Can I summon/invade/see the messages of players on their first playthrough while I'm new game plus?
It all depends on your SL, right?
It really sucks to invade people over in like, China or something. The p2p is so bad that I get backstabbed from the other side of the room
I feel like i'm the only one who has never used the Drake sword at the beginning of at least 1 of my play-throughs.
I don't think it'd do the job better than an upgraded sword.
I think I've only ever obtained the Drake Sword once and that was just for the sake of having it.

I never touched the Drake Sword or even got it on any of my characters, on my first guy I used the starting sword until I got the Winged Spear in the graveyard and used that Winged Spear all the way until I got the Demon's Spear in Anor Londo.

I've had a string of 10 people disconnecting to avoid PvP :v:
What SL and where the fuck do you go to get so much invasions, I get jack shit in PVP and summons at even SL50, even my SL10 Darkwraith doesn't get much action anymore and when it does it's against SL300 guys that fucks me in the anus.
Decided to try invading for the very first time.
"Master of world has challenged area boss"
Well that ended quickly.
Darkwraiths or Forest Hunters? I'm on PS3.

I'm SL15 hanging out in the Parish

Darkwraith for maximum PVP, Forest Hunter if you enjoy getting ganked.
I love my SL30 guy in blight town, I feel famous. I've gotten at least two "Be wary of darkwraith" messages and several angry messages coming through. I might change it up a bit, I've stopped using firestorm on platforms only to intimidate on the swampy bit now.
I felt bad when I killed the same guy for the third time and it was back-stabbing literally an inch before the fog for quelaag.
I also met a nice guy, both bowed, fought for a bit and got a message through saying "Wow man good fight but you smoked me! What's your build?" which was nice.

I tried doing some darkwraithing but I got so many failed invasions in blighttown. The only place I can consistently get invasions is in the parish

Tips:
Death is a learning method, not a punishment. You really do need to Prepare to Die.
Don't put points into resistance, you can get all it's benefits from armours.
Pyromancy doesn't rely on any stats, so don't be a moron like me piling points into intelligence. (Int is still good for sorcery though)
The level of you equipment is more important than your character level, a fully decked out level 1 can wreck the game.
Parry and dodge, don't rely too heavily on blocking/tanking because your stamina and HP will get demolished early level.
I have a question, is there an easy method of getting into the darkwraith area in the New Londo Ruins? I fucking hate fighting ghosts and drakes wreck my shit.

Assuming you lowered the water just jump down by the stairs.
Man, that Capra Demon is really fucking me up the bum. I think i'd be okay if it weren't for the fact that his dogs just maul me, keep me from moving anywhere, and then he clubs the fuck out of me with a big hammer swing, then the dogs finish me off.
If I could just get to higher ground or fight him 1 on 1...
Run straight to the right and up the stairs, the demon won't follow you up there but the dogs will. Kill the dogs, heal up if you got hurt and do a drop attack on the still-grounded Capra Demon.
Once the dogs are dead, you pretty much win.
Can I join the Darkwraiths if I don't have the Lordvessel yet?
Can I join the Darkwraiths if I don't have the Lordvessel yet?
Yes. Although you need to kill Ingward for the key to the seal. You can also warp from the abyss bonfire, so you aren't stuck down there forever.

Thanks. I was wondering how I'd get out of the Abyss without the Lordvessel.
Hey, add me on steam, I want to try co-oping this shit.
Sorry I would but I'm playing on PS3. Anyways this game is super confusing and the manual doesn't really explain much. What are the point of the white lights in between doors? Do they actually do anything? And what is the point of humanity? So many things happen and I have no idea why they are happening.
Came up with a Nuzlocke Challenge for Dark Souls

What do you guys think?
Humanity lets you do shit like become un-hallowed and kindle fires.
I don't know what kindling fires does, but I think un-hallowing yourself makes you do more damage or something? I don't really know.
Un-hollowing yourself makes you human and allows you to be invaded by other players, invade other players and summon other players. Kindling a bonfire makes it give you extra estus flasks.

kindling brings up the maximum amount of estus flask uses you get from that fire
5 -> 10 -> 15 -> 20
(you can only kindle once though until you beat pinwheel and get rite of kindling)
also unhallowing makes it so you can do multiplayer things

Kindling Fire increases your number of Estus Flasks. You can only kindle bonfires once until you obtain the Rite of Kindling by defeating Pinwheel in the Catacombs.
Reversing your Hollowing will make you Human again, which allows you to summon other players for help in areas. The only benefit from staying undead is that you can't be invaded. It's a double-edged sword when it comes to becoming Human.
If I'd known going through to new game plus would take away my Rite of Kindling I'd have kindled all fires before fighting Gwyn.
I kinda wish the game would tell me shit. I mean I don't like hand-holding, but it'd be nice if it told me what shit was when I found it.
Like I only just found out there are merchants in this game... 8 hours in.
you say 'shit' in your posts a lot
also you need to explore more thoroughly if you are only just finding a merchant

Only flaw I see with this is people that are knowledgeable of the game. Like, I could easily just go through shortcuts and shit to get a great set of armor and great weapons right after I get out of the Asylum just because I know where to go and where to search.

Does the two spell limit mean attunement slots or actual equipped spells? Also, the fifth rule is kind of confusing and weird; pretty much all the armor you find in the game is obtained as a set, and if you find a set while naked would it mean you can only use up the one slot and discard the rest? Because if that's the case you could just buy armor from a merchant and problem solved.
Also, does NG+ change anything?
[editline]a[/editline]
Oh, and are you allowed to turn your weapon into a boss upgraded one?
The demon followed me up there :(
I was doing okay once I killed the dogs, but by that point I was severely injured.
He followed you up? Good lord that's unlucky, he's never followed me before.
Also, does NG+ change anything?
Makes enemies harder, you get 3 times the souls for beating them.
On the subject on NG+, my NG+ character is fucked, I can't open the door to the lower undead parish despite having the basement key. I know I can just take the shortcut to Blighttown and never go to the Depths but I wanted to do everything.
He followed you up? Good lord that's unlucky, he's never followed me before.
He always followed me up
He always followed me up
He always chills at the bottom for me.
Maybe my Capra Demon just has a brain tumor or something. :v:
The demon followed me up there :(

He'll follow you up the stairs and usually do a jumping attack, it'll cause him to fall down so you can do a pluinging attack wgile he's stunned. If you have a thrusting weapon like a spear or the estoc you can kill the dogs more easily. He's also super weak to lightning, so that's a thing. Gold pine resin, it's rare but super useful.
