I really need to let people do their bow before swinging my Great Scythe at them during Invasions, it's just I get startled and swing early before their animation starts. Like today, some guy ran in on me so I slashed at him, but he was bowing so I kind of had to stop and just sit there feeling silly.
Man, is Oolacile Township the new Kiln of the First Flame for SL100 invasions? Getting invaded 24/7.
i don't get the point of bowing. I invaded some guy and he bowed at me and I just went up and smashed him with black knight greatsword and killed him in a few hits before the animation finished. He then messaged me and said something along the lines of "go fuck yourself asshole" and I don't even know why.
see theres a bar between being an asshole and the hero this game needs
you passed the bar by not bowing
and I don't even know why.
gee maybe it has something to do with you killing him while he was trying to be polite

It's called being polite, something that seems to elude you. You're pretty much a dick for cheesing a guy during a bow and not having a fair fight.
Even people doing co-op bow to each other. Bowing in this game represents a simple greeting and to show some respect.
I remember my very first playthrough I didn't know you could access stuff like bowing but the first time I was invaded and the guy bowed I knew just to stand there and wobble a bit in some way of communicating back, not just to hit the guy :v:
It is done, Dark Souls is complete.
A credits sequence has never meant more to me.

The true Dark Souls begins here.
Bowing is also a way to say "This is a respectful duel" as opposed to being some P2W MLGPR0 micropenis.

Finishing it once isn't finishing it. Unless you did Ash lake and valley of the drakes, seen Gwyndolin, went to the Painted World, completed everyone's quests.

Hmm, all I missed was Gwyndolin and Ash Lake then. But hey, NG+ is full of new opportunity.
If you guys ever invade someone called "Barmyexponent82". That's me v:v:v I usually hang out at Darkroot Garden.
[sp]I somehow got that name instead of "Calle7112"[/sp]
Also are fire keeper souls rare or is it something you can find easily?
theyre rare
also lol I'm level 40 and invaded a level 70 fully decked in great gear and won without taking a hit. <3 dex build
I've just, for the first time, been summoned to someone elses world and helped them defeat a boss which was the capra demon. It was extremely satisfying helping someone over-come it, I think I've found my new calling.
Sunbro, I choose you! :) I was already going for a sword/shield heavy armour faith character anyway
Oh my fucking god, Sen's Funhouse, me and a friend are being summoned to help another friend and it makes it so Sen's Funhouse spawns additional boulders and it's a fucking nightmare.
Any tips for Ornstein and Smough? I have no humanity so I have to solo it. I'm using Quelaag's Furysword+4, the Thief Set (mask and gloves +6, armour and boots +8), the ring of steel protection, and the blue tearstone ring.
Also I'm level 60 with vitality 16, endurance 35, strength 16, and dexterity 29, everything else is base.

I found it easier to avoid the fast one while taking pot shots at the fat one until he died, but plenty of other people find it easier to deal with the fast guy first. You can block pretty much every attack the fast one throws at you, even when he enters angry mode after you kill the other guy.
Regardless of which one you want to take out first, the key is to keep them separated while you do. The fat one moves slow so this is pretty easy, but if you fuck up and get near both at the same time you're going to feel some pain.

You should get the Cloranthy Ring and Grass Crest Shield, as well as the Thunder Stoneplate Ring.
Two hand your Quelaag's Furysword and prepare to roll, over and over again.
Just make sure you can do the fast roll.

Also, be sure to stay in the middle of the area. Weaving in and out of the pillars can help block some of their attacks, like Smough's hammer charge.

You can toxify both of them, so you could just throw some dungpies and wait for them to die.
Thanks for the help. Smough is a fucker, I managed to get a humanity from some phantom crab thing, then during the fight my summon distracted Ornstein so I could take on Smough. He hit me once and every time I stood up he was already mid charge. 3 hits I couldn't dodge.

Those phantom crab things are called Vagrants, and are very rare. You're super lucky to have come across one.

You should be glad. You ran into a vagrant. Super rare. In my 6-7 playthroughs, I've never run into one.
Holy shit! I won. Thanks for the help guys. This is the feeling you play Dark Souls for.

My rule of thumb is that, if an invader bows, I treat it as a duel. No healing, no BS (like Wrath of the Gods :v:), etc. If they just run right at me, I treat it as an invasion, meaning I WILL heal, and I WILL TWoP and then WoTG them.

Oh shit, is that what those are? I was going through Chasm of the Abyss in coop and there were two of them near the bloated sorcerer near the bridge that goes down to Manus.
I hate fuckers who spam Force.
I can tolerate force users alright, it's just those damn people that have like 4 slots of WotG and spam them that get on my nerves.
So my friend and me both killed Kalameet and got the calamity ring, so we decided to have a naked fist fight with only it equipped:

Something very interesting happens like 30 seconds in. Fight lasted 13 minutes, had to cut it somehow so I only included backpunches.
