My SL may be a tad too high,
Well what is your level?
That feel when you miss both pvp events hosted by ENB. First, because his level was ten levels below me. And second one because of time zones.
I have a +10 winged spear and the soul of ornstein, how do I make the dragonslayer spear?
Speak with the giant blacksmith in Anal Rodeo.
I was grinding for some shards on the Depths slimes and I noticed someone had put their sign down and I figured, why the fuck not? We cleared through the entire level, beat the shit out of Kirk and even summoned Solaire for the Gaping Dragon. Then he died in the first minute of the fight and so did Solaire leaving me with a superpowered Gaping Dragon to fight on my own.
I still managed it.

Take it to the Giant Blacksmith, he can ascend it.
Fucking hate how Dark Londo is actually a different level from Anor Londo in terms of coop.
Is it worth turning Anor Londo into Dark Londo?
I never knew there was a Dark Londo.
):
I wish I had a "thing" to do in DS.
I can't level up my main, because I'm too shite but can't figure out a decent build.
Never tried pyromancy though, and somebody (The guy in the thread) rapetrained pretty hard with it.
How would you go about doing it?

Well, now I'm considering a dex/pyro build. Ricard's Rapier+fire.

Definitely use Power Within with Ricard's Rapier, strong attack gets a huge bonus and stabbing frenzy rapes everything.
I'm putting a few points into Attunement just so I can use it in my current build.
i went there i don't see any option for it?
[editline]21st October 2012[/editline]
ooh there it is, i found it
[editline]21st October 2012[/editline]
oh my god manus is the worst fucking boss, he has two different magic attacks that i need to deflect with the silver pendant, one of them requires me to delay my reaction like fuck in order or else the shield will disappear too fast, the other one requires me to react fucking instantly AND BOTH LOOK THE SAME
[editline]21st October 2012[/editline]
WHY do they have to ruin GOOD FUN BOSSES WITH RETARDED BULLSHIT LIKE THIS
you can use the pendant more than once in a row, even though it doesnt feel like you can
at most you should need to use it twice to completely block his attacks
Is it worth turning Anor Londo into Dark Londo?
You get the brass set, DarkSun's soul and some miracles, but it breaks 2 covenants and locks you out of normal Londo coop. I always do it on play 1 because I wanna get all armors, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Is it worth turning Anor Londo into Dark Londo?
If you want some free invasions, sure.
If you want to bro-op, no.
My Solaire hoodie shipped yesterday.
I'm going to be the most grossly incandescent motherfucker in this thread.
Man this game is piss easy in the beginning with a +5 Gargoyle Halberd and +3 Elite Knight Armor set.

If you think that's bad, try a +15 claymore.
I was playing with my friend and an invader dropped one for each of us.
We oneshotted the first boss.

I'm working my way up to that. My claymore is at +5 currently, but I'm only an hour in and Capra dropped without me using an Estus. Considering the reaming he gave me the first time I played this game (without guides or reading up on how to upgrade or anything), it was satisfying. +6 is after I get the ember near the butcher, correct?
Using a fancy PS3 airflow fan-controller thing that has the 360 button/stick layout, and I can't play Dark Souls with it, because xboc360ce and ds3 don't pick up the controller correctly :(
What a shame.
Nah, just use the Standard helm, the one that you start with as a warrior. It has the same weight and only upgrading to +6 with Large Titanite shards makes it better than the Garg helm fully upgraded. You can use it if you like how it looks, but it's no better.
The Gargoyle helm actually has the best poise to weight for helmets, offering as much poise as quite a few helmets, including the catarina helmet, at 8 poise. It's really useful for getting the amount of poise that you want without as much weight.
So I decided to pop back in-game for the first time in a few weeks and went back to my 2h warrior. Was annoyingly stuck on londo archers (never happened before) and in 30 minutes I managed to get past them and beat ornstein/smough. Both first time, very productive :)
Oh man I love the Ring of Fog in Dark Londo. I've had pairs of invaders search for me for at least 30 minutes each.
I might just have to be a bitch and kill the undead merchant for his ushigatana, this estoc isn't cutting it by itself for my dex character. Or maybe I should just use armor a bit more.

Don't remind me of those archers...
Finally got my Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring.
Aw.
Yiss.
I decided to use the Ring of Fog in Dark Londo as mentioned above.
Holy shit, this goes great with being a Gravelord. I am a terrible person.
Anyone need help around SL50? Tell me where and I'll plunk my sign down.
not sure if this is late but i needed to post it
i suggest turning your volume down around the 1:00 mark

I am really bad at videogames.
I think the reason why most people find S&O hard is because they lock on and they use shields. Locking on makes it harder to see both of them and doesn't allow you to run freely (and running around is invaluable for dodging attacks). Shields, especially in boss fights, rapes your stamina too hard to make safe counter attacks depending on your weapon and your END. Dodging every attack is much more efficient and can place you in advantageous spots as well.
A difference between to me compared to other people doing O&S is that I don't wait for them to come to me I come for them. Sometimes going on the offensive is much safer than the defensive simply because you can control where the fight takes place.
