Alternately, you could equip your best armor and your highest damage weapon and try to tank him.
Iron flesh would help a lot.
maybe high poise would work, yes

oh man, if i have 2 havel's rings can i have massive equip load?
rings dont stack
invaders in the forest are such nice people, got invaded a few times, won some and lost some but all of them bowed and let me kill any enemies i was fighting before beginning to fight me
Opposite what happend to me today. Since I started NG+ and didn't kill all non-respawning npcs in the forest, going there in human form was a bad idea. I got there, started killing mage and knight suddenly fog gate, 2 spirits invade (Oh fuck oh fuck) I kept fighting npcs and guy who appeared on the stairs ran up to me and rammed me with uchigatana and 2 npcs finished me off.
So, is there any place i should go to before going into sens fortress? Just rang the second bell, i just feel undergeared for that place.
Those snake mofos are insane.

Dont worry. [sp]It only gets worse from here[/sp]
So that's a no? I only did Quelaag in blight town, then rang the bell and left.
Is there anything else of interest in there?
You could always check out the demon ruins. That's a jolly fun place.

block em and hit them when they recoil.
I'm sitting at level 45 out the front of Penn and Teller waiting to be summoned and I'm getting nothing. I've had one failed summon and an invasion, am I the wrong level or what?
You should probably be level 55 because most people are level 60-65
Is it that you can summon upwards a good way but not downwards? When I was going to have a go I found quite a few going in and out but didn't get summoned much myself.
Also beat them first try with the help of Brolaire and a guy in full Ornsteins. Pretty happy with that but I'm gonna stick around, it's a fun boss with phantoms.
Woot, beat Gaping Dragon on my SL1 character. Damn it's rewarding to pull off boss kills like this.
gaping dragon is like the easiest boss though
Taurus demon and Pinwheel are both easier.
I don't even accept that Pinwheel is supposed to be a boss.
I mean, I had harder times fighting fucking rats
I joined Gravelord covenant, I wish I could see POV of black phantoms that I've spawned in other worlds. Standing and waiting for people to actually get to my gravelord sign is boring.

It's really only boring for me if I'm on PC where usually it's connection failed galore. Hosting/gravelording on console is much more fun because then the multiplayer actually works. Dunno if people would disagree but even at SL 100 I still get failed to invade in all of the hot spots.
So glad i was streaming at the time.

How did he even get that far in when he had so much trouble with just one balder

sometimes you derp, especially if you're being stressed out by some glowing red half-naked dude following you
Holy shit, I never remembered Ornstein and Smough being as this hard. I beat them on my third attempt off-line on Xbox, but on PC it's taken me 10+ times and I still haven't won.
You probably got lucky or something the first time around.
Welcome to hell.
I think i'm going to start a my first SL1 run. It's well overdue for the length of time and experience I've put into this game.
Do it, it is actually not that hard. Besides of some bosses. You can still upgrade your gear, which is vital.
Same :)
Man, a friend and I planned on doing a cooperative playthrough. So we both are playing the game on the same level and we always do the same area twice, so we also gain additional souls.
So currently we are at Sens Fortress and we constantly die :v: honestly playing as 2 guys is a lot more dangerous. When you play alone you are a lot faster and do not have to care for the other player.
Anyway are constantly being invaded by some idiot who lures us into his traps and enemies. He also sents me hate messages :v: calling me a pussy and unmanly because I quit the game out. Well yeah, hiding behind enemies is not less honorable. I just want to get through with my pal.

Any recommended weapons?
Well, mostly the weapons that you are able to use with your limited stats. I used the longsword, it is fast and versatile. It can also be upgraded with all kinds of stuff.
Awesome, I like the longsword. Thanks.
Longsword has an ideal moveset, with broad slashes and thrusting moves. Besides it scales well enough with dexterity and strength. The silver knight sword is also really good. The Balder Swag sword is also decent.
Pyromancers are the only SL1 class and they can't wield longswords.
