But isn't is subject to massive diminishing returns past 40?
I believe that's only for weapons that only scale off of INT. INT and FAI I believe are the two damage stats that are okay to go up to 50 for. If http://mugenmonkey.com/darksouls/ is any accurate, then going from 40-50 INT gives slightly more magic adjust than from going from 30-40 INT. I tested it just now with the sorcerer catalyst and the tin crystallization catalyst (32 INT is the minimum you can have for this) and it checks out okay. IMO you should only go past 40 if you're going to use the tin crystallization catalyst
why would you ever use the calamity ring i don't get it
So you can say you're a ~PrO~?
why would you ever use the calamity ring i don't get it
Challenge. After a while you want to relive the achievement you felt when killing bosses for the first time.
also fuck people who invade you in anal rodeo and move your elevator platform
also fuck people who invade you in anal rodeo and move your elevator platform
I like the invaders that turn the gramophone back on in dukes.
I like the invaders that turn the gramophone back on in dukes.
not nearly as bad that's just annoying to your ears but this is actually a problem for me because I am in Dark Londo now, and the original Anal Rodeo bonfire isn't able to be lit. Come to think of it, when I tried, neither could the one where Solaire was..
If it isn't the blowdart assholes poisoning you, it's the shitty frame rate drops on the PS3 that'll kill you in Blight town. I don't see why some people are complaining more about Sen's Fortress than Blight town. In my case, I died in Sen's Fortress only twice, in which both deaths were of my own stupidity whereas I died in Blight town multiple times due to the shitty lighting and cheesy enemies.
Man, there is so much speculation in this game. I read the description of Havel's ring again, and interpreting it differently, one can assume that the man down there is not Havel, and instead one of his devout followers.
I guess I majorly fucked myself over here. I joined the dragon covenant without a means of getting back. [editline]22nd October 2012[/editline] fuck.

Apparently it is possible to force yourself into peoples games as a white phantom. I've been forcing my help upon people for the past hour in Sens Fortress.
I guess I majorly fucked myself over here. I joined the dragon covenant without a means of getting back. [editline]22nd October 2012[/editline] fuck.
You could always darksign your way out.
no I mean there are two bonfires near the everlasting dragon- in the beginning and where he's actually at. what I'm primarily fucked at is getting back up that mother fucking tree trunk. the great hallow. [editline]22nd October 2012[/editline] I used to bonfire at the everlasting dragon btw.

I helped some guy and sent him "Safe travels be upon you friend." He replied with "I thank you greatly. I'm not too sure how you found I was in need, but I owe you. Godspeed." I love this community
Well it's not like they're banning people for using cheat engine. Is there a guide or is it something that you figured out?
Well it's not like they're banning people for using cheat engine. You can help with the boss and everything. [sp]You can also use it to be summoned as an invader[/sp]
So what do you do in-game to trigger that? Need to be a Darkwraith and invade normally?
So what do you do in-game to trigger that? Personally I like to be a sunbro and use broken orbs, so you force yourself in as gold phantom. [editline]22nd October 2012[/editline] It's all essentially a way of finding co-op without the wait
Hey everyone, just wondering whether or not it's worth my time buying that gem thing which opens the door and allows me to retrieve the stone set in the forest? Are the enemies past the door hard? This is my first play though and I don't really want to waste 20K souls when I could use them to level up. I'm close to having to fight the hydra so do you think it would be wise?

I'm just trying to figure out how to paste that code into CE now, never really used this shit before. If you can't afford it now, 20,000 souls isn't a lot later on so it's fine to wait.

I just polished off the dragon thing in the depths and that wasn't to difficult
You think I'll be fine defeating the hydra in Elite knight armour + Drake sword? I just polished off the dragon thing in the depths and that wasn't to difficult
Oh boy, this shit again. The Hydra is easily defeated as long as you stand in the water, block it when it lunges and then chop it's heads off. You really shouldn't be using the Drake sword, the scaling and ease of upgrading makes almost everything better than it. There's not really a lot wrong with the Elite Knight armour, but I reckon you're fat-rolling, right? Reduce your equip load to under 50%, a few points of armour aren't worth much.

As if you created Dark Souls, I was just asking questions there's no need to be a pretentious twat. I'm guessing Fat Rolling means equipping the maximum amount of armour possible.

Fast rolling is under 25%.

On the screen that shows all your stats, the second column should have your equip load. If you are over 50% of your maximum, you fat roll and move slower. These are the usual pitfalls that new players encounter, there's someone else who had the same issue a few pages back, Drake sword and Elite Knight armour too. Would you rather someone helped you get out of these traps or do you want everything to be even harder?
Right ok, so do you suggest equipping armour that isn't so heavy so I am able to move/roll faster?
There are a lot of armours, your equip load changes based on your endurance and depending on which armour pieces you have so far. While there are tools which calculate what is the best combination for your current build, it's just as valid to try a bunch on, not be too worried about a few extra points of armour and wear whatever looks good as long as it is within the weight limit. Just play with it a bit but keep in mind that mobility is important. And so is upgrading, make use of the Blacksmith because it gives way better bonuses.
