.
We was heading to the merchant on the roof and I jumped and failed the first time and rolled off, no pots left and like 10hp.
So I went back up the guy started waving and doing all sorts of shit, so I decided to do a run and then roll so I would jump further. At the same time he fucking ran at me and jumped, we both collided in mid air and we both died on the floor...
this game man
I just had a win streak of 5 or 6 in the Undead Burg. I think I'm really starting to get the hang of PvP.
The first time I was invaded was in Blight Town. I proceeded to shit myself and scream down my mic while my good friend took on the invader.
I'm in Anor Londo at SL15. I'll probably get to O&S tonight, which is gonna be hell without a summon saying they'll be able to 1 hit me.
I doubt there is anyone that is around the same place at the same SL, but I could use a coop partner for O&S. Add me on Steam if you're interested :v: (And of course, I'll return the favor)

oh, fuck me. just realized i never found siegmeyer in lost izalith to continue his storyline. will he be there if i go back, or did i lose that slab this playthrough?
Oh man, my friend was finally able to summon me. We engaged in JOLLY COOPERATION and killed some guy who invaded him before.
[editline]13th September 2012[/editline]
In order for us both to get all the items in an area, we need to do each area twice right? One where he summons me and one where I summon him?
Yeah. Also if you kill the boss in your friend's world you need to go back and kill the boss in your world too.
Hah. Told my friend that the butcher in the Depths was a merchant. He believed me, tried to go up to him...
Oh, the yelling. It was glorious.
Just beat the game. So where the hell was the furtive pygmy? The only mention of whatever that is was just in the intro cinematic.

nobody really knows. some people think the player is the pygmy, but i think the popular theory now is that manus is the pygmy.

god dammit the shit my friend pulled on me when i was playing
"so you see that big giant black knight lookin guy down there? go down the other staircase instead of up staircase to the tower, it goes to the taurus demon who you couldn't ever beat, this guy you just backstab and that's it and then you move on to undead parish"
"okay for the taurus demon you just need to roll a lot and you can roll through his legs"
"the dragon on the bridge doesn't breath fire"
"the rats don't poison you"
"you can't fall off edges"
