I don't see what gives people so much grief with Bed of Chaos, I beat it first try. It's attacks are easy enough to dodge and the holes in the floor are easy to predict. Its pretty much near Pinwheel level of difficulty.
Oreos and Smores was pretty much the only thing in this game that frustrated the hell out of me, everything else has been smooth sailing before and after them.
The one thing that has frustrated me more in Anor Londo even, is that part where you have to run up this thin walkway, onto a thin building edge, and there are two archers shooting at you consistently.
I think I'm going to stop levelling dexterity and go pure sorcery/endurance/vitality and try doing some really damaging spells. Is there any way of increasing the amount I have per bonfire rest? I think I saw a screen of someone having 60 soul arrows instead of 30
Attune Soul Arrow to 2 slots.
pyromancer is easiest
Tanky Pyro is amazing
My next build is going to be a Str/Fth Sunbro. I'm thinking heavy armor and holy Zweihander/one of the great hammers. I'll call him Smashy McSunlight :v:
Just beat Sen's fortress (including the iron golem) and freed the wizard in the cage in just under 80 minutes. This is on my sorcerer character, beating the golem first time, I am very pleased with myself :)

That Golem was so dumb, I just walked to the side and he literally fell off and died like 10 seconds into the fight.

My personal favorite is the large club, for its unique one handed strong attack. The poison doesn't do anything though, since anything you hit will probably die before you can poison them.

It's also conveniently the lightest great hammer.
I decided I'd make a really stupid build (50 str, 40 end, everything else into vit) and wear stupidly heavy armor and see how different the game is when you can only fatroll.
It's actually a really nice feeling, you don't have to be afraid of getting hit by shit.
Right now I'm forest invading people with full stone armor, stone greatshield, and stone greatsword for shits and giggles, and it's working way better than it should. The occasional victories are really satisfying and hilarious. I actually tanked a 2h greathammer hit and hornet backstabbed the host of a gank I was thrown into. :v:
Only real problems I'm having with it right now are the abysmal stamina regen, and the slow movement does eventually start to get boring.

For the stamina regen you could go with either green blossoms or the cloranthy ring, that would probably make it bearable.
Yeah, I've been using the cloranthy ring for a while, it's nice to have a different ring though. I was planning on using green blossoms once I get better at counter-backstabbing with large weapons, so I don't feel like I'm wasting them.
Cloranthy ring and Heater Shield is amazing
Nothings getting past your defence
Any armor reskins and remodel mods out yet? Kind of interested in what people would do.

Good idea, I just got to sens funhouse on my run inspired by yours so far, started as a knight, been using the claymore since I could get it, it's currently at +6, and now I'm waiting for a summon at sens gate because I am terrified of the funhouse and have been since I went there for the first time.

Seeing as its been two hours, if you were playing the game, you probably cleared Sen's by now. In which case, I bet the boulders were a lot of fun, considering the slow movement. :v:
Tanking the golem was a lot of fun for me, he picked me up and threw me to the ground a few times and it hardly did any damage.
Hey guys, I really suck at parrying. Is it really hard for you too?
Anyone on PS3 wanna help me out with Lost Izalith in about 19 hours? The character I'm on is SL70.
Hey guys, I really suck at parrying. Is it really hard for you too?
For practice I put on the beefiest armor I had and found all sorts of enemies to practice parrying. It gets easier after a while.

Soon enemies will simply walk right into your sword.
Hey guys, I really suck at parrying. Is it really hard for you too?
For me parrying is really easy, which was strange cause I found parrying to be impossible in Demon's Souls. Basically the way I do it is to parry right when you see the enemy raise their weapons the highest it goes. That's usually when you'll either parry or partial parry. For things like spears, the animation is faster but that same idea applies. Unless you're talking about PvP parrying which I know nothing about.
Nah, I'm SL8, haven't had a single PVP encounter yet. Thanks for the help, guys!
Paladin(?) is working best for my right now, shield and sword is so goddamn fun to block, parry and roll around with. Most definitely worth the dolla I spent on it.
Not so sure about the PVP though, I teamed up with some random dude to fight a boss and we got devastated by a bloke who was casting spells and shit at us. Blocking did fuck all and rolling seemed to be the best way to go, but in the end we died trying to get remotely close to him. Just not sure if I suck or the PVP is a bit weird.
I was under the impression that the Centipede Demon was going to be hard, boy was I wrong, that guy was buggy as fuck.
I recently got my hands on Big Hat Logan's big hat, I love it, also this is bullshit right here, thank God for homing crystal soul mass.

These things still creep me out even if I have been through here before.
I don't know why you guys have trouble with the white knight archers, I just put on power within and crush them in one hit with my demon hammer.

I think it's the actual dodging part while trying not to fall the fuck down.
I really didn't find the Anor Londo archers hard at all. You just run like hell and don't look back. Run to the knight on the right and either spam WotG/Emit Force/Force. If you don't have miracles get a shield with enough stability to make him bounce so he'll make himself fall off. Then the bonfire is really easy to get to after that
My adventure into the catacombs is only getting more spooky by the moment

literally
Speaking of catacombs, where is the earliest possible holy weapon and do I need high faith to get rid of these fucking skeletons for good? Head through Darkroot and find the Divine ember?
