Just depressing. I thought I had this in the bag until I got cracked in the back of the head with magic from another king. (This was my SL15 run)
So, I just had a defeated the gaping dragon and reached the enterance to Blight Town. Should I go anywhere else to prepare or should I just inch my way down to the swamp?
Lower New Londo is brutal as fuck

Well, if you really want to, you could go back to the Undead Church where Andre is and go to the first area in the Darkroot Garden where those tree guys are at. They drop purple moss clumps and blooming purple moss clumps that will be very useful for blighttown.

head back to the asylum and grab the rusted iron ring, its valuable. if you've got some spare souls, the poisonbite ring from oswald on the belltower is nice too.
as much purple moss as you can from the female undead merchant is good too

If you haven't grabbed the Spider Shield in the Depths yet, do that. It has good resistance against poison and toxic, being really useful against the blowdart snipers.. It's in the room with the giant rat miniboss.
Right before I was about to fight the capra demon, I was invaded by a guy imitating it. He had two great demon machetes and he never ran, he just kept slowly walking towards me and doing those unblockable attacks. the hell?
I can't kill Gwyndolin. He's way too hard for me.
Agh, I hate waiting on invading someone, I'm just kind of chillin' in Firelink Shrine with the Cat Covenant ring on waiting on getting summoned but it never happens.

I feel like just making a new character and keeping him at SL20 to invade the burgs or help people in the burgs, I don't quite remember what level people are at when they get in the burg, is SL20 good?

If you've got a good glove and the bellowing ring as well as a dusk crown, try combustion spam.

Just be like me, go out questing then have an invasion at the worst possible moment

I would but I finished the game so I don't really have anywhere to go, I've got all I need and what not too. Guess I'll just go Human and run around in Kiln waiting for people to invade me.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic, but if not, he isn't too hard. Just use the pillars to avoid his arrows, and run diagonally to the next pillar to get closer to him. If he does the giant magic ball, dodge or run past it.
Tried summoning this guy in the Kiln to invade like 3 times and I got summoning failed everytime, my NAT and all that crap are all open :(

Sucks that I can't rest at the bonfire near him, and have to go all the way through the painting protector assholes.

Why can't you rest at the bonfire?
I just started a new game with the goal of putting all of my points exclusively into strength. I picked pyromancer and swiped zweihander from the graveyard as soon as I got to firelink, then killed the black knight in burg and got the black knight shield. I am now able to 1 hand zwei with black knights shield at level 14. It's hilarious and an absolute blast 1 shotting anything that comes near me, I don't think this new game could have started any better.
[editline]2fun[/editline]
I 3/4 killed the taurus demon with the drop attack and lightning resin. :v:
[editline]3fun[/editline]
Got the fang boar helm right away too, what the hell is happening here.
I'm giving up, I swear SL120 has no PVP, Kiln has nothing, tried Forest Covenant Ring and got nothing, I'm sitting in Undead Burg right before the first bonfire now and absolutely nothing.

Go make a low level darkwraith
Why can't you rest at the bonfire?
I shoot boob lady, [sp]turned out she was an illusion put on by Gwyndolin, so all of those moon guys got mad pissed and started to beat the shit out of me because apparently they were fooled by the illusion too. Turns out the real boob lady is chilling on some other continent.[/sp] I spawn at the first bonfire at AL, but can't rest at it afterwards. When I finish dying to Gwyndolin I have to run all the way up the flying flying buttress and across the rafters, pull the switch and go alllll the way down to him.
When I die, I respawn back at the start of AL again, even if I rested at that lower bonfire. It's tedious as fuck.
Go make a low level darkwraith
Low level being what range exactly?
Low level being what range exactly?
1-20 I would imagine
1-20 I would imagine
I thought if you were level 1 it would be more like level 1-713.
That's how my SL1 darkwraith worked. Not sure if cracked orbs would be any different.
If you've got a good glove and the bellowing ring as well as a dusk crown, try combustion spam.
Nah, the glove isn't leveled up once, and I don't want to level it up in case I need power within.
Go make a low level darkwraith
absolutely this.
i used to see no action whatsoever until i made my sen's fortress darkwraith at SL40, then there wasn't a moment where i WASN'T invading anyone.
then i went to SL46 and moved on to anal rodeo and plunged it into darkness so now there's no point where i'm not invading or being invaded :V
You can get an extra by getting egg headed and then talking to Eingyi, or if you're playing in PtDE, the hp drain no longer scales with the glove.

I think he meant so that I could invade people around my level, I don't want to invade level 713 people, if I was to mess around in the burgs I'd want to invade people at SL20 with others near that level.

Oh nice. I didn't know it didn't scale any more. Time to slap all souls into combustion then.
So after finding a save maker that just let's you make a build right off the bat ( what I was trying to do originally ) I set off on as Kirk, Knight of Thorns, for a no estus run.

I also finally was taught how to use the amazing texture replacers

Care to share about that save maker? I'm interested, I just leveled this guy to SL120 with everything fully upgraded and what not for PVP and I don't want to do it again just yet but I want to try out something new.
