Getting back to Firelink through Valley of Drakes is fine, although I did accidentally fall down the elevator shaft and have to run back from the Quelaag's sister bonfire.

Once I figured out which way to go it was a lot easier though, I missed a ladder and was basically just dicking around in the wrong spot.

I know it was dumb but at that point I just wanted to get back to Firelink after killing the boss.

Any type of Lightning Spear miracle makes bosses look bad, but I guess spamming it is a cheap way to kill a boss.

Is Lightning Spear sunbro-restricted? I never actually knew. I want to switch to Darkwraith in NG+, but I'm not entirely sure.

No, you can still use it outside the covenant.

Sunlight Spear is covenant restricted but the other lightning spears aren't.

I keep getting two hit in the Archives because the crystal undead do too much damage, and since I play with HUD off I really can't tell how much damage I'm really taking. I'm used to being able to get hit around five times before death, and I don't notice the blue aura around the undead until I have died. Also, I found that 3 shot crossbow ontop of that bookshelf. I can't wait to see if I can add lightning or fire damage to it.

today I learned that I can easily riposte with the Washing Pole without any effort at all when I've got a black knight shield to go with holy shit changing the game

I made my 70 a 100 in preparation for the DLC drop and it's currently prepped for all the incoming nerfs (GS nerf, DWGR nerf, etc)
