We all have to make sacrifices. Assuming you play on PC, you can kill Artorias in the DLC and buy his set from Domnhall as well. You can upgrade it, and it looks pretty cool/somewhat similar. EDIT: If you can deal with the base stats being pretty low that is, the physical defense for Artorias' chestpeice is not as good as Ornstein's.
That's what really sad about Artorias' armor, It's good for low levels. Like 20-30.
That's what really sad about Artorias' armor, It's good for low levels. Like 20-30.
True, but I guess we shouldn't think it was perfect, seeing as it was being eaten by the abyss.
I find ornstein even easier than smough. You just dance around his legs and dodge forward when he attacks.
Smough was so easy for me to kill. I can go the entire fight without even getting touched by Smough. Which is why Smough is much easier to fight as Super Smough too, at least for me. Ornstein just loves to teleport and fuck shit up.
I always kill Ornstein first.
Smough first for me, I like ornstein's armor and weapon better, and plus, his final form is easier IMO.
So, I killed Smough first. WORTH IT. I have to use the starting Wanderer hood and gauntlets to medium roll (havel's ring included) but this armor combo is greeeeeeat
Havel's ring plus ring of favor and protection=wear all the armor and still medium roll. [editline]20th October 2012[/editline] Oh god this thing can attack through shields.
That's the ring setup I use too
I'm thinking of getting this for pc, do you still have to use the 60 fps fix and the resolution fix, or has it been implemented to the game in some way? Also any more mods/fixes I should know about? Thanks in advance
I just use the resolution fix, I haven't tried the FPS fix since I read some things about it potentially getting you banned.
the resolution fix is this right http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?tag=dsfix ?
Havel ring + Favor and protection is fucking amazing, it lets me medium roll with all of Lautrec's gear on a SL10.
I just use the resolution fix, I haven't tried the FPS fix since I read some things about it potentially getting you banned.
Why on earth would you get banned for using an injector that fixes FPS when people blatantly using trainers are still here? It's pretty clear at this point that nobody is getting banned for anything on PC. Check the book of the guilty if you don't believe me.

Also, the four kings. My body was not ready.
The one in Anor Londo is a little tougher because he's in a much smaller room than you tend to meet a Titanite Demon in. I took him out when I needed the demon titanite, but I let him be for a long while.
And he seems to have a ton of HP compared to the others. I can kill them pretty easily now though. Except for the one in Lost Izalith. Fuck that guy. I usually just run past him...
Apparently all I had to do to take out the Four Kings was put on Havel's set and hit them with a greatsword a lot.
I can't play Dark Souls until tomorrow night and I REALLY want to play my Sorcerer. Sad face.
Is forest hunter popular on PC with SL100?
Is forest hunter popular on PC with SL100?
I don't think there's a level limit as long as you haven't killed The Great Gay Wolf
I don't think there's a level limit as long as you haven't killed The Great Gay Wolf
You'd think I'd know these things by now
ugh fuck the netcode in this game earlier a friend and we were having fun being Ornstein and Smough together, weapons and all then I get back from doing stuff two hours later and shit isn't working.
You'd think I'd know these things by now
Don't worry, I didn't realize that the only difference between the R1 and R2 attacks was the animation until about 70 hours into the game. I thought the really slow, exaggerated stab with the claymore did significantly more damage.
I'm pretty sure they DO do more damage if not then I think some of the heavy attacks break blocks
I'm pretty sure they DO do more damage if not then I think some of the heavy attacks break blocks
R1 swing does around 548 last time I checked, and the R2 stab does about 578. R1's combo attack is much quicker and deals with horizontal swings, whereas the R2 combo has a slow stab, and then an uppercut which takes about twice as long as R1. The minor difference in damage isn't worth the extra recovery time.
I'm pretty sure it also varies weapon to weapon.
I'm pretty sure it also varies weapon to weapon.
Yeah, definitely.
I don't think there's a level limit as long as you haven't killed The Great Gay Wolf
Another thing, if I killed the wolf as a Forest Hunter, do they hate me now?
Another thing, if I killed the wolf as a Forest Hunter, do they hate me now?
nope
No.
okay seriously what the fuck I've been fine with most of the bugs I've gotten (a LOT) but this is where I draw the line fighting seathe that faggot just covers all of the floor in spikes, can't get up, etc. so I die, get teleported to a bonfire I've never been to. Try to open the door, says it's locked, try the other door, also locked. Try warping, says "this bonfire is cut off from the rest"

It's how it progresses.
