Is it bad to kill the Firekeeper at the beginning of Anor Londo?
Is it bad to kill the Firekeeper at the beginning of Anor Londo?
no
Good, I really enjoyed it and now my Estus is even stronger.
I need to know which would be better for pvp, Fire, Chaos, or Lightning? I've always been confused on what does what more, usually due to me being a phantom quite a bit, I do carry a bit of humanity on me 24/7, so I was thinking chaos...
Lightning is generally pretty good but because you have humanity on you, you're probably better off with chaos. It might keep stat scaling too, not sure. Also, a lot of armor is weaker to piercing damage, especially strike damage. So if you're looking for a new weapon to use, there's something to consider.
What armor is best armor upgraded black iron?
There's not really any set of "best armor" as each set offers something different like fire resistance, slash attack resistance, curse resistance, poise, etc... But if you're talking pure physical defense, then fully upgraded giant armor has the most of it.
Right now I am using the Shadow armor that can be found in Blighttown, it is fucking badass and has really good poison resistance. Unfortunately you need a lot of twinkling titanite to upgrade it which is really rare. Smough's armor is all around the best. It has the best physical defense in the game other then the giant armor+5. But it doesn't have lower stamina regeneration and making it better.
on the other hand you're fat and have giant bronze nipples i'm a personal fan of tarkus' armor, mostly because building pure Iron Tarkus is so hilariously fun. Death to everyone! [editline]5th March 2012[/editline] I just realized I haven't played this in like a month. [editline]5th March 2012[/editline]
Oh no, no posts within 24 hours. To contribute; I think I might have tried doing the painted world too early and unprepared as I just beat O&S, SL 40, and I don't have any Blooming Moss Clumps to cure toxicity from those tumor jerks.
Backstab them or kill with fire/fire weapon, then they don't explode. Or just run past everything, kill the undead dragon, glitch his back half, run to Priscilla, then leave/kill her.
I wonder if the DLC continues the story or just adds a branch that's not really related to Lordran.
Alright, I know I'm incredibly late here, but what about DLC now?
What armor is best armor upgraded black iron?
To expand on this a bit: There's like four or five different things to look at when you're picking armor. Here they are, in order: 1. $wag. Yes, swag. Swag is clearly the most important armor choice, as looking baller as fuck while you bash skulls to death is what defines you as a good player. Here's a list of the most swag armor: Big Hat Onion Helm Black Cleric's Robe Seeker's Robe That's it. 2. Poise. Poise, if you don't know what it is, determines how much damage you can take before you're plowed over. Here's how that works: 0-35 poise: You'll get stunlocked by anything, including fist jabs. If you're wearing armor that doesn't give enough poise, you'll want the wolf ring (adds 40 poise) before it's viable at all. That, or be hilariously good at dodging or breaking stunlocks. I suggest the ring. 36-55 poise: You can take one or two hits from shortswords/spears, but no more. 56-75 poise: You can take one or two hits from greatswords, three or four from shortswords. 76+ poise: you probably won't get this, and it's not worth it usually. This lets you absorb one or two hits from an ultra greatsword (or 2h greatsword) before you get knocked over. If you're good, you won't get hit at all, making this pointless. I'd aim for 56 poise, that's usually all you need. 3. Auxillary effects. This doesn't happen much, usually just on helmets (mainly crown of dusk and Gwyndolin's gay hat). CoD has 35% +damage but also -20% resistance to magic, Gwyn sun has +20% damage but no -% damage reduction. This is really just a matter of preference. 4. Stamina Regen. Certain heavy armors have stamina regen penalties. I don't remember which ones, but Iron Golem and Giant have the most severe penalties, Black Iron and Tarkums have slightly less of a penalty, and for some reason Smough doesn't have a penalty at all. Go figure. 5. Weight. One other important factor to remember is weight. If you can stay below 50%, you can equip the DWGR and roll around like an annoying ninja, which I personally am against but you kind of need it to be good at PvP, so that's your call. For PvE it doesn't matter at all. So, the best armor depends on your class. The defense stats aren't as important as you'd think, really. Obviously, the higher the better, but it shouldn't be first on your list of priorities. I wear Sage Robe, Havel Legs, Havel Gloves, Big Hat. I hate how Havel Legs look, but the robe hides them. Legs+Hat gives me exactly 56 poise, so I can take a couple hits. The robe is to hide the legs, the hat is for pure swag. Everything I can upgrade is +5 (sage robe has best stats for light armor). I usually wear Havel's ring and my secondary slot is either DWGR or Hornet's Ring. Hornet's ring is accompanied by changing my shield to a chaos +5 parrying dagger, because people that know what they're doing will never attack someone with a parrying dagger, so it gives me time to regen/heal up. Or they attack me and get instakilled by my monster riposte.
Killing the illusion of Gwynevere has severe consequences :v:
Killing the illusion of Gwynevere has severe consequences :v:
Severe, or awesome. Mostly severe.
Well after killing Gwyndolin I thought that I could also kill Gywns daughter, so I attacked her. I never would have thought that Anor Londo just vanishes into dark and that every enemy disappears, only 2 human enemies await you when exiting the chamber of the princess.
I'm terrible at this game. Getting from the Undead Burg to the Undead Parish took me about 4 hours :saddowns:
I had the same at the very beginning. I sucked so much and choose a bad class that did not really fit my style. The mechanics were also unclear to me. But once you get the grasp of it things will be fine. I restarted the game after playing for 10 hours because my character was so shite.

I'm currently a wanderer, only at SL 19.

I forgot how hard this game is when you don't wreck shit to oblivion. :v: I'm running about with a +5 Claymore in the Depths. The Gaping Dragon has kicked my ass twice, even with Knight Solaire and another summon helping me. It's balls, I tell you.
Well shit I've been using my Quelaag's Fury Sword +4 and they still made me toxic twice.
I just kicked them out of the way / off a ledge. Or just got Toxic from one of them and said "Fuck it" and just went through the area until the shortcut with Toxic on. :v:
You can try making yourself toxic with the dung pies (the toxic status from them does less damage than regular toxic status) to get past.
You know i played through the entire game with only 12 poise and didn't mind to much. I'm not even that fantastic as a dodger I mean sure it helps that I was using the dark wood grain ring but still. Also didn't know that sage robe was the best light armor. And here I was using the Xanthous overcoat all the time.
I'm terrible at this game. Getting from the Undead Burg to the Undead Parish took me about 4 hours :saddowns:
I'd say enjoy that, because your second playthrough of this game and onwards is going to be very mundane, it becomes very trivial after the first playthrough. Unless of course, you try some wacky builds. I'm doing the... Dick Ass Thief Build, was it? Thief armor or Shadow armor only, and only daggers, katanas or the claw, I just joined the forest covenant to get a claw or two, now I'm trying to see about getting the darkwood grain ring.
I suck at this game, I've lost so many upgrade soul thingies. [editline]5th March 2012[/editline] Nevermind, I got the drake sword and now I'm getting souls left and right.
What class did you begin with? I'm currently a wanderer, only at SL 19.
I started as a Knight, but he is really slow and heavy. Besides I wasted some skill points in stuff that was not relevant to the class. I fucked up a bit and then I chose to be a warrior, more agile but still pretty defensie. Now I am a wanderer to, havin very light equipement and jumping around and trying to be a ninja. It is great fun.

I might be wrong on that, but it seems accurate. Has like 41 defense, which is higher than most, if not all light armor chest pieces. Dingy Skirt +10 iirc has the highest bottom defense, but you'd need a titanite slab so unless you want to farm it (like i did), don't. Second best I believe is Oolicile's skirt, but I may also be wrong about that. I just picked the sage robe because it hides Havel's leg armor, which always looks like centaur legs to me for some reason (and they will now to you). It's a matter of preference, really. Hell, I have a full Dragonform character I use for PvP. That's no armor at all, like a REAL man.
The Ring of Leo is really boosting the poise, my poise is like 17. With that ring it is 57.
The Ring of Leo is really boosting the poise, my poise is like 17. With that ring it is 57.
That's the wolf ring not the leo ring silly billy
I'm rolling with a +10 claymore at the minute and it says on the wiki that you can go to +15 regular. Which blacksmith allows you to do this & what ember do you need?
