So uh, I'm wondering what ring I should use, turns out the Demon's spear does worthless backstab damage so I feel that the hornet ring isn't very useful, I do like 410 backstab damage with the ring on most monsters. I'm using the Ring of Favor and Protection, I wonder what else I should use for PVP.

I was thinking about doing a duel sword/no shield playthrough. Think it's possible?

It's certainly possible, but I'm really not sure if there's much of an advantage to dual wielding over just going two handed.

The archers are only a nuisance if you try to block their arrows, the key is to roll past the arrows until you're point blank on the archer on the right, he'll take his sword out and knock himself off the ledge trying to hit you if you block him. Also note that the direction you are looking in when the arrow hits determines which way you're gonna get knocked back, so facing the wall slightly making sure you won't run off, is actually detrimental to not falling off. Also if you have a ring of fog/hide yo' bad self spell, you can walk pretty close to them before they start firing. Actually I think I'll just do a single weapon/no shield playthrough. Using the Chaos Blade.

No shield is very possible. I found it pretty easy when I did it on PS3. ANYWAY: [img]http://puu.sh/15A4X[/img] Beat O&S at SL15 solo. Now I can move on!

Also playing without a shield isn't very hard at all. Did a no shield whip only run and killed manus in 3 tries. I stopped playing because at that point I realized the rest would just be a cakewalk.

Those javelin shooting motherfuckers have made me want to kill myself brutally. How do I get past them without using ranged weapons?

Best way without ranged is to run up to the ledge they're on, roll whenever they fire a javelin at you, until the one in your way gets out his sword. After that try bait him into swinging at you so he falls off the cliff. With ranged (makes your life much easier) grab poison arrows and shoot at them a few times from where the 2 lightning spear fuckers are, and just wait.

Playing on PS3, just invaded and killed someone in Duke's Archives. I got 877XXX souls from him! I wish I knew what level he was for me to get that many souls from him.

Pretty common amount of souls you'll get from PvPers or good players

Alright, so here's a story from my yesterday's playing. I've become a forest hunter to get some items from Shiva, later on I decided to equip the cat covenant ring to see if it actually works, and it did. After some battles I started invading same people. Later on I invaded to the same guy I've been fighting and killing before. This guy right here. It was two of us against one, I stepped left and didn't mean to attack because I don't like 2vs1 fights. Finally, I'm SL120, got all the gear I need, everything is fully upgraded except for my gloves and helmet. I check online to see where I can farm Titanite slab, see the darkwraiths drop them. 2.5% drop rate with 410 item discovery, fuck. There isn't really a good soul level for the forest because theres no soul level limits on who you invade.

Is there any way of doing stealth invasions apart from the Darkmoon Ring?

At the end of the game... killed all bosses, including Priscilla and Gwyndolin... maxed a good bit of gear (Uchigatana +15, Ricard's Rapier +15, Black Bow of Pharis +15, Balder Side Sword +15, and a bunch of boss weapons)... bought/found almost all the Pyromancies and Miracles... Ugh. I don't want this game to end. :v: I guess I should go kill Gwyn and move on to NG+, but the idea of doing everything again except with bigger numbers just isn't all that exciting. Ran into this problem on the Xbox, too. [editline]16th September 2012[/editline] I wish PvP weren't so insufferable. It's damn near impossible to find a match anywhere. The arena is borked. I stood on those hatches for a solid twenty minutes and watched half a gazillion red resonance signs go by, without ever getting a match. And then when you finally find an opponent, it's lagged to hell. Yeah.
