There's a table that has a LUA script thing that lets you choose items from a list. I may or may not use that to make every one of my PvP characters.
Interesting.
Just about ready to start on the DLC now after about, 30 odd hours. The armor set's and weapons in the DLC are all Twinkling Titanite based, right?
Yep
Good, Don't want to be grinding for Titanite Chunks now. I've been spending most of today upgrading everything possible to the absolute brim. Gotta get back back to the past, Even though I'm not from the past.
wait what does the chaos blade seriously damage you when you use it? well fuck that, I don't wanna use that, what weapon should I use for a Dexterity build?
with an attitude like that youre not gonna get anywhere
wait what does the chaos blade seriously damage you when you use it? well fuck that, I don't wanna use that, what weapon should I use for a Dexterity build?
The Chaos Blade's effect on you is very minimum i think. Let me double check myself. Edit: Okay, make that not so minimum. But its not that bad if you use it carefully. It's nothing healing would fix in between fights. Edit Edit: I think its 20 health damage on you for every successful hit.
Dunno, the wiki made it sound pretty bad, and since I'm pretty bad I figured I shouldn't use it. :v:

I've missed and it's still hurt me before.
I just helped some idiot with a Drake Sword, Crimson robes and a Garg helm breeze through Anor Londo and beat Rodgers and Hammerstein on their first try. While it's probably something that I managed to carry him, I can't help but feel guilty because he's going to be in real shit soon enough.
Depends what platform he's on, I'd check his achievements and see if he's a newbie or someone crazy enough to stick with the Drake Sword.
It's 20 damage for every hit near an enemy. I've missed and it's still hurt me before.
Maybe you're getting phantom hits on them. It's definitely coded so that it only hurts you when the game detects a hit, though, so a true miss won't hurt you. Also the main perk of the chaos blade is the fact that it has a reasonably higher AR than any other fully upgraded katana, while carrying 10 humanity. It's a great option if you don't rely on buffs, and possibly even better if you have something to cancel the damage out, like Sanctus or Replenishment.
Pretty sure you can't get phantom hits on NPCs in your own world. :v:
Pretty sure you can't get phantom hits on NPCs in your own world. :v:
You actually can, on "human" npc's like the forest dudes and the hollow priests, if you keep swinging after they die. Same for bosses. It'll also still hurt you if you hit their shield or otherwise any part of them that won't do damage.
OK so I just beat Gravelord Nito and I'm at the Duke's Archives, after my embarassing use of the Drake Sword I've switched everything around and I'm finding things much more my pace kit is now: Silver Knight Armour + 1 with the chestplate being + 4 + 6 Greatsword +12 Longsword + 1 Gravelord Sword Eagle Shield Balder Shield Better than my last check in in this thread I think

Jesus Christ you beat Nito with a drake sword?
Edit: I should probably have resized that but meh, and no not with a Drake Sword I had a Drake Sword at the start of Anor Londo heh
If you got your strength to 27 and dex to 40, you could have a pretty solid "quality" build. I'm actually working on one myself. The longsword is pretty practical seeing as you have a good amount of both strength and dex which is good since you'd get more damage out of it than you typically would with pure strength or pure dex.
Fucking bought Artorias of the Abyss. I wish I knew none of my characters were anywhere near having the Lordvessel. I hadn't even rung the bells on my main, up to Ornstein and Smough now.

Quite fond of my Greatsword now as well, completely mauls the iron guardians or whatever they're called in Anor Londo.

Though in many cases it's not worth it. If you like the Greatsword, you could opt to get 27 strength, and use the Zweihander; you'll be able to one-hand it, and if you don't like the R2 on the greatsword that much, you'll be able to pancake things with the zweihander's. They're both really good two-handed at their required levels.
Jesus Christ you beat Nito with a drake sword?
Not like it'd be hard, just take 20 minutes to do.
I wish there wasn't a character limit. I don't like choosing which characters go into purgatory...

I have everything i need on this play through so i don't need to do new game plus for the odd little thing. [sp]Artorias doesn't fuck about. I'd hate to fight him if he had a working shield arm[/sp]
...you put points into Resistance?
Easily the best attribute in the game put more points in to it
Well, I'm feeling sad now. I saw another Vagrants at Oolacile township and a fucking spell caster homing sniped me off the stairs into my death after surviving a dragon slayer arrow to the head. Fuck sake...
