I JUST reached the blacksmith for the first time though so this is gonna be one hell of a journey without a blacksmith. :suicide:
Enjoy the gargoyles if you didn't upgrade your weapons!
What else can I do? I've done pretty much all bosses like Hydra, Gaping Dragon, Queelag, Capra, Butterfly, Gargoyles and Taurus.. The furthest I got him was to just under 1/2 hp in Stone Armor haven't came close in any other gear..
If you killed Quelaag and gargoyles, you should've rung both bells. Go to Sen's Fortress.
Dunno, farm souls and level, what level are you.
Ok cheers all, I'm level 44
Enjoy the gargoyles if you didn't upgrade your weapons!
Will Uchigatana+2 cut it?
OK, just killed Manus. Awesome fight by the way. As an aside, I feel the game gets significantly less interesting after you place the Lordvessel... it's not bad, but the later bosses aren't as good IMO. They're honestly all really easy, excepting the Four Kings. Plus the areas all rely on some annoying gimmick... the Tomb of Giants is pitch black, the Crystal Cave has invisible platforms, Lost Izalith is just LAVA EVERYWHERE! etc. The DLC is really up to snuff with the pre-Lordvessel stuff, though. Probably the best bosses in the game. Anyways I REALLY don't want to kill Sif. From are such assholes for making him mandatory.
Will Uchigatana+2 cut it?
You'll be fine. Just become human and summon Solaire from his sign outside the fog gate.
Ummm... ok so... What happens if I accidentally attacked the pardoner?
sin is inevitable
Plus the areas all rely on some annoying gimmick... the Tomb of Giants is pitch black, the Crystal Cave has invisible platforms, Lost Izalith is just LAVA EVERYWHERE! etc.
I joined the chaos servant covenant and farmed humanities solely so I could open up the shortcut to Lost Izalith which lets you skip 95% of the area.
Ummm... ok so... What happens if I accidentally attack the pardoner?
lol
I joined the chaos servant covenant and farmed humanities solely so I could open up the shortcut to Lost Izalith which lets you skip 95% of the area.
Yeah I opened the shortcut to save Solaire, and then took the long route anyways because I'm a completionist who must see EVERYTHING.
Man I was so mad when I accidently hit Andre, did absolution, came back, Andre is laying there dead. Just decided to restart with a new character, now I'm farther, and I have the DSfix backup saves. Never again.

[editline]14th September 2012[/editline] oh, by the way, anyone else get terrible framerates in the chasm of the abyss? my framerate drops like mad in there.
Andre is a fucking tank to fight. I killed all the NPCs at the end of New Game plus and he was a tank.
Doesn't take half an hour if you're new to the game.
Finally got around to defeating Artorias at SL 55. I didn't think a bolt to his head would be so effective.

Trying to get kalameet's tail has killed any interest I had in the game for a while everything I dislike about the game compounded into a single fight
Trying to get kalameet's tail has killed any interest I had in the game for a while everything I dislike about the game compounded into a single fight
Summon some dude and hope he'll help you with it. That's what I did.
Does the first page of the thread bring up a warning for anyone else?
Doesn't take half an hour if you're new to the game.
Took me ten hours. No joke.
Hey quick question, should I upgrade Spider Shield past +5 or ascend it? And if so, into what should I ascend it?
don't ascend sheilds ever unless you're going to fight with them (read: skeleton wheels) always upgrade them for increased stability [editline]15th September 2012[/editline] you can get them to +15 with the large/very large embers, which I suggest especially the grass crest
Sometimes I like to have elemental shields so that they will be more resistant to that type of damage. The major downside to that though is the supreme amount of stability you're missing out on. So yeah, never ascend shields unless it's for use as a weapon or to block a particular thing.

I'm glad I decided not to make this character around PvP. So far every invasion has been 24/7 getting backstabbed from people who are in front of you.
Yeah PvP definitely requires a good amount of patience.
