Dark Souls (PC/PS3/360)v2 - Prepare to Die edition. - Games

Is there any other way to play with a PS3 controller without MotionInJoy?(MIJ servers are down either way so I can't use it) Tried using the libusb drivers but couldn't get them working and I'd prefer to use the controller again over the KB+M.

Why did I never parry before? I never thought to learn it until I got to Gwyn, now I love it on my new character.

Hacking on Xbox is not 'get save, edit save, put back on Xbox' because of the cheat protection. Modified saves don't work properly, even if you do use cheat engine to get around this you still always have the chance to break your save and should keep a backup on hand or just not do it until you've beaten the game and don't care if you lose saves [editline]29th October 2012[/editline] also parrying is not huge in PvP, but backstabbing is. parrying almost 100% relies on you to have insanely good timing and to adjust to the lag. backstabbing does not; while riposting does do more damage, still, it's a lot harder to do

Trainers, I think they're called. Can't do that on xbox. Besides, I'm just saving time. This character took me 20+ hours to make and I fucked up so I'd have to go into NG+ and play another 15 hours just to be ready for PvP. This is so much faster. Also it seems like doing it on xbox is a bit more complicated than on PCs. I had to find a DRAK file, whatever that is. Oh. That makes sense. Didn't even occur to me that they'd do it that way. Seems wasteful, now that I think about it. Damn, this doesn't have the new DLC sorceries. :< Guess I'll have to beat them all again. Unless you guys know where I can find item IDs that aren't included so I can add it myself.

I like how countering an enemy that is taller than you(most of them) results in a fatal dick-stab. And of course there's the boar near Undead Parish that you can kill by shoving your sword up its ass.

With Cheat Engine on PC you can't really [I]give[/I] yourself items, only replace existing ones. Shit's annoying.

The funny thing about editors is you can always tell who uses them. Sure, you could have a lightening weapon capable of bypassing shields(whatever that sword is called) with a pile of dung piles to throw at everyone, but there's far more people invading like that than have actually done that with their character. Oh yeah, that thing. Apparently for that to work on PC you need to disable GFWL... I tried using it a couple times and it'd just say the save is corrupt.

i must say, it certainly is tempting to not just immediately play god and max my character out and trivialize everything but then there'd be no challenge so I won't.

I should go in with a Artorias' Greatsword and Greatshield and see how long it takes somebody to call me out.
