I just got to Lost Izalith. I switched out my Elite Knight Set for Smough's Armor, which is almost on par with Havel's armor. The Four Kings Boss, earlier, wasn't really a challenge when I had Havel's Armor because he practically did nothing to me while I wailed on him with my Lightning Iaito. The game is starting to feel like less of a challenge now, or maybe I'm just getting really lucky.

In 1-1, there's an area where you can actually walk down to where 2 dragons are sitting. There's a ring that doubles equip burden under one of the dragon's tail. You'll have to grab it before he swats you with it.
I would do that, but the red dragon is guarding it. I tried to lure it onto the bridge, but it doesn't attack the bridge anymore...
If I remember correctly he just breathes fire on you or something if you're not fast enough.
You can stand on one of the bridge towers with a 100 or so arrows and easily kill that dragon too.
I wonder if the DLC continues the story or just adds a branch that's not really related to Lordran.
woo, just beat the two dickholes in Anor Londo with the help of a Sunbro. Solaire though did aboslutely nothing and didn't come through the gate. Also because of this vessel I went straight from a normal scimitar to a Quelaag's Fury Sword +4.
Also I killed fatty first because Ornstien's armor is sweeeet
For shits n giggles I'm also going to make a Dragon Bone Fist so when I make a PVP twink I can falcon punch people into the air
Also whats with the small nest at the beginning of the game when you go over to it it says "Give me warm, give me soft..."
I heard you can trade shit with it

You can drop certain items in the nest (it has to be IN the nest), and the next time you load your game or come back to that area, she'll give you a different item. You'll have to look up on the wiki as to what items she'll give you though.

That's Snuggly the Crow. If you drop certain items, quit and reload your save, you can get something back. It's like a trading thing, sort of.
Also, I'm at the Duke Archives now. Final Lord Soul to get, then I'm going to fight off Gwyn, get the good ending, and take a much needed break for Dark Souls. I have lots of MGS to catch up on.
Cool, I'm going to get quite a few twinkling titanite off her. Too bad they took out the infinite glitch, would be nice to roll in my SK/Ornstien with +5 right off the bat.
Also do you think the Painted world would be a good choice after beating Anor Londo since I have the doll now
Man, try to be a bro to a host that summoned me because I need a few thousand souls to level up my Strength to be able to use my lolbonedragonfist I made with the Core, so I tried dropping a Demon Spear and a SK Spear. NOPE, TOO BAD PHANTOM INVASION WHILE YOU WEREN'T LOOKING AND BACK STABBED NOW NO ONE HAS SUMMONED ME SINCE.

I beat Four Kings earlier today, that fight really sucks without a lot of vitality because you can pretty much be killed in one hit.
Now I'm a soul level 1 Darkwraith and I can invade pretty much anyone; I'm invading people in Undead Burg but I'm using equipment at their level, it's really fun being able to have a good fight with people and not using cheesy shit that I can easily 1 hit kill them with.

Ahaha oh my god this is so much fun. I was fighting this sl1 and he summoned some dude that had some pretty late game shit, and I just great combusted him in the face as he tried to attack me so I could continue my fair fight with the host.
I dropped a shield for him while we were fighting, and eventually he beat me because I thought it'd only be fair to let him heal, and his bleeding damage eventually caught up to me and I died.

You can also jump off the cliff and the item will be there when you return.

Yup, that happened to me when I fell through the floor and got suprise-buttfucked by the aoe-spamming Stray Demon.
I'm intrigued by the empty chest behind Gwyndolin, I might try killing him with the lifehunt scythe or great lord's greatsword just to see if I can get something spawn there

Paladin Armor has the most curse resistance in the game.
I just beat the game. That final fight was a piece of shit until I started to parry Gwyn to death.
Then I deleted my file. Now I'm going to start over and use the knowledge I have now after beating the game to make my next run smoother than the last, and with an effective build and isn't just pure melee.

Just to clarify, I loved the final battle. And the ending. The game is fantastic. But I deleted my file because my first build and character was absolute shit and when I thought about it, all I wanted to do was really beat the game. There were a lot of things I missed, such as joining the Darkwraith Covenant (which is what I really wanted to do) and the next run will cover over the things I messed up.
Oh no, no posts within 24 hours.
To contribute; I think I might have tried doing the painted world too early and unprepared as I just beat O&S, SL 40, and I don't have any Blooming Moss Clumps to cure toxicity from those tumor jerks.
Hell I did it before doing Ornstein and Smough you should be fine. While i was a wizard which makes things quite a bit easier you can either finish them off with throwing objects like firebombs or just run around them.
There is a shortcut later on so if you just run to the end you can get a shortcut back making all the above enemies irrelevant.
I love games like this. Games that you really feel the accomplishment when you have finished the levels. Games where you get frustrated, when the battle at the end of a stage is tense, that's when you get a real sensation of accomplishment, and it feels so good.
Also, is the ring in Demon's Souls 3-1 stage that makes you get more souls by kills worth it? It looks like it costs way too much souls, but maybe it can make it up easily. Is it worth it?
So I spontaneously bought 2 games on Friday; Dark Souls and Twisted Metal for the PS3. Tried out Twisted Metal and wasn't impressed. Yesterday I began playing Dark Souls and am hooked. I'm stuck battling the Taurus Demon and put the game down to do some homework. I feel as though I could have fucked myself over because I have a bow but no arrows and I'd like to get the Drake sword somehow. Couldn't find a merchant anywhere before the boss battle and there was a knight blocking some entrance but he kept handing my ass to me so I just left him alone.
The Dragon will stick around until you kill it so you can always get the Drake sword whenever.
If you still haven't found a merchant then: [sp]from the bonefire inside the tower with broken stairs walk out, turn right down the stairs then turn left and kill the 2 spear guys. There's a few boxes near where the spear guys stand that you can break, revealing a staircase, go down that and you'll find a merchant.[/sp]

I've always been confused on what does what more, usually due to me being a phantom quite a bit, I do carry a bit of humanity on me 24/7, so I was thinking chaos...
