Dark Souls (PC/PS3/360)v2 - Prepare to Die edition. - Games

I still think a Four Kings "survival mode" would be awesome, where you just kill as many of them as you can until you die. And if it had a scoreboard, just ugghh, why can't there be cool more things like that in the game.

Wow, I just got invaded by most confusing spirit of vengeance I've ever seen. So he invaded me and didn't attack me. I kicked him to let him know that I'm an enemy to him. That guy run up to the fight and just watched. After I killed forest hunter he still didn't do anything. Later he returned home. What was that all about? I judge by his starting gear that he thought that I'm his ally? Some people do things like that just to shoot the shit. There was one morning I did a forest invasion and it was me, a red phantom, and a host, and we were just beating the hell out of each other with weapons we didn't meet the requirements to use, and eventually we all just jumped off the cliff.

Is my game bugged? Whenever I die in Twilight Anor Londo, I respawn at the first bonfire in Anor Londo but since the fire keeper is dead I cannot use it. I either have to run all the way around the painting guardians or go back the bonfire in Sen's Fortress. Am I the only one having this problem?

Forest invader story Invade some guy who is getting killed by a red phantom I'm only using my Dragonslayer bow and I set it up, ready to shoot. I fire a couple of shots that all miss. The red phantom is poisoned, so his health is slowly draining. The host and the phantom get far enough apart that the red phantom runs off, and as he does so. I line up my shot and hit him right in the side, killing him. I get a lovely message from the red phantom that said, "WHAT A FUCKING NOOB" and then he sent me another message saying, "GRANDEST PUSSY OF THEM ALL GRATS" oh boy but then the host didn't bother thanking me or anything for killing that guy and he just started to attack me. We got disconnected so neither of us died.

Invaded this gravelord multiple times in Undead Parish who had black knight armor, avelyn... and infinite health. First time I died, second and third time I left... fourth time there was a spirit of vengeance. He was down where the tower knight is, we were up where the channeler is. He sent me a message saying if I killed the other guy he'd give me a soul of gwyn. So I stood there for a bit, waiting to see if he told the other guy the same thing, he never attacked me so I backstabbed him and then kicked him. He fell down, guy killed him, got my soul of gwyn. Totally worth it. (Even though I'll never use it, and yes I know he probably had 99 of them)

I recorded the first part of my sorcerer/cleric let's play tonight but I was pretty tired, I hope it turned out okay. I'll upload it in the morning.

I never knew that you could parry those giants wearing clubs in blighttown. Can you parry rock throwing ones too?

As someone said earlier it'd have fight scenes as over the top as Dragon ball Z but the protagonist loses. Always.

To those of you playing on the PC, is a controller really necessary? This game looks really good, but I would rather not have to buy a 360 controller just for this game.

Any tips for a completely new player?[/QUOTE] Play your first game blind, don't invest in resistance, and know that the letter grades is that stat scaling for either STR, DEX, INT or FAITH. I.e. If you weapon has E in strength and B in Dex, the weapon benefits more from a higher dex. Also how fast you move depends on what weight range your armor falls into compared to your total carry weight, <25% is fast, <50% is normal, anything higher is fat roll. And to backstab you cant have your shield up. Welcome to Dark souls.

Well, I went with a warrior and the Taurus Demon handed my ass to me. I like the combat though, I only get hit when it's my own damn fault. Now, to get my 1500 souls back...

Was playing on a new character and was roughly around SL15 by the time I get to the Parish as a human. Some guy invades me who is pretty much wearing armor that looks a lot better, and has a really large weapon I couldn't recognize. So I head up the stairs to the right of the Mecha-Boar where the crossbowmen are and chill right at the edge of the cliff. We pretty much walk around with our shields up a bunch of times, he goes and throws his sword at the crossbowers, whom he let me kill along with the spearman. So then he comes back up, I don't bother holding up my shield and we just start using random taunts at each other. He then drops an item for me, which happens to be a Chaos Gargoyle's Halbred +5 and I pick it up. Shit was tight. I dropped a copper coin I got from Petrus for him, which he took as my thanks. Lastly, he wrote, "Try Death" on the ground, and I had my ghost dagger out. Reason that matters is that I used some specific attack where my guy leaps back a few feet, which I did right off the cliff alongside him. We died as good friends. What a gangster.

Finally started my duty as darkwraith. So I invaded some guy in blighttown, ran up to the bonfire as usual, he's there. But not moving... he was afk. Instead of killing him I've waited.
