my usual plan for most areas was to clear them out before moving on, but when i saw the amount of them half dragon things I just "ha nope" and ran through
Lost Izalith is just so unfinished... Right before the fog door to the bed of chaos you can see outside the map easily.
Oh god, that STOMPING ATTACK.
The best way to kill them IMO is to not. But if you insist, you can pull them all the way to the entrance, and they can't fit. Then you just pelt them with arrows or very carefully slash them. Usually I just leave them there, though.

The enemies are somewhat dumb because it are bascially only rehashed ones. But the Ruins are pretty neat. I also like how you can see the Demon Ruins and Ash Lake from the Tomb of Giants.
I spent the whole day invading people in Darkroot Gardens. It's a pretty weird place because some of the people there are in their 100's, while others are what I'm guessing are 20's because they run around with Drake Swords. For the lower levels, I try to switch to my dark hand so I don't kill them in 2 hits, and avoid using my pyro spells. I also ran into this dude that ran to where the stone knights were and he didn't find the bonfire yet, so I guided him to it and then used my black stone. Though earlier today I got 100k souls off of someone wearing a mix of Havel's and Dark armor. My best story for today though is when I invaded some mid-level sorcerer. He had his crystal soulmass ready, so I sprinted toward him and then rolled forward to avoid them, causing him to roll twice to the side and off of the cliff. We never made contact but I got indicted. :v:
I've spent a good three hours now trying to beat Ornstein and Smough, anyone willing to help me out? Xbox 360 level: 66 Ingame name: SteveFromHR Gamer tag: Squirrel Cannon
I've spent a good three hours now trying to beat Ornstein and Smough, anyone willing to help me out?
What system/level/IGN? That's kind of necessary, bro.
I've played this game through once on my first character, and about halfway through on three other characters, I've never done co-op, do I need some faith requirement if I'm hallowed? Because I remember reading of some faith requirement.
As a hollow, you can only do co-op if you're the one putting down summon signs. As a human you can summon people from said signs.

K, so, I just tried out dual wielding claws, this is pretty ballin', I think I'm going to go through the rest of this character file in wolverine mode.
Good luck with that.
Yeahhhh, it's not going so well.
As a hollow, you can only do co-op if you're the one putting down summon signs. As a human you can summon people from said signs.
Don't forget if you're human you risk invasion, although it's not really a problem.
I forgot how hard this game is when you don't wreck shit to oblivion. :v: I'm running about with a +5 Claymore in the Depths. The Gaping Dragon has kicked my ass twice, even with Knight Solaire and another summon helping me. It's balls, I tell you.
You may be past this part, but I found the gaping dragon to be one of the easiest bosses in the game. All you have to do is wait for him to do his patented face smash walk move. Once he flaps his gaping vagina face to the floor, stay out of his way when he walks in the direction he's facing. The instant he stops moving, slice him or blast him a few times. Rinse and repeat. Also, for a progress report. I'm now 27 hours into my main character, level 68, using a +4 Black Night Greatsword as my main weapon. It's slow, but it does work. I'm also just wearing the gold trimmed set, it's not great for defense, but I feel it makes me quick enough to dodge most attacks. I've killed the ceaseless discharge, firesage demon, stray demon, and pretty much everything but the last four bosses. My stats aren't anything special, but I'm definitely getting the hang of this game. I've also been through 'most' of the Dukes Archive, but that place is a bitch even if my sword one-hits most of the things in there. What are some easy bosses to level up on near the end? I still haven't killed the wolf, but I'm a bit hesitant to begin that battle. Those cat things are fucking ridiculous. Also, am I the only one who has trouble playing this game sober? If I'm not high/drunk when I play Dark Souls, I just get angry at it and give up, but when I am I feel like I play great and I don't make as many dumb mistakes in general. I fear this game may be turning me into an alcoholic. EDIT: One last proud achievement, I beat Ornstein and Smough on my second try, which was pretty tight. Killed Ornstein with pyromancy, then just wailed on Smough with my giant sword.
That is how you defeat Biggie Smalls, yes. They're my favorite fight now. Easiest boss fight (main bosses, obviously) is probably either Gwyn or Iron Golem. Hardest for me is still gargoyles. Can't do it without a summon, which is strangely irritating.

I've used the standard NPC summon signs, but it's only really been useful for Queelag. My Xbox has never been connected to the internet, so online play is out for me. I feel like I'm missing a large part of the game, but the challenge of doing it alone is pretty rewarding. Where abouts is this Iron Golem fellow? Do you mean the one in Sens Fortress? I've killed him already.

There's a clear path if you use the Crest door and just hug the cliff along the left side, just keep going forward, through the ruins, when you get out of the ruins with Alvina the door to Sif should be in the far back.
Hardest for me is still gargoyles. Can't do it without a summon, which is strangely irritating.
Wow, really? I guess it can be an awkward fight being a medium sized arena with two targets, every character I've made after my first one I've one shot them though. Easiest and hardest? Hum, Easiest... probably Gaping Dragon, although technically he isn't a main boss. Legitimately hardest boss for me, was probably Quelaag, she moves considerably faster than you, and her attacks will always chip you, not to mention, half the arena is covered with lava at all times. The circle strafing thing is nice and all, but half the time my path is obscured by lava.

It's easy to keep track of Ornstein/Smough because they have different patterns. The Gargoyles have the exact same pattern so it throws me off sometimes. [editline]8th March 2012[/editline] Queelag is easy. Hug her legs until she stops circling to follow you. If she's ready to swing, you can roll into her body. If she bends down, back up. Repeat until dead.

So I wondered... does her ass explode when you hit it too much or is it just one of her attacks? I beat her the second time I tried, that time her ass didn't explode. :v:
Her aoe ass explosion always instakills me [editline]8th March 2012[/editline] there's also a severe lack of online activity in the tomb of giants
Nobody wants to be in a dark tomb where you can jack shit. Although I love the area.
...But why,[SP]Solaire[/SP]?

Luckily they both are obvious. 1: She bends down to hug the spider head. If you can't roll quickly (you fatroller you), just mash B/O. You should back up fast enough to get out of range, usually it's only like two rolls. 2: The spider butt lifts up, then slams down. Smaller AoE, slightly more damage than other one. Just get away from the spider in general. [editline]8th March 2012[/editline]
Nobody wants to be in a dark tomb where you can jack shit. [editline]8th March 2012[/editline] one of my recent favorite activities has been to invade in Anor Londo with the Fog Ring, sneak around someone, then raise the shortcut platform when they're on the bonfire side. Then I unequip the ring, praise the sun, and black crystal out. I invade specifically to fuck with people's shortcuts. the hatemail I've gotten is immense, and immensely satisfying.
you're a horrible person [editline]8th March 2012[/editline] Also been grinding like shit for dragon torso stone, finally got it earlier today and used bottomless box item dupe/transfer glitch and made a new character that I'll only reinforce vitality, endurance and resistance with and be a dragon-warrior :v:

Just fought Quelaag for the first time since my first character, she wasn't quite as hard as I remembered her.
